the technician came out and turned on our A/C, it's a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim unit. after awhile the unit's operation light went from solid to flashing and stopped blowing air. the tech was looking up something on his smart phone and went outside to check the main unit. he opened the top cover and looked inside and saw some old dried geckos on the circuit boards (total of 3). the tech said that the board is fried and they all need to be replaced. no other check of the boards was done, just a visual inspection. no continuity check or trying to reset the unit. just "replace all of your boards" and that was it. he did his paperwork and I paid him. the tech said that they will call me back on the cost of the boards, which they did and it'll be around $1,100 just for the boards. not going to use them again.
