On complaint #[redacted]. We received a check for $395 from Arborcare. This matter has been satisfied. Thanks[redacted]
Complaint[redacted] owner was to take down 5 trees only removed 4 was paid in full cash, many phone calls &2 wks later still no return call and tree still there VA [redacted]- owner of Arbor Care Tree Service was in Va drumming up business and gave us a flyer Aug,23 2014. He came out promptly to give an estimate on the 5 trees we wanted cut down and cut up. He even spoke with our neighbor about dropping parts of one tree in there yard. We negotiated that the total for the work would be $1,000. We had to get permission from our association so I told him that I would call and let him know as soon as we had approval. The end of September - early October 2014, I called and gave him the go ahead to cut the trees down. He set a date as to when he would be there to cut them down, October 8th, 2014. He did show with his crew and we had written him a check in his company name for the total. He stated he needed it written in his name since he didn't have a business account set up in VA yet. So another was written in his name but our bank has one central location in TX and no branches([redacted]). So he had no way to cash it. We ended up writting a check to my mother in-law for her to cash at her local branch so we could pay him. So he was paid in full $1,000 in cash. They took down 4 trees in the back of our property. We had left for work so we were susprised to see the large tree that is closest to the house and hanging over our garage was still there. We called and left a message a day or 2 later inquiring as to when he'd return to remove that tree since he hadn't shown back up or called us to inform us on his plan. Once we got in touch he said he needed to order a larger/heavier duty rope for that tree. He said it should arrive in a couple of days. We called and called and finally got in touch with him on Oct.14 he actually returned my call. He said that he had gotten the rope in and that his truck broke down. But he decided he didn't need his truck since we were keeping the wood so he didn't have to haul anything away. He was going to borrow a friends car and come on Wed Oct,15th. He appoligized for not geting back with us sooner and he didn't want us to think that he had skipped out on us! I told him that we were kinda getting that feeling.Wed the 15th came and we did have a big storm here so it was understandible that he didn't show. Then on thurs the 16th he didn't show or call the same on friday so we called and left several messages as to when he'd return and that we had a timeline we needed it done by. So i've called all 3 of his numbers everyday several times a day since 10/17/14 and haven't recieved a call back at all. I also sent an email to the address that was on his flyer as well as gave him notice that I was going to contact the Revdex.com about the situation. So a full 2 weeks after the inital cutting we still have a very large and dangerous tree close to our house and he has our money. I told him in one of my messages that if the job was too big for him that was fine he just needed to let me know and give me $600.00 back so I can have someone else take care of it for me. I still haven't herd from him and he has now turned off his phones, they all go straight to voice mail. Desired SettlementAt this point I don't feel he is reliable or trustworthy enough to have him finish the job. I would like $600.00 back. He can keep $400.00 for the work he did complete.
Review: [redacted] ruined several cement pieces of my pathway. He promised to come to fix them but he never came. I have made more than seven phone calls to him about this matter. I have spoken to him repeatedly but he did nothing to remedy the cement.Desired Settlement: I would like him to come to my house and fix the cement pathway the way it was before his machine destroyed it. I got an estimate for new sections for $950.00. If he came to repair it the way he said he would, I would be happy. It has to be repaired or after the winter it would be irreparable and would crumble.
