Tell us why here...I am rejecting this response because: The difference in cost from an emergency call to a call was only a small part of my complaint My main complaints are that you were trying to take advantage of me You would not repair my garage door the way that I had asked, even though your website states that that is a service you provide and includes a year warrantee You also tried to upsell me two, much more expensive options Then you snapped the other cable which I needed to replace You might think that this is not a big deal, however, when you left my home the door was in worse condition than when you arrived This and your unethical up selling is all totally unacceptable

The best we can do is refund the difference between our regular service call of $from the $charge since service was completed and the door was opened and shut totaling over hours of our time between driving and your jobWe can issue a check for $

We will refund the difference of our regular service call of $and the $paid since a service call was scheduled and completedSo it would total $we would also please ask that you edit your review on [redacted] List since now you would be getting a regular hour charge and that is what your main complaint is

The best we can do is offer a partial refund since work was completed and we did take the time to rearrange our schedule to make sure your car was out in time for work It does come as a surprise to us that you feel we are unethical and up sold you where we have had numerous customers say oppositeWe do pride ourselves in making sure the job is done right and last a long time, we set forth what we had to offer we did not bind you to any contacts or items to purchase, we provided options on repair and assisted in getting your door open to remove your car along with securing it closedThe 2nd cable was sheered which is why it was cut, again it had nothing to do with the raising of the door but the actual closing once it was raisedYour type of springs extend upon lowering the door so there was no need to have them extended that second spring was not touched, if the other company sold you on that, that is between you and them

I am rejecting this response because: First of all, as you can see from the attached photo from your website, Sunday is classified as regular business hours. Emergency services are available before and after business hours for service and repairs. You arrived at my home at 9:Sunday morning. According to your website this was not an emergency call.I have had another repair company come to repair the door. They were shocked that you cut the cable on the other side. That never should have been cut. They said you should have used a tool that would stretch the spring so the door would be able to be lifted open quickly. So by you cutting the cable that has cost me money to repair your mistake. The repair company I secured had no problem going to get the correct springs and other parts to repair the door. He said yes the door is old but it is in good condition. The door has probably another to years of life. He repaired the door within one hour. I realize there are other ways to repair the door but that is not what I asked you to do. Also, you can say you offered me the wall control free (a $value) and the $“emergency service call” deducted from the bill for a new door or *** Conversion system but none of that matters. All I wanted was the door repaired. You tried to upsell me from the moment you entered the garage. Right off the bat you said it would be $1,for a new door. When I was shocked then you started to come down in priceThe entire repair from the other company that I acquired from Home Advisor was $235.00. That included the replacement of both springs and cables as well as pulleys and the repair to the wall control. I did not need a new $wall control, a *** Conversion system or a New door! I just wanted it repaired. I understand there are new safer system out there but that can be done later if I want. Right then I told you all I wanted was the door repaired. It CLEARLY states on your website that that is one of the services that you provide and it includes a year warrantee! Please refund my $129.00. You caused more damage to my door system that I had to get repaired and you were so unethical in your upselling of the system and new product! Sincerely, *** ***

As explained to the customer over the phone while scheduling Sunday hours are emergency only and if can wait until Monday morning we can have someone out 1st thing.  The customer then said she needed it done today. (Sunday) upon arrival to the home we found her existing garage door to be over...

30 years old and not up to safety requirements. Her one spring was found on the ground after seeing the other damaged components such as her wall control  wiring and cables and pulleys and not having a required safety cable. It was explained to the customer that the most cost effective repair would be a new door for the long run and we would be able to apply 100% of the emergency service call towards her door, or a possible torsion conversion would be needed in order to safely have repair done. This is not am upgrade and was never presented as an upgrade. It's solely a newer safer system. We also included a free wall control with free wiring. The customers vehicle was in the garage and needed to be removed so after manually lifting and wedging the door open the extention cables were cut on the side where was previously was attached  (not the spring) before opening the door it was explained  to the customer that it would have to be done in order to get the door down. But in reality it doesn't make a difference since in order to do even the same type of spring that was on the existing door  that part would have been cut and replaced. I am not sure how this customer believes we are in the wrong by not only going out to her durring emergency hours but also giving her 3 solutions to her current problem with explanations of each. Then offering to apply 100% of the $129 towards the reapir or new not standard size garage door, and a free wall control and wiring another $57 value. The customers door had a whole lot more  needing repair other then a single extention spring replacement( that requires the  two springs to be done at minum if the other components were in working order and some non existent.) Then she is  implying.

I am rejecting this response because:  You have not made it clear just what your resolution is.  What is the partial refund? $10.00?  My main point was that I asked you to repair the door and you said your company doesn't do that.  It clearly states on your website that you do.  I had to get another repair man to fix where you snapped the cable on the left and to fix the door.  It would have cost me $125.00 less if you would have just fixed the door.  I'm glad you have many customers that you are ethical with, but you certainly were not with me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We will refund the difference of our regular service call of $89.95 and the $129 paid since a service call was scheduled and completed. So it would total $40 we would also please ask that you edit  your review on [redacted] List since now you would be getting a regular hour charge and that is what your main complaint is.

Tell us why here...I am rejecting this response because:  The difference in cost from an emergency call to a normal call was only a small part of my complaint.  My main complaints are that you were trying to take advantage of me.  You would not repair my garage door the way that I had asked, even though your website states that that is a service you provide and includes a 4 year warrantee.  You also tried to upsell me two, much more expensive options.  Then you snapped the other cable which I needed to replace.  You might think that this is not a big deal, however, when you left my home the door was in worse condition than when you arrived.  This and your unethical up selling is all totally unacceptable.

The best we can do is refund the difference between our regular service call of $89.95 from the $129 charge since service was completed and the door was opened and shut totaling over 2.5 hours of our time between driving and your job. We can issue a check for $40.
