I am writing this review as a follto the previous review on June 30th Denny, the owner, contacted me after hearing about the previous experience my wife and I had with Rick at the shop Simply put, Denny went out of his way to correct any problems or concerns I had with my prior trip to the shop He and Brian worked for several hours on my car until my air conditioning was fully functional They went above and beyond to not just swap out bad parts but to make sure the system was running optimally I spent several months and a couple thousand dollars at two local BMW dealerships this summer attempting to figure out what was wrong with my a/c with no solution Finally, with Denny's assistance, I was able to get ice cold air from my car I am not exaggerating when I say I almost gave him a hug when the air started blowing cold I would now recommend this business to anyone after personally experiencing how much Denny cares for the reputation of his shop and the respect he showed me given the circumstances at hand
Layland motors was asked to perform a diagnostic on our BMW due to the air conditioning not workingWe were told the cost would be $for that serviceWhen it was complete, we were notified by phone that the diagnostic did not conclusively find any problems with the system, but that it could be a few different thingsWe did not authorize any additional work done to the carWe went in to pick up the car later that afternoon and was handed a bill for $ When I asked what the additional charge was for I was told by Rick, the man at the front desk, that they put a lot of extra work into trying to figure out the problemSpecifically, they updated the programming for the climate control module I then asked him if either myself or my husband authorized that extra work, and he admitted that we had NOT authorized any extra work done to the carHe added that he "thought we wanted the car fixed"Despite the extra work and charges, the car had not been fixedRick then said "I tell you whatYou pay just the $and never come back." No reputable mechanic would perform work without the owner's consentI feel that this business was trying to overcharge hoping we would not noticeThe reaction I received when I questioned the extra charges was incredibly unprofessional as well as very disrespectful I'm sure that their mechanics are very well trained and more than qualified to work on foreign cars, but the business's customer service skills are lacking, to say the least I would caution any potential customers to be wary of their bill and to make sure that Layland Motors is not doing any unauthorized work to your vehicle

Years ago I ran into someone in a parking lot and they told me the only place to fix my Porsche is Layland Motors. That person was right and I have had Layland work on all my cars for over 10 years. The owners and mechanics are honest and transparent in their business practices. Don't get me wrong, we have incidents when things were not completed to my specifications and we always worked out a resolution.
There is a reason why this garage is filled with exotic cars from around the area. It's because the service is honest and fair.
