Review: AllCity is a company that makes vague offers and assurances and then does not deliver. I made an agreement over the phone without explicit written information. Both the salesman ([redacted]) and the technician ([redacted]) said we would work something out. What I received was a window unit that works fine except that it leaks when it rains, and a defective portable unit for which I was charged twice for installation (because the hose broke minutes after the technician left). I had to ask repeatedly for a receipt. When I finally got it, it said that the store accepts no returns. When it became clear that the unit was defective (compressor broken), I was told first that the warranty was not valid, and then that it was. I then had to call the company to whom they outsourced warrantiesAcewait 2 weeks for an appointment, stay home all day (a 5 hour window) to wait for them to pick it up. That was nearly three weeks ago. I spent more than $600 for the portable unit for absolutely nothing but trouble.Desired Settlement: I want my money back for the defective unit and I don't want to deal with this company again, not to make a purchase nor a repair nor an installation

Review: Our window-unit air conditioner wasn't working properly and we called this company that we found in the yellow pages. They looked at it and said it needed to be cleaned so they took it back and cleaned it but it has not been working properly ever since. The thermostat has been changing the air conditioner speeds on its own. When we called back, they told us that the person who had originally installed it, didn't do a good job. We've been calling them to come back and fix it ever since June but they have not called us back at all.Desired Settlement: We would like for them to come back and fix it, once and for all or a refund for the service that was provided.
