I hired Handyman matters to do trim/baseboard work in my house. *** from handy matters performed the work. While installing the trim/baseboard he put a nail in the heating water pipe behind the wall which caused a leak in my home. I didn't realize it until two days after when the water start to gather. I had to turn off main water supply for the home and hire a plumber to fix the leak. I had called the owner, ***, at handy matters and had told about what had happened. He had agreed to pay for what the plumber would charge and told me to move ahead with getting it fixed. *** told me to send him the invoice, which I did. It's been a few days, he is not replying to my calls and emails. I need them to pay for the plumbing costs and fix my wall which is still damaged.
I am unsure why the customer has filed a complaint with you. There was unintentional damage to a pipe in the wall when we installed his new baseboard. When he called me to inform me of the problem, I explained that we would of course cover the repairs. He hired a plumber to come in and make the repair. As I requested, he forwarded me the receipt for the plumber's work. I mailed him a check for the full amount within 2 business days. We also scheduled a return visit for my technician to patch the wall which was completed as scheduled. I have attached copies of the check sent to him as reimbursement for his expenses.
