Review: Sales representative told me over the phone specific items covered under the policy, 3 months later find out not covered.

Called [redacted] with Auto Coverage Specialist looking for a Warranty for my 05' car. We discussed different packages off and on over a 5 week period give or take. After asking specific questions that were answered to my liking I made the commitment to buy the warranty. Everything was done over the phone and no paper work was signed nor delivered prior to my first payment. Fast forward 3 months later I come back from vacation to find my car engine light on. The symptoms were easy to determine the issue so knowing what needed to be fixed I called the claims office as directed to get the ball rolling on the claim. During that phone call I was told that the part needing to be fixed was not covered by the warranty. From that point I decided to inquire about the other items I had discussed over the phone (inclusions/exclusions) It was brought to my attention that a lot of the items discussed prior to signing up were indeed not included in the warranty coverage though was told they were. I tried calling [redacted] at Auto coverage specialist to seek reimbursement and cancellation of my warranty due to false representation of items covered by [redacted] as instructed by the "claims department". Whenever I called I would get instant voice mail, left messages but never were returned. I tried calling the main office number and tried every extension possible and it continue to go straight to voice mail. Finding this odd I once again called Marathons number which is the claims department, every time I called them they told me they couldn't do anything about it and to continue to call the number they had given to me prior. I had at least 3-4 associates tell me the same thing each and every day I called. I eventually called the number on the Revdex.com website that was representing the company's number, Of course again this was the claims department just a different number that linked to them. After asking for a manager and letting him know the frustration I was having and after I informed him that I tried to even email [redacted] but got back a Failure to Deliver notice due to the email no longer being valid. He put me on hold and then came back to inform me that the Auto Coverage Specialist sales office was no longer selling warranties for Marathon and that he would do me a "favor" by cancelling the warranty. I've been contacting Marathon for 3-4 days straight and it took the 4th day after 5 phone calls that day to 3 different numbers for them to inform me on this. I told him I wanted a full refund due to false advertisement of this sales rep and he proceeded to tell me that the refund would have to come from that sales office the same sales office no longer in business. To add to that horror he proceeded to warn me that I should go to my bank pay the fee to get a "stop payment" for the warranty amount that is automatically withdrawn from my bank. He tells me this due to the fact that the sales company "Auto Coverage Specialist" are in fact the company withdrawing the money from my account since they are the active 3rd party between marathon and I. So I asked him how could a company that no longer exits withdraw money for a warranty policy that has been canceled and no longer exist. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing else he could do. I have never used any of the services even ones supposedly provided and seek a full reinbersment.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a complete refund of $489.00 broken down that is the initial fee to sign up of $295.00 which was withdrawn from my account on 10/**/2013, in addition to two monthly payments of $97.00 which was withdrawn from my account on 11/**/2013 & 12/**/2013.

*Sincerely,

Review: I had purchased warranty coverage from this company back on Nov. [redacted] for my Dodge. Written in my contract was that I had a 30-day period to decline the coverage and get a full refund back. After cancelling four days later, a woman named Ally Strong said that I would be refunded my $100.00 back to my card and it would take 10-15 days. I still have not received anything and Ms. Strong no longer responds to my emails or calls. I talked to the salesman who sold me the contract, [redacted] and he said he would refer this matter to his manager and I have seen nothing yet. They have broken their contract and I have all this in writing since they did send me a copy of my contract by mail and I have all the emails to back up my claim and the company's responses.Desired Settlement: I want my refund of $100.00 and plus the $39.95 this caused for issues having to deal with this and having to pay to have this company blocked from going into my account in the future.

Review: I made a partial deposit for extended warranty to Auto Coverage Specialist in Aug 2013 and subsequently requested a refund within the same week. I spoke with [redacted] who tried several times to get me to keep the coverage but I informed him it was too costly and I wanted my refund. I called several times after and sent several email but could not get in touch with any and my email went unanswered. I finally got in touch with a lady name [redacted] who said she would sent through my request for a refund of the amount deposited. She also sent an email on Sept * indicating that the refund will be sent with 2-4 weeks. That never came happened. Again I called and emailed several times without response. When I finally got a response, [redacted] stated that it was issued on Oct * to my account. I checked my account for a million time but saw not debit of the amount. So I called my bank but after informing the representative of the situation, I was found out that no attempt was made to send through the funds. He then filed a dispute. It is exhausting, frustrating, and upsetting that this company does not want to refund my money. It’s a shame; they are thieves and liars. They are frauds with very bad customer service and numbers that lead to no one. Does not seem like a legitimate business.Desired Settlement: My money back

Good day,

Review: I was sold an extended warranty vehicle service contract for my Acura MDX -for ~$2800. After receiving notice from the Administration company that the application was rejected, I have tried repeatedly to reach Auto Coverage Specialist to obtain a refund. I have left multiple messages and tried calling over 20 times. The websites appears to be taken down and there is no way to reach these people. I fear that this is a scam, a fraud an I'm elisting the help of the Revdex.com to help clarify what is going on.Desired Settlement: The contract I agreed to with Auto Coverage Specialists was for $2728.00. I'd like a full refund on this amount.

Review: I officially cancelled my policy with this organization in the timeframe stipulated within my contract. I spoke with the sales consultant and he requested an email termination letter and then a refund would be made. After speaking with his [redacted] twice I to this date have not received my refund of $994.33.Desired Settlement: I want my refund as promised by this organization

Review: Failure to honor contract and make repairs On saturday Sept [redacted] My BMW which is covered by Marathon and in full effect broke down Since it was a saturday and holiday weekend the operator told me no was in claims and to call back on tuesday I asked what do I do with the car I was told to take it to a dealer. I had the auto towed and the service manager waited for it to arrive at 5:pm. I rented a car on Sept [redacted] and called claims on Sept [redacted] The dealer did his inspection and spoke to [redacted] at Marathon with the report. First [redacted] stated that the hourly rate at $120hr was above the national average and that the parts quoted were way to exspenive We all know that dealership charge alot for parts and sevice. After the dealer told me what Marathon had said I called [redacted] and he told me the same thing, then said he woyld send an adjuster After the adjuster visited the auto, [redacted] called me to say that first parts and labor were too much Then he said all were PRE Existing Conditions This auto was checked each time it had been service by BMW The only problem I had was one of the O2 sensors gone bad He told me the fan and all gaskets are not covered when in deed if they are part of the repair they are covered. I tild [redacted] I would by the parts and I did at $802.00 compared to dealer at $3200. I then went and haggleed about labor rate and got the dealer down to $91hr All [redacted] sent was an [redacted] rebuilt altenator Not paying for any labor and not paying for any other parts and labor..The dealers quote total was $6,275.00 I got all my own parts and the dealers labor down to $3,802.03 plus the rental and they still wont honor the cost after I did all the leg work All Marathon keeps saying is too exspensive and pre existing condition After looking them up It seems all the complaints are the same Is that all Marathon tells the policy holder..So I paid for a policy which covers nothing and $3,802.03 plus a 4 week and 2 day rental auto $655 to get my auto from the dealer which has been ready for 4 days now....I was sold and it wont happen again Deff not a top rated company as they said they are. [redacted] ###-###-####Desired Settlement: I want them to honor what I was told by [redacted] and [redacted] from Auto Coverage Specialist in NY who told me I am covered not to worry...That is why I bought this policy to be covered in case of emergency All warranty companies tell the same story,,PRE EXSITING CONDTIONS... l would like to keep the policy since I do keep up with all maintnece on all our cars at the dealerships have never had a problem with any warranty companies we have polices with.
