I am rejecting this response because: I stand by my complaint! It was a truthful statement.  I most certainly did not want it to end this way. I 100% did not get a quality job. I would like to see the before and after pictures as I am unaware that any were taken. I do have pictures of my own.   I have NEVER in my life not paid for a household renovation. I previously started this response and it seemed to have been sent without me finishing it - please disregard any prior replies if any came through - this will be a completed reply.

I have been in...

business of providing the "affordable" kitchen makeover for over 15 years and have never experienced anything the likes of this before - either that's luck or exceptional service.  Since I can supply endless lists, names and numbers of satisfied and happy clients it's obviously exceptional service.  At any given time I have signed contracts with deposits for jobs scheduled anywhere from 6 - 8 weeks into the future.  
This reminds me of people in a restaurant (and I have personally witnessed this) eating their whole meal and then claiming they didn't like it and the owner has no recourse but to allow them to leave without paying - this is those people.
Again - let me point out - my business presents the affordable kitchen update.  I never promised a new kitchen as she claims - how delusional can people be to expect a new $40000 kitchen for $4000.  
We refinished all the cabinet framing, provided all new drawer boxes, all new hinges and all new doors and drawer fronts for $4300.  We completed this job in December 2014 and charged her credit card for the balance owing on the job.  That's when all this started.
Whether we're refinishing all the existing doors and drawer fronts or providing new ones we're refinishing - keeping all the pre-existing cabinet framing.  Most often and certainly in this case the lowest quality of builder grade cabinetry probably 25 yrs old and warped.  Keep in mind this is what people want - the affordable update.  We can make it nice and updated but perfect - never.  Oh by the way I don't have Mexican workers.
Yes after hearing her complaints we removed all the new doors and drawer fronts, brought them back to my professional shop, sanded them and resprayed them.  Before any of that was done I examined them personally and with the exception of one door that needed some repair they were perfect.  We resprayed them all anyway and re-installed them and still she's not happy.
I personally went to see her to see what could be done to amicably resolve this and her son was present.  For as long as I could possibly stay there to listen approx 15 - 20 minutes, he was verbally loud, shouting and abusive to me, cursed at me repeatedly and repeatedly, insulted me both personally and my business, questioning my integrity and my honesty.  I stayed way too long and left there afraid for my life.  Why I didn't call 911 immediately or go straight to the police station is something I'm unable to understand but believe me I'm still considering.  Because of that day and wanting to put this behind me I credited her back over half of her money (credited $2300) just retaining $2000 to cover my costs of the material only - drawer boxes, hinges, doors and drawer fronts.
There is no doubt in my mind that these people just want this updated kitchen for free and I suppose they've done this before to other contractors.  If there is a way (and I'm looking into it) that I could put their name on a warning list to other small contractors like myself I would do it.
I will not subject myself or my good workers to go back into that house to remove these items as she says - of course I again have no doubt that was her son's plan.  She has an updated kitchen (see all the after pictures that are attached) for free - seriously am I to believe she's going to throw that all away.
As far as a result - she has already contacted her credit card company and charging me the remaining $2000.
So I'm going to leave it there - again I have no doubt that she has gotten what she wanted, she has all new doors etc and her money back and she's happy.
If she decides to take this further however I will be bringing charges of my own against her and her son.
