[redacted] to determine how she pianned to pay for her education. In Speaking with [redacted] made the decision to Complete the [redacted] and apply for student loans and grants. In order to complete the [redacted], [redacted] (as with all students) was required to physically type the answers into the [redacted] application, on the keyboard.When [redacted] came back to the Financial Aid office for Award Year Two packaging on May 5, 2017, [redacted] asked the complainant whether she had yet filed taxes, as she had previously answered that she had not during Award Year One packaging, in September of 2016. [redacted] stated that she had, in fact, filed taxes previously. Ms. Zia advised [redacted] that she would need to submit Corrections to her [redacted] application and that her reported income may affect her eligibility to receive grants. [redacted] advised the complainant to go home and retrieve her taxes so that the [redacted] could be corrected. [redacted] complied and the corrected [redacted] was subsequently submitted online on May 5". 2017. [redacted] advised [redacted] that an updated [redacted] report, which documents a student's eligibility for aid, would be available early the following week and that she "should not panic" and "just be patient" until the report comes back.On Monday, May 8, 2017, [redacted] called [redacted] to let her know the good news- that despite having updated her [redacted] to reflect the Corrected income information, she was still eligible for the same amount of grant money that she had thought she was eligible for previously. In other words, nothing had changed with regard to her eligibility for grant money.The complaint was issued on May 5, 2017 - the same day that the complainant initially met with [redacted]. The resolution to the complaint came on May 8, 2017; it is always our goal as an institution of higher learning, to help our students achieve to their highest potential. [redacted] is in the process of Completing her externship, and we wish nothing but the best for her.
