Thank you for forwarding Ms***' additional commentsUnfortunately her assessment of the issue is not correct The fact is, once a third party agency settles and account and it is recalled by the client, all future responsibility lies fully with the client.ACI does not report consumer credit information no the credit reporting bureausAll reporting is the responsibility of the clientACI does not own the accountIt is owned by [redacted] ***As we are a third party contracted company, we cannot "delegate" any responsibility to a clientIf Ms***'s account was assigned to collection agencies after it was closed and reported as settled, that would be an issue with [redacted] and not ACIAs suggested in our initial response, all future questions related to this account should be directed to [redacted] ***ACI is not empowered to do anything further with this accountIt is not in our office at this timeWe apologize if Ms [redacted] believes we are shirking our responsibility, but the reality is that ACI is not at faultThe account was settled, was reported as settled, the account was closed and returned as settledWe have affirmed the settlement on several occasionsIf Ms [redacted] has not contacted [redacted] ***, we suggest she do so immediatelyAt this point, ACI cannot provide a more clear or detailed explanation of the matter and must consider it closed

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However, please note I have emailed ACI directly on numerous occasions without ever receiving a direct response I have spoken with *** *** after receiving ACI's last response, via the Revdex.com, who advised that it is not procedure for the debtor to contact ACI's client to confirm the settlement of an account.

Mr*** has already notified ACI of his concerns via the *** and a verbal complaint, all received this morningWe have placed his account on hold and are seeking additional information from our client that will assist us in clarifying the concerns he has documentedWe will provide a formal

On January 5th, *** supplied us with additional information regarding Ms*** complaintUnfortunately, the Revdex.com site does not allow us to re-open a complaint already responded to so that additional information can be providedWhen our initial response was sent, we asked our client if there was any other way they could research to see if Ms*** had reached out to themOn January 5th, we were advised that a secondary account was locatedWe were also advised that the account was being referred to the *** Fraud investigation unit for further investigation.We received notice later that same day that the account was accepted as fraudWe appreciate and understand Ms*** concerns and hope she can understand that when information is presented to us, we would not have the ability to prove it to the contraryWe did request *** look deeper into their system and based on our request, they were able to identify an erroneous situation.We apologize for her inconvenience and the unintentional information sent with our initial responseWe also request that the Revdex.com modify the response portal to allow business to supply additional information should it become available after the initial response.Should Ms*** have any additional concerns, she may contact me directly at ###-###-####Sincerely, *** *** Director, Corporate Compliance
