I started my bathroom remodel with Bath Panet on 07/when we signed and paid a deposit on the work agrrement which included: -Remove/haul away sinks, vanities, toilet, and mirror (I got rid of the sinks & vanity tops myself) -Install tub liner and enclosure, and flooring (never received the warranty info on flooring which we found out is is Manzanita by Carpetone -The oil brushed bronze drain was not available when the work was done (09/29-09/and it took over weeks to get someone up to install in finally When it was installed on 10/the individual caulked the fitting instead of using plumbers putty and teflon pipe tape Result was water all over my basement floor I had to bring in a plumber friend to fix and clean up this mess This could have been a catastrophe if my Basement was finished! -The flooring was cut poorly around the back of the tub cutout and caulking needed to be re-done to cover the cosmetic flaws in the cut job -The installer did take the toilet with him on the 30th but left the mirror which was finally hauled away on 10/ I am not at all pleased with this organization and their followup

First the salesman told us they only have certain people trained to install Bath Planet showers Yet we have had numerous different people here trying to correct problems
We had this company install a Bath Planet shower in *** Ever since they installed the shower we have had all kinds of problems First the shower leaked onto our kitchen sealing When the workers came to fix the leak, they said, "We have never had one leak before" They carried in a new gasket, worked on the shower and said it was a defective gasket, but never left with an old gasket I believe they put two gaskets in the drain This will be discussed later They had to paint our entire celling on the first floor after the leak Next the handle on the shower door pulled off They had cross-threaded the button holding it on, so it needed to be replaced It took them two more trips to get the correct size bar The first one ordered was too short The left door also was very hard to move They said that this was because they tightened the rollers so it would roll hard My wife broke her fingernails opening it So I took the door off to loosen the rollers Well, the rollers were free rolling and were NOT the problem So they came back again The doors were checked with a two-foot level and they could not find any problems I went and got my four-foot level and when checked with it, the doorframe was out of plumb and twisted The frame was straightened and caulked again Now the door worked fine, but the caulk they used was clear and under it was very large black line used originally to install the frame I had to remove all their caulk and redo the caulking myself
Next the floor started squeaking while showering They did not want to fix it at first and said it was normal The interesting part is the installers stated "I bet that old shower squeaked a lot, gut this one's floor sits right on the floor and will not squeak" Finally after several calls and visits, they agreed to come out and maybe foam the floor I removed the wood trim and cut an opening in the drywall to gain access When their worker came, we looked into the area under the shower floor There was already foam there and I questioned if foam would help He said it should and went to *** to get some foam He came back and foamed under the floor, but it still squeaks loudly when we shower I had to repair the drywall and repaint the wallI believe the problem is in the drain area and most likely the two gaskets rubbing together when the drainpipe moves They had to remove a lot of the sub-floor to get the drain installed *** we contacted Bath Planet, they contacted this company and they refuse to fix it Complaints with the *** resulted in more refusals They said I should not be worried about a leak years from now, but the shower has a lifetime warranty So if this movement causes a leak later on, who is going to fix it?
Finally the Building and Codes department in *** said they needed a permit to do this work (which they never had) and they are not licensed to do work in ***
I will never do any business with this company again They did not treat us very well at all They made you feel like we were a pain and wanted to get us out of their life I feel when a person spends this amount of money for something; they should be very willing and cooperative in fixing problems They did not ever do this

Remodel about a month ago and completly satisfiedBasically new tub and safety upgradeWill gladly allow myself to be a reference

I started my bathroom remodel with Bath Panet on 07/31 when we signed and paid a deposit on the work agrrement which included:
-Remove/haul away sinks, vanities, toilet, and mirror (I got rid of the sinks & vanity tops myself)
-Install tub liner and enclosure, and flooring (never received the warranty info on flooring which we found out is is Manzanita by Carpetone.
-The oil brushed bronze drain was not available when the work was done (09/29-09/30 and it took over 2 weeks to get someone up to install in finally. When it was installed on 10/17 the individual caulked the fitting instead of using plumbers putty and teflon pipe tape. Result was water all over my basement floor. I had to bring in a plumber friend to fix and clean up this mess. This could have been a catastrophe if my Basement was finished!
-The flooring was cut poorly around the back of the tub cutout and caulking needed to be re-done to cover the cosmetic flaws in the cut job.
-The installer did take the toilet with him on the 30th but left the mirror which was finally hauled away on 10/28.

I am not at all pleased with this organization and their followup.

We are in receipt of the complaint from Mr. [redacted].  We do not believe we are required to give Mr. [redacted] a refund, First of all Mr. [redacted] was very verbally abusive to our sales rep....

Mr. [redacted] entered into a contract for us to do some bath remodeling at his residence. The contract was dated January 14-2016. Per our contract and state statues Mr. [redacted] has a 3 day right of recession  because we entered into this agreement at his home. The bath remodel was intended to aide his wife who was in ill health and would be coming home from being treated. Mr. [redacted]s wife has passed away before she could return to their home. We called Mr. [redacted] to schedule his install and he stated, “ I don’t want it anymore” and that was approximately February 25th or there about, about 30 days past his 3 day right of recession. So from the day after his 3 day right to rescind, we special ordered all his product. A few thousand dollars worth of product. We are still in possession of the product, and are more then willing to do the install and fulfill the contract as agreed. Because Mr. [redacted] entered into the contract all of his product is special ordered and cannot be returned. We are stuck with this product. We are under the belief that Mr. [redacted] entered into a legal and binding contract. And at this point there is no refund what so ever.We are more than willing to fulfill our contract as agreed and do not feel we should eat thousands of dollars worth of product just because his situation has changed. Mr [redacted] wants a Breakdown of our costs and labor. We cannot provide this , we bid a job based on a very good assumption of what our products cost and a general cost of labor it may take longer than we anticipate we may need new or more materials to complete the job, it is unforeseen. Also if there are additional cost that we incur on his job we do not charge the customer for any additional expenses, we eat them. Since Mr. [redacted] owns this product we would be willing to take this product to his house for delivery, if he wants it installed we will fulfill our contract, There are Modifications that Mr. [redacted] was to complete prior to us getting that  he agreed to, Those must be completed before we can complete our install.

We hired Bath Planet after we saw them at the Novi, MI. home show.
We thought that we hired a local company out of Canton. They said that office was to busy so they sent them from Toledo Ohio. We were told the job would take two days. The first day Thursday April 14th. they were suppose to start at 9:00 they called and said they were running late and showed up between 12:30 and 1:00. There was two guys and they worked until 6:30. They explained that only one of them would be there on Friday to finish the job and that he would be there at 9:00 a.m. My girlfriend took the day off work so he could finish. At 8:40 a.m. he called her and said that he had to wait for his payroll check and he had to stop and buy a saw. He showed up at 3:00 p.m. and left at 5:30 saying he would be back on Saturday around 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. He texted me at 7:45 a.m. saying he would be here at 9:30. At 9:45 he called me to ask where the nearest Home Depot to our home was. He showed up at 11:00. He left at 4:00 saying he would be back on Sunday after church. My girlfriend stayed home so he could finish. He showed up around 10:30 and he decided it would be okay to cut his trim on our new floor. At around 2:00 he asked my girlfriend to look at his work. The first thing she noticed was there was no molding on the first panel they had put up on Thursday. and it was not cut right. It had a real jagged edge. He said the glue had dried and he could not put it on. The next thing was the molding around the sky light was not cut right one side was real sharp and pointed and the other side had a big gouge out of it that he filled in with caulk. There was also caulk everywhere including in our carpet on our stairway. He explained that he did not have the proper tools to cut the trim or to caulk. I got home at this time and we asked him to leave. My girlfriend called the next day to complain and was told that they were told the job was finished on Saturday and that we were satisfied. They sent someone out to look at the job and get a list of the materials that they would need to finish the same day. The next day they called and said they ordered the material but it would take ten to fifteen business days to get them in. While we were waiting on that I received a call from one of the owners and he explained that that payment would be due in full when the job was complete. I said no that they were late four days in a row and that maybe I should contact a lawyer. He said that the weekend days did not count because they do not work weekends and that he was sending another guy out to finish the job at no added cost. Also he said if we did not pay it would go to collections faster then it would go to court and my credit would be ruined. On May 10th. I called to see if the materials were in. I was told yes. They just did not have time to call us. He said he would have someone out on Thursday May 12th. I said no we were not taking anymore time off work they would have to come out on the weekend. He said they do not work on weekends. I told them they would have to. They sent another guy out on Saturday May 14th. He showed up around 8:30 a.m. We showed him everything that needed to be done. He said that they had ordered the wrong panel and he needed to call his boss. When he came back in he said he could fix everything with the trim that he had. We either settled for the patch job or wait another fifteen days. We settled for the patch job. The bathroom looks okay but it was not what we were promised. Really could not believe that the owner of this company was so rude. Bottom line is DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!
