Anytime Fitness of Bloomington

I am rejecting this response because: I should not have to pay to terminate someone else's membership, nor should I have to pay another monththis bank account information is MINE why am I being charged for someone else's mistake? please refund me for at least the last months that this problem had been going on there is no reason I should pay to terminate someone else's account, for a service I didn't sign for our approve

[redacted] is under a legal 18 month discounted gym membership contract which obligates him to an 18 month installment agreement up to April 30 of 2017.  We have attempted to contact [redacted] several times on behalf of  [redacted]'s issue and he has not responded. Per [redacted]'s claim that her financial information is being used illegally by Brennan, we have asked [redacted] to file a police report regarding the alleged and illegal use of her bank account by [redacted]. A police report would prove to us that an illegal action has taken place.  As of today her claim is essentially alleged and not legally proven because no police report or claim has been filed or presented to us by any Police department. Therefore, our hands are essentially tied as no proof has been presented that this contract is illegal.  [redacted] has advised us that [redacted] and [redacted] were roommates at one time.  Without a police report indicating a crime has taken place, it is assumed by Anytime Fitness corporate and ABC Financial that [redacted] and [redacted] at one time had agreed to approve this transaction. Nevertheless, even though cancelling this contract is against company policy without legal proof that an illegal act has taken place, we will honor [redacted]'s request to terminate Brennan's contractual membership early.  We will cancel [redacted] membership contract per our cancellation policy.  The cancellation policy will incur one last payment plus an early $50 cancellation fee to release the contract.  Once this gets processed within the next 72 hours, [redacted] gym membership and his contract will be terminated and thus will no longer be obligated to pay through the term ending 4/30/17.

[redacted] signed up at the same time as [redacted] at the Shakopee Anytime Fitness club on 9-3-2015 for an 18 month discounted committed term to end on 3-3-2017.  She did not sign up here at the Bloomington location.  [redacted] transferred to our location sometime this...

past summer due to him using our club more than the Shakopee location.  This is standard protocol that corporate will transfer members when they use another AF club more than their primary club where they signed up at. This matter came to our attention a few weeks ago when [redacted] called our office.  We told her that [redacted] was under contract and must fulfill his term before he can cancel. Financial information where the funds are drawn from can be changed at anytime.  We attempted to contact [redacted] on behalf of [redacted] but could not reach him.  She is claiming that Brennan used her financial information illegally to sign up.  However, they both signed up on the same day which seems odd that this would be the case.  Nevertheless, if what [redacted] claims is true... then [redacted] has committed a felony crime and we advised [redacted] to file a police report against [redacted].  Once we received the report proving that this was indeed an unauthorized transaction, we would be happy to begin the cancellation process... which is a 1 month notice to cancel and an $50 early cancellation fee.  We also performed some research on our end and confirmed that after contacting the Shakopee Anytime Fitness club and ABC Financial (Anytime Fitness billing company) it was learned that both [redacted] and [redacted] signed up at the same time under separate 18 month term contracts.  The billing information originally used was the account number ending in 6788. We cannot prove either way whether [redacted] performed this transaction illegally or not.  That is why we MUST have a filed police report indicating that a crime took place so we can dissolve the contract that was originally signed by Brennan.  One also needs to ask... why has this only now been discovered when they signed up back on 9-3-15.  Over 1 year has past and [redacted] is now claiming [redacted] illegally used her financial information to obtain a membership.  There is a signed contract indicating otherwise.  Again, we are happy to assist [redacted] with this issue but she must first perform her due diligence and file a police report indicating that a crime has taken place so we can dissolve the 18 month contract.
