Dear Mrs [redacted] : and the Revdex.com, My name is [redacted] I am the Owner of All Job’s Construction IncI was contracted in April about the 19th we signed a contract to build a Sqfoot addition to the park model Mrs [redacted] had just purchased days beforeThe contract we both signed stated that the ($1,300.00) down payment would be used to get the plans drawn up by an Architect, and permits to build the new addition Mrand Mrs [redacted] decided that they had already stayed to long in Arizona because of the purchase of the new home and didn’t want to wait the required weeks for plans and the to days required by the county to review the new plans and receive the permitThe [redacted] ’s told me they were going back home out of state and would return in November to resume the work I mentioned that material prices could change or go up, if several months had passed and we resumed in the winter time I submitted for the permit in October, we had the 1-month time frame to submit for the permit as I had already paid for and completed the building plan’sI didn’t want the 6-month time to expire by submitting to early, so I waited to submit, so the county permit would not expire while the [redacted] s were back east I first submitted beginning of October with a time of days to receive permits, After submitting the plan’s, and when I went to the county I to submit the plans examiner pulled up Mrs [redacted] s new property and there was an addition that was build on her park model without any permits, or plans It was built without the knowledge of the Pinal County, This caused unforeseen problems ,and I was sent away with new direction to draw up another set of drawings to depict how and with what the existing addition was built with? I called Mrs [redacted] immediately to explain the new problemI also told her this caused additional work and timeThe charge was ($425.00) and Mrs [redacted] agreed to this verbally as well as in a text messageI submitted the second time including the new plans for the unpermitted addition that was unforeseen for everyone, I was waiting for the answer on the permit and received a very disturbing phone call from Mrs [redacted] My 12-year-old daughter was in the same room with me and could hear her screaming at me, accusing me of not submitting the plans for permit until weeks prior? She had talked to the county a different person than I dealt with the first time when we discovered the unpermitted addition, they had given her the wrong information about the first time I was there because the permit wasn’t submitted into the computer at the first meeting because I needed more information about this illegal addition to get a new permit number and so she call me a liar, Threatened to call the Revdex.com and The chamber of commerce both, said I took her ($1300.00) , I didn’t submit her plans to county when I said I did and it was very stressfulI explained that I had submitted the plans as well as the new plans with a Mr [redacted] and it was in the counties hands, that we should have it any dayPermit was approved on November 16th by Dale [redacted] of Pinal county planning department, (PER 17-PERMIT NUMBER)I had called Mrs [redacted] and informed her of the permit had been approved days after her phone call to me, I told Mrs [redacted] I could come bring the permit to her house and revisit the cost change and the new contract on the projectShe agreed to the Monday after Thanksgiving, and I can start the project the day after our meeting on November 28thI wanted to talk to her about the ($425.00) for the plans and make sure I got a signature on our new agreement, Mrs., [redacted] kept asking me if I was bringing materials on our Monday meeting to start, I said No I would start the day after, I did not feel comfortable about starting until we agreed on the new termsI am not the reason the price increased however, in good faith I paid for the engineering, the extra plans, and the several trips to the countyI completed our written agreement on our contract agreement as well as the verbal agreement, to produce the additional plans to get the permit approvedI just wanted to talk to Mrs [redacted] in person and receive confirmation on her part before we started work, especially after the recent phone call I received, as well as several different aggressive encounters with Mrs [redacted] I am willing to bring the new permit to Mrs [redacted] ’s house, I have fulfilled my agreement to get plans and a permit for their project, it’s unfortunate, I am not building the project however, I did cover my end and have incurred cost for the plans, engineering, permit fees, and additional cost I covered out of pocket to get the plans for Mrs [redacted] s existing addition (non-permitted) additionI have Mrs [redacted] s permit, it is a valid and usable permit and it can be used to start her project with another contractor if she desires to complete her jobI received a call stating that because I would not start on the Monday the 28th however I would meet and start the following dayI was not going do the job? I did see a side of Mrs [redacted] that I felt very uncomfortable with, and didn’t want to go any farther until, at least had a new revised contract and money down to startThis was unacceptable to Mrs [redacted] I cannot give Mrs [redacted] any money back for the down payment made, I have used the funds to produce a set of drawing’s and a building permitI am still owed ($425.00) to pay me in full for the plans and permitsI thank you for the opportunity to explain the outstanding invoice Sincerely, [redacted] (All Jobs Construction Inc.)

Thank you for the reminder, If Mrs [redacted] is willing to pay the additional for the plans and permits, I would be happy to release the documentsMrs [redacted] has never offered the additional money for the unforeseen issues?, she told me I wasn’t getting any more money, after she agreed to pay for it, This is one of the reason’s I wanted to redo the contract, she reneged on our verbal agreementThe county found that the [redacted] s had purchased the property with an existing addition that was never permittedI explained this to Mrs [redacted] up front the day I found out, and told her the cost to do a new planThey decided to come out to Arizona and it was clear that I had not received the permit yet, It normally takes days, however after weeks I received the call from Pinal county that the existing home had an unpermitted additionI never told the [redacted] ’s I had the permit yet? The permit process was delayed because of the existing property had no proof of a permit for past constructionI had explained all of this to the [redacted] ’sI had a very difficult time dealing with Wanda ,I never told her to come out months early and I had told her the actual work would take less than daysI was still ready to build this addition after going through all the hassle of correcting the previous fiasco with her property that had non-permitted work done.(Unforeseen issue this took more time) I volunteered to fix this part of the permit to help the [redacted] s clear things up and help me get the permitI wasn’t responsible for any delay with the permit, and when I had explained to them the extra work I had to complete to get this done ,and the additional cost to do itThey agreed.I only told them that the actual job cost had slightly increased because the work had been postponed by the [redacted] s for months while they went back east to Iowa, the proposal and prices on materials on proposal are only good for days, so it may be like $more to cover drywall and lumber increasesThey agreed. The bottom line is this, I had the permit in my hand and I was ready to start building the project , but because of how volatile Mrs [redacted] was, I wanted to revise the contract so we were both coveredShe was very threatening over the phone several times, and tried to bully me on several occasions, so I didn’t trust our working relationship after she had threatened meMrs [redacted] is the one who canceled this project? I was ready to start construction and would have been done in plenty of time for Christmas, she didn’t want to pay the additional $for the extra work I had done ,and didn’t want to redo the contract to reflect the extra work and material increase, so she cancelled the projectI still have a permit and plans to do her project if she wants to be reasonable and pay me, I am willing to give her the plans, and permits so she can go to another contractorThis was never a situation of me taking advantage of anyoneI have been in business for years ,and never had a complaint, I didn’t get here by taking advantage of good peopleI have completed the work I was paid for, and I am still owed an additional $I don’t understand why the [redacted] ’s feel I should give them money back for work I have completed, they cancelled? I have all sent in the documents to prove this work is completedThank you, Sincerely, [redacted] All Job’s Construction

+1

On the 10th of April, he said he would have his architect draw up plans and that the plans would be done the next FridaySo we paid him $1300, signed the contract, and told him to get the permit over the summer and start work on November 6th which he agreed toAt first he said he would take $from the $we had given him, but later said we would have to pay the $separately which we agreed toLater in the summer he called us to inform us that prices had gone up on materials and labor, so there would be an increase in the total which we agreed toI called him twice before we left Iowa to ensure he could start on the 6th of November, and he said he couldWe would never had come to Arizona months early except for him to get the room done by Christmas I don't think it is right for a responsible agency like the Chamber of Commerce to advertise for a builder that is as irresponsible as he is, especially in an area of older residents such as ourselves for him to take advantage ofBottom line is he admitted he was wrong by not getting the permit on timeHe should have informed us before we left Iowa as we had called him twice to verifyWhen we arrived in Arizona, he still did not have the permitNearly a month later, and a week after he had finally gotten the permit, we agreed to pay the $on the permit and the increases in prices and he still wanted us to take pictures of the contract and start over againAlso he said I agree to meet the Monday after Thanksgiving when in fact I agreed to meet the Monday before Thanksgiving so he could start building the Monday after ThanksgivingManagement in the park can also confirm our dealings with [redacted] because we had to keep them informed as we also had to get a permit from themThe inconvenience along with the stress and the countless sleepless nights I've spent is very inconsiderate for him to put me through at my age
