I contracted Backyard Dreamscapes to build a deck on my above ground poolThe owner came out and gave us ideas on what would be the most efficient use of space and designed a deck to fit our needsThe owner was on site every day and the deck was completed in daysOnce the deck was completed, we did a walk through with the owner to make sure we were satisfied with the deck, and if we had any questionsThe final result is a wonderful deckWe are very pleased with the work done, the work ethic of the owner, and the timely manner in which the job was completedI would definitely recommend this company

Mr *** is partially correct, however there have been no "stalls" in this situationThe situation started off less that ideally when we were asked to hold one of the two checks written for the pool for a weekAt that time the customer was informed we wouldn't order the pool until both
checks had clearedIt took almost weeks and a few phone calls (all but one were not returned) to ensure the funds were available on the 2nd checkOnce the check cleared, the pool was orderedAt the onset, the customer was informed that once the pool order was made the lead time was approximately weeks, however 2-weeks after the order was placed, Backyard Dreamscapes was informed that the liner for this pool was on back orderI immediately contacted the customer to adviseAlthough I had no firm date as to when the pool would ship, I told them that when I did have a date I would once again contact them, and did so.At that point I was informed by Mr*** that he would no longer accept delivery of the poolHe told me that he was upset because the summer was almost over and that he would not be in town to install the poolIn order to assuage the situation, at that point I offered to assist Mr*** with the installationHe agreedShortly after this, a member of my immediate family was involved in a serious auto accident, and I went to assist themI don't want to go into great detail regarding this except to say there was a fatalityI contacted Mr ***, told him of the situation, and told him I would have an employee at least deliver the poolThe employee attempted to do so, but was unable to receive the pool because they required my signature to release itAs I was out of town and dealing with a family tragedy, this was not possibleAgain, I contacted Mr*** and advised him, and told him that I would take care of this when I returnedAt this point Mr *** informed me he would not be in town for the entire month of August, and would contact me upon his returnAfter my return, and since I had not yet heard from Mr ***, I proceeded to complete jobs that had been incompleted and had been contracted prior to the arrival of Mr***'s poolAfter Mr *** contacted me, I set up a deliveryHe informed me he wouldn't be home until later in the afternoonWe proceeded to go to another job, and had planned to deliver later that day. When it became evident we were not going to complete the job we were on in time to make the delivery, I attempted to contact Mr***, but got no response, so I contacted Mr***'s wife and advised her She said no problem.Later that same day I received a text message from Mr*** basically saying he was again not going to accept delivery and that he wanted a refund.At this point I agreed, asked him to send an email stating his request and that I would get him a refundI informed him that since the pool was a special order, we would have to sell the pool prior to refunding himI also informed him that we had a contract pending that would take care of this issue.I am very sorry this entire situation occurred, the majority of it due to circumstances beyond our control, and we are working diligently to resolve this to Mr***'s satisfaction
