Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Please see my response regarding their supposed debunking of my complaint Regards, [redacted] ***

Please refer to our previous correspondence dated 12/16/for a thorough debunking of any advertising claims

SUMMARYCustomer purchased our travel package with entry to numerous activities including a music show.Customer complained that the music show was canceled during his trip and wanted a refund. We obliged and approved the refund for the music show customer claims to have missed. However after receiving
the refund, customer complained again. Now customer demands to be compensated for a host of other activities which actually did take place. That's where we drew the line._________________________________________________DETAILSCustomer purchased our travel package to an event -- the 27th annual Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam Holland. We have no role in organizing the Cannabis Cup event. We are a travel business, and simply include a ticket to this event as part of a travel package. The travel package (as advertised) included: roundtrip airfare to Amsterdam Holland, nights hotel, airport meet & greet, transport from airport to hotel, and ticket to the Cannabis Cup for all five days of the event Customer received all these items. The ticket for the five day event is also known as the "Cannabis Cup Judge's Pass."The Judge's Pass (as advertised) for the five day Cannabis Cup event included: entrance to Cannabis Cup activities, live music shows and parties, the right to cast a vote for the best cannabis products, party bus, coffeeshop crawl, program guide and t-shirt.All of these items were provided.Customer had the freedom of choice as to which activities to participate in. Whether customer took advantage of the provided services or not, they were available nonetheless. However there was a problem...The organizers of the 27th annual Cannabis Cup event - High Times - had last minute licensing issues with the city of Amsterdam. This resulted in a problem on Day #mainly for the vendors, while attendees were inconvenienced by some of the day's activities being rescheduled (however this did not affect customer in any way since customer didn't arrive into the country until Day #3.)Also on Day #there was a scheduling issue with the Melkweg -- the facility used for some of the daily activities during the eventAs a result, customer missed the nightly music show on Day #and wrote an email to us complaining about it.We wrote back to customer indicating that High Times (the event organizer) had rescheduled that night's music show to another location.Evidently no one at the Melkweg facility informed customer of the new location, nor did customer see the change on the website apparently.Regardless, as a goodwill gesture, we sent an email to customer on Monday Decindicating we would provide a refund for the music show customer missed.Just three days after our email to customer stating we'll provide the refund, customer wrote an email (Thursday Dec4) threatening us that he will "DO WHATEVER HE CAN TO TARNISH OUR IMAGE USING ELECTRONIC MEDIA" because he did not yet see the refund in his account.Customer also made accusations against us.The following Monday Dec8, still not seeing a refund on his account, customer filed a complaint with Revdex.com, making accusations against us.Later that same day on Monday, we wrote to customer indicating the Revdex.com complaint was unnecessary because we already initiated a refund (last week) as promised. Bank transactions can take several business days to complete.By the following day, Tuesday Dec9, customer had finally seen the refund on his account and wrote to us.However, customer complained that the refund was not enough and made more threats.CUSTOMER NOW DEMANDED A REFUND FOR ALL DAYS OF THE EVENT!CUSTOMER DIDN'T EVEN ARRIVE INTO THE COUNTRY UNTIL DAY #OF THE EVENT!Customer complained to us about missing the music show on Day #4. We provided customer a refund for that. And now customer wants more.We provided customer a refund FOR THE ENTIRE DAY, even though customer only missed out partially on Day #activity -- the music show (a show which actually did take place, but customer claims to not have known the show was re-located.) Other event activities took place on Day #4, such as the coffeeshop crawl. Yet we gave customer a full day's refund. So for missing the music show on Day #because it was re-located (and despite the fact that customer participated in numerous activities of the event that we witnessed), customer seeks to be refunded for ALL FIVE DAYS OF THE EVENT, AS THOUGH THE ENTIRE EVENT NEVER TOOK PLACE AT ALL! Other than Day #and Day #- of which customer was only affected by Day #- the Cannabis Cup event ran fairly normally just like it had in previous years, as far as attendees were concernedWe have been offering this annual Cannabis Cup trip for many years now, and this is the first complaint ever to be filed for this trip.On the contrary, we have received numerous positive testimonials for our Cannabis Cup trip (please refer to our website). We have built a good reputation in our years of business operation, and we refuse to succumb to threats to damage our reputation.__________________________________________________CONTRACTIt is worth noting that customer signed a contract for this trip (Registration form) which states the following:REFUNDS ARE NOT GRANTED FOR ANY UNUSED PORTION OF THE TRAVEL PACKAGE.AMSTERDAM TRIPS LLC SHALL PROVIDE THE TRIP PARTICIPANT WITH THE SERVICES AS DESCRIBED HERE, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT SUCH SERVICES CANNOT BE SUPPLIED DUE TO DELAYS, OVERBOOKING, CANCELLATIONS, OR OTHER CAUSES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF AMSTERDAM TRIPS LLC. AMSTERDAM TRIPS LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER PROGRAM ITEMS OR MODIFY ITINERARIES AT ANY TIME AND WITHOUT NOTICE.Despite this, as a gesture of goodwill, we went above and beyond our stated responsibilities and gave customer a refund not just for the rescheduled music show he missed, but for the entire day's activities. We not only followed the "letter of the law" in the contract, but we also tried to follow the "spirit of the law" by providing a refund for customer's inconvenience in missing a music show.A copy of the Registration form signed by customer is available upon request.__________________________________________________COMPLAINTCustomer has made the following claims in this complaint:We provided customer a service that was not provided as advertisedWe sold a package that we could not provideWe offered a refund and then backed out.I will now reply to each of these three claimsWE PROVIDED CUSTOMER A SERVICE THAT WAS NOT PROVIDED AS ADVERTISED.This is a claim by customer. Following is a list of the advertised items in our travel package and whether the item was provided or not:- Airfare (provided)- nights hotel (provided)- Meet & greet at airport (provided)- Airport to hotel transport (provided)- Event ticket (provided)Event ticket (aka Cannabis Cup Judge's Pass) offered the following activities:- Party bus to expo (provided)- Coffeeshop crawl (provided)- Voting privileges (provided)- Program guide and t-shirt (provided)- Entrance to Cup events, live music shows, parties (provided)Cannabis Cup related activities took place daily in the form of High Times organized seminars and parties, or individual coffeeshop organized events and parties. Music shows took place daily. Coffeeshop crawl and party bus ran normally.Upon arrival, our tour guide personally escorted customer from airport to hotel, and briefed customer on Cannabis Cup related information, such as the pickup point for the party bus being right across the street from customer's hotel.During our tour of the Red Light District that customer attended later that same day, customer visited several of the coffeeshops participating in the Cannabis Cup. Visiting coffeeshops is a major part of the Cannabis Cup activity. Many coffeeshops prepared special offerings to folks possessing a Judge's Pass.At the start of the Red Light District tour, customer commented that he had a 'great time' so far, using the trams to get around the city thanks to the advice given by our tour guide earlier.Following the tour of the Red Light District, our tour guide escorted customer to the Melkweg facility where many Cannabis Cup activities took place, including a music show that night.Besides having attended these particular Cannabis Cup activities, the other advertised activities were also provided. Whether or not customer attended the other advertised activities, they were provided and available nonethelessWE SOLD A PACKAGE THAT WE COULD NOT PROVIDE.This is another claim by customer, and quite preposterous at that. Why customer claims we "could not provide" the package is as curious as it is absurd. We not only "could" provide the package, but we "did" provide the package. As advertised, and as explained thoroughly above. And the package was provided to a good number of other clients.Interestingly, despite all the so-called problems claimed by customer, none of our other clients complained about the way this Cannabis Cup took place. In fact, we already received one very positive written testimonial from a client who went on this tripWE OFFERED A REFUND AND THEN BACKED OUT.Again a complete falsehood by customer. We not only offered a refund, but we provided it as originally promised. If customer had not been impatient (threatening us after only three days of waiting for refund), customer would have seen the refund in his account in a few business days as is typical for such bank transactions.__________________________________________________CONCLUSIONCustome... was provided everything as advertised in the travel package. It was customer's choice whether or not to attend the various activities. Regardless, they were available.Customer appears to be trying to profit from the aforementioned scheduling issues at the Cannabis Cup, seeking a full refund for the entire event even though we witnessed him attending its activities

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This company is lying.  They did not provide what they advertised.  They advertised that they would provide a party bus.  There was not one available at any time.  They advertised a party van.  There was never one available.  When I asked their employee about the van and bus, he responded, " I have no idea, you have to ask someone who knows more than me."  They advertised available concerts.  I was turned away when I tried to attend one even with the proper paperwork.  At that point why would I go back the next night to get turned away again?  To put it simply, I was ripped off.  When my wife and I first arrived, we were told by an Amsterdam trips employee that the mayor of Amsterdam had told the expo organizers that if the expo proceeded, people would be arrested.  When I asked more questions to the Amsterdam trips employee, he told me that all bets are off and I proceed at my own risk of being arrested.  I complained to the company.  They responded saying that it was a big problem this year and one of their employees was attacked and assalted by an angry customer.  I asked for a refund.  They had me pay for the total 5 days even tho they knew that we would only be there 3 days.  And of those 3 days, we were turned away and based on that, were not sure it was safe to attend.  They said they would refund.  I asked them politely to let me know when the refund of the fees had taken place.  This was never done.  So I filed a complaint.  Then, slapped me in the face and only funded me 100 dollars of the 500 we spent.  What a joke.  They backed out.  They maintain that they cannot rely on the expo organization as they are only a travel planner.  Please check their web site to see that that advertise all these activities in their trip!  People need to know that this company is only out to make money and not provide a service.  I do not mind paying for a service, but it was not provided to me; however I paid them for the service, not anyone else. The only service they provided was that of the motel reservations, the airport pickup, the flight cost.  I was not asking for a refund of any of those fees, only the ones I was not provided.

Review: Amsterdam Trips advertised a service that was not provided to me as advertised. They offered me a refund as they knew about the problem and then backed out. I was sold a package that they could not provide.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to refund a portion of the package price that they could not provide as advertised.
