Subject: Complaint ID: [redacted]I am amazed by this response and it confirms to me and to others that at best, avoiding this business would be in your best interest. The ad for the Rover in question claimed it was in good condition. We drove up to see it and accompanied by a female salesperson we took it out for a test drive. I noticed a rattle coming from the engine compartment and was ready to leave when I was told the noise was a minor issue and they would make the needed repairs. I have this in writing as well as on tape. Before I left the business site, my loan had been easily approved (same credit union financed the replacement Rover in 10 minutes so there were no problems with my finances). I had added a vehicle warranty to the contract ($3800) but as with my current Range Rover purchased on the 14th of April, I went through my credit union for both gap insurance and warranty. Total cost for both under $1300 for 48 months.I was not awaiting financing contrary to the claims made.I belong to the credit union involved and was told the loan had been approved in just a few minutes. Getting back to this matter, We were told several times over the course of two weeks that the truck would be ready and each time there was an excuse. I finally told them to send it to Range Rover since I knew it took 3 specialized tools to do the job, none of which they had. The owner who I recorded told me that the "tool" cost $46.00 and was due on this date, then another day and so forth for a week. First of all the tool needed costs well over $100 just for one of the three tools. The other two cost over $900 in combined costs. So the owner lied to me, to my face in fact. Secondly, the owner also claimed they paid the Land Rover Corp for the tool with overnight delivery. And again to my face, told me the delay was caused by Land Rover having to purchase the part from Bosch Corporation. Another lie since the motors in the2010 Range Rover HSE are a 5.0 liter JAGUAR motor, not a BMW motor. Bosch has nothing to do with the Range Rovers made after 2006. But the owner obviously knew that and appears to have hoped I did not. I have owned Rovers for 30 years now so I think I know a few minor things about them.The claims about transparency made by the person below are about as baldface a lie as I have heard of in the last 50 years. The office manager who has been responding to this complaint appears to forget she brought up a range rover repair shop mentioned in her post. She stated they had given them a quote for over $3000 to make repairs on a vehicle and she thought they were crooks. Again I have this recorded. I told this person I had a DEFAULT JUDGMENT against the company she complained about and explained the circumstances to her. It seemed to reinforce her position on that company. She also brought up my injuries from an auto accident but seems to have tried to make the suit filed for those injuries (I was the victim) appear to be some kind of random suit.There were no threats, just got fed up with the BS thrown up by this company and the excuses they made when in fact they outright lied to my face more than once. I have decided to post the recordings on a website for the public to hear so they will know what kind of lies these people tell.I also had to have my credit union cancel the down payment I made to them since they never refunded it themselves. Beware of this company. They also use another company as the alleged seller of the cars in an attempt to remove liability from themselves. I will be posting that information online as well.This company knew I had time constraints when I purchased the Rover yet gave nothing but excuses. In fact they are still trying to sell this Range Rover with the wrong photo (red not white) and I am willing to bet it is still unrepaired. They have another Range Rover in there as well(black) which also needed repairs. Funny how I was able to purchase a newer Range Rover the same weekend they decided they had been caught in too many lies in less than an hour and drive it home that evening. In response to the comment made about the car never having been financed, I have the original loan papers so just another lie by them.  Avoid this company like it has the plague.
