Review: I left my pioneer laser disc player for repair on 09/**/11 estimated time for repair 09/**/11. every time I call I am told they are still looking for the parts. I went at repair store three months later,they still looking for the parts six months later he sent my player out for repair ,one year after still no answer.I call the shop every three month they said they still looking for parts on 10/**/2013 I call the shop and told them I am bringing the police to collect my laser disc player then they told me on 11/**/2013 to come and collect my player I deposit $50.00 dollars on 09/**/11 .when I ask for my deposit back they said they were unable to do that.

Response:

We have been an Authorized representative for Pioneer products for decades, we are trained and experienced to service this and other pioneer products, audio and video. This particular unit has been discontinued for several years.

After installing several parts and a main printed circuit board to no avail, we called a former technician/employee for assistance. His efforts also were unsuccessful. Granted this all did take time.

As the local representative we feel responsible to exhaust every effort to see the repair thru. When repairs cannot be completed thru no fault we deduct a minimal fee, which really doesn't cover efforts made, from the deposit. Most times there is a small refund to the customer after that fee is deducted ([redacted] curtly refused his). This policy is explained when the unit is left for repair with the deposit and all customer sign the agreement. There were attempts made to contact [redacted] during the repair proceedings, but he was unavailable. We regret not being able to repair this unit.as it was a high caliber model.
