The tub was bought from [redacted], which is one of our dealers. He had an installer that he used. The gentleman's name is [redacted]. We have been trying to get in touch with him, because he was the one that did all the damage. This is not the only damage that this guy has caused. We had...

another claim that cost us over $3,500.00 that we had to right off of taxes. We had a girl in the office, that was suppose to send this to our insurance company. She didn't send it to them, and then I had personal problems and business problems, that I didn't have the time to fix all the problems that were cause by this former employee of mine. I sent [redacted] an email and it came back to me.I have since sent this to the correct insurance company to file the claim and she should hear from them.

The case is in with [redacted]She is the one handling this. She requested an invoice for the tub, which I emailed and faxed to her and she responded that she received it.[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I will accept this situation as resolved when I hear from the insurance company.  The internal dealings of this company is not my concern.
Regards,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
Thanks very much [redacted]. I look forward to hearing from her.
Regards,
[redacted]

The claim has been sent to my broker The [redacted] Organization and they will be handling it. Sorry for the delay. There has been some personal problems that needed to be taken care of. As I stated [redacted] the installer that [redacted] used on several jobs has messed up 3 jobs so far that I have to pay for. Thanks,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]Dear [redacted],
I have finally been contacted with [redacted] who will NOT tell me WHY my claim against your business is not covered by the policy because it is not MY policy.  If they don't cover this kind of business liability insurance, I don't know what they DO cover, but at this point we are back to square one.  Meanwhile, this whole process has taken way too long with this insurance "wild goose chase."We are still in the hole for $16K+ due to the incompetence of your installers.  Please let me know how you plan to make this right.
Regards,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted], the dealer in California stopped communicating with me the minute I signed the contract. The installer, [redacted] and his two sidekicks claimed to be traveling all over the country. They were not local and there is no reason to believe they were under anyone else's supervision then [redacted], owner of Americas Walk In Tubs.  [redacted] DID send a technical guy to measure the space and check out the electrical capacity.  I assumed he would be doing the installation. We decided to hire an electrician to run the additional needed capacity. I expected this same guy to show up to do the install.  Turns out he didn't really measure correctly and [redacted] had to make adjustments independent of sawing through my hot water line.I have emailed Mr. [redacted] numerous times, including a question about a part that fell off, and he has been unresponsive.  There is no reason I know that my email would bounce other than transient technical issues. In other words, he has ample modes of communication with me.  In any phone conversation we have had on this matter he continually claims he never had such a problem before. Now he's claiming that there was another incident costing him $3500. There is no reason I know that my email would bounce other than transient technical issues. In other words, he has ample modes of communication with me.From the first phone call I made, [redacted], his wife ,answered the phone and lied to me about the name of the person responsible for  taking care of this problem. There has been nothing but evasion, un-businesslike comments, unresponsiveness, and delay after delay. What good is a warranty if I can't even get someone to take responsibility for it? I would be more than happy to hear from his insurance company. However I do not consider this matter to be closed until the financial issue is resolved.Regards,[redacted]

[redacted] I am not giving you excuses. All I am telling you is that we put it in with our insurance company. By the way [redacted] is no longer working with us. He has ripped off several customers, so we don't deal with him. I am truly sorry for the delay that you have had and all the loops you have gone through. We thought that [redacted] was fixing this from the beginning that was what he told us, and then he just dropped this like a hot potato. As you know the problem was with [redacted]'s work.

Review: myself an husband are handicap,we looked for a wheelchair tub, talked to several handicap tub compan, talked to [redacted] who came to our house , in July 12,2013 showed us on a tablet,a wheelchair tub, jets warm air, walls that would look like tile,a cabinet would be added with the matching granite, under my window so I could access to our wall heater, said the tub was American made,(madeinchina)full warranty, and it would be installe within ten days,we gave him a down payment of thousand dollars, he said they would finance the tub but due to us just buying the house and a new car,we had to finance it with our bank,it took several months for them to install it,something about the wrong tub, and it was sent to north Carolina to betested and then was being sent to us, I tried to keep in contact with the guy who sold it to us then was advised he was fired, the boss called us and ask what was written in our contract, several times, so in the fall of 2013 two men and one woman [redacted] girlfriend started ripping out our old shower and removed our wall heater , they connected a regular outlet that shorted out burned up his drill, the took out our 20 amp breaker and replaced it with a 10amp, the wall suppose to been looking tile its cheap backboard, I ask where was the tile , they said they don't do that,I told him we were promised that and granite that matched our sinks, [redacted] said the heater would not be placed back in because you don't put heaters/fiberglass,but he built the cabinet, the they place the tub in with level screws adding 4 inches more height, ( now 91/2 inches, was disappointed because the tub didn't look like what we saw in the tablet in the beginning, they promised it would as soon as they were done, they told me to write a letter stating what was promised and how they were doing there best to take care of what was on the contract, also saying we needed a filter and the would add it to our pump, they left, didn't do filter, walls are cheap, tub blows out cold air, they took off 300forgraniteDesired Settlement: put up the tile walls take off the screws so my husband can slide onto the chair in tub,its its 10 inches highfor him to transfer,(stroke) its to high for me to0 step out I have to grab part of the tub to out, place in warm air for jet that we paid for and they took our heater need it to keep pipes from freezing, noheatinhouse tried to blame our nurse and friends that were adding handicap patio to front porch, andrew lied,[redacted]was yelling at us and hung up we been waiting2mtnth to fx lauren promisd

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: that is a lie, there are many issuse involed,In the first place, we just moved into the house in june of 2013 , we paid a company to inspect the house, prior to us moving in, all heaters, electric etc. was working and up to code, the gentleman that did it said the house was remarkably built well, this home was built in 2008 , we just need a walkin tub for my husband that is paralized and is unable to us his left arm and leg to move from a severe stroke, there was a corner shower built in the bathroom , a beautiful sink with real granite top, wood work was hand done from the trees that surround our land, the showman that told us about the tubs admired how nice our house was and this tub would be a great improvement, these people from day one have been lying to us and everyone and can't keep there story straight, and for our bath suppose to be left as showroom quality, ( sorry not even close) we are tire of the whole thing , ugly damaged walls, childlike work done around the tub cheap walls, this tub does a imbarrassment, its almost a years since we signed the down pament, and for them to install this in the fall? ,I have been trying to get the tub lowered so we can get my husband into it , its too high, for a company that guarantee its work and our satisfation, and the only time I said anything about heat was question by someone what are going to do about food and heat if power outage happens where we live out in the country away from everthing, and I said we have order plenty of back up food and I could cook it on our wood stove if the power went out, our heater never had any problems , I will contact our realitor and she can tell you this house was imaculant and well built , he has copies of the paper work from june first when we moved, in , all [redacted] has told us is pure lies, and adds what ever he want to, he as changed the story about the heater in the bathroom several time that they had stoled it , it was new , we told him the temps were getting down to 20minus and that is from them shorting out the fuse box. and burning up their equipment, if you read all the other comment they have gotten from there old/new pages we printed the copies and sent them it the people he is licence to, and stealing my paper work was down low, they new they did wrong replaced the paperwork with pictures of a walk in tub no wheelchair tub, and we still have the cold air coming out of the jets, the put molding around the tub because its so high, I cant even get into the compartments, they told us if we wanted the water jets to blow out warm water. go buy the piece needed and open up the side of the tub and install one, We are on the road at this minute do to a family emergancy I don't have the pictures on had but the lady that game them their licence has all of them and all the extra money we have spent trying repair their mistakes we just want our money back so we can hire the real professionals, this place is a scam, cheap tubs, and there seems to be a problem with comunication, my husband and I don't trust them, everytime they have call us or we them they are angry with us and have no time so where is my money they scamed us out of, cheap tub made in china, and bad work, everyone that has come in here to see this tub said we were cheated, and the they that you directed me to [redacted] has all the reciepts ,pictures etc

Here is the response that I Received from [redacted] who sold the tub to [redacted]. We never spoke of wall tiles . She was getting frb board fake tile board. --—————— Original message ---————— From: [redacted] Datez03/11/2014 7:43 AM (GMT—07:00) To: [redacted] Cc: [redacted] Subject: Re: [redacted] Revdex.com complaint [redacted], Thank you very much for this information it is going to help us with this woman. In the report she said something about the quality of the wall tiles. Did you tell her she was getting a better quality? Thanks, [redacted] Original Message ————— From: [redacted] To: [redacted].com Sent: Mon, 10 Mar 2014 15:21:24 —0600 Subject: Re: [redacted] Revdex.com complaint hi [redacted] the issue with me and [redacted] was resolved when we/i discounted her for the granite300.00. now in terms of the wall heater..I never wrote a thing on invoice about wall heater. she did claimed while I was there the wall heater did not work and what ever the installers needed to do with it they could. I told her I would leave it up to her and installers. how tub is positioned in bath room height etc.. is not anything we discussed in detail, although I told her wheel chair transfers are sitting up high. she said no worries that is what I need. I highly discouraged her from a wheel chair tub but she insisted - even before I put order into office I called her one more time to confirm wheel chair tub -she said absolutely without question!!!
