[redacted] dropped off his Acer V6-571G-3407MFG, serial number [redacted] , laptop on Monday, December 14th, at 3:pm with the symptoms of a "bad power supply to the computer." [redacted] said he had "ordered a new power cord but still nothing was happening." He also said the power button would blink five times then go offI told him that we would contact him by the end of the following business day with a diagnosis or update [redacted] called, and left a voicemail on Tuesday, December 15th, at 10:am asking if we had made a diagnosisOur diagnosis is end of the next business day following the day the computer is dropped offWe called [redacted] later that day on December 15th, at 5:pm with the diagnosis that the power jack was bad and needed to be replacedOur technician also noted that the computer had been taken apart prior to being brought to our shop as demonstrated by the damaged hinge assemblies and foreign material around the power jack seemingly to support it in place in an attempt to make it work This damage could not be seen from the outside, but apparent once the computer was apart [redacted] was quoted $for the power jack replacement but was told the technician strongly discouraged repair due to the broken hinges, however we could retrieve data from the computer [redacted] declined repairs while on that phone call on December 15th at 5:pm; he said he would just come pick up the computer [redacted] did not come pick the computer up until Thursday, December 17th, [redacted] came with a female, the daughter to whom he said the computer belonged, with him when he picked up the computerThe daughter complained that her computer did not have scratches on the lid before the computer was brought into usAll issues with this computer, including scratches, were noted at time of drop offAt Geek in Pink, we have rubber mats and microfiber cloths that computers are set on during diagnosis and repairsWe have reviewed our security footage and noted that all procedures were followed Thank you, Savannah [redacted]

The response is incorrect in several waysAbsolutely NO scratches were on the cover when I dropped off the laptop, and there was never ANY discussion of scratchesThe hinges are NOT broken and are in good working order.I have the laptop and am will to allow the Revdex.com to determine if the hinges are broken or not. Geek in Pink scratched the top and should pay to replace the cover. I do not want them working on the laptop. They should pay to have Computer Renaissance replace the cover, and my $deposit should be returned
