To Whom It May ConcernWe deeply apologize that you did not receive informationBefore our transition from the [redacted] location, we did our best to contact all of our membersWe sent emails and regular mail, hung signs around the facility and even sent out text message blastsThe notifications allowed us to inform our members on how to handle their contracts during this timeMembers have the option of cancelling their agreements at no additional charge, attending our [redacted] facility or having their agreements temporarily managed by Worlds Gym in East Meadow (again at no additional charge)As stated in our many attempts to communicate, all agreements would automatically be transferred to the [redacted] facility if we did not hear any wordOur [redacted] facility is only miles away where our [redacted] facility wasDespite the claims of not being informed on how to cancel, our member services department received an email from this member, asking to cancel her agreement in AugustOur front desk staff at [redacted] generously has given our member services contact informationOn August ***, this agreement was cancelledIf previous attempts to cancel were made, please supply our member services department with an original email on when the claim was made, a copy of your certified mail receipt, or a copy of your cancellation formThe department will gladly refund any cancellation that was supposed to have been refundedYou may contact them at [redacted] .As of now, this agreement is cancelledIf you may choose to keep an active and healthy lifestyle and wish to attend Worlds Gym in East Meadow (which is a mile away from our [redacted] location), please contact our member services department so that they may assist you in transferring your agreementAnd always remember, our doors here are always open at [redacted] :) We thank you for choosing Big Al'sAll the very best

Even though member did not have any documentation stating that she hand cancelled we refunded her the money. member failed to notice her refund that was processed on 122016 at 4:37PM

Foremost, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience that this may have causedI wish that I would have been contact directly in order to rectify this situation instead of it having to come to thisI would like to take the opportunity to let you know that this is not at all a reflection on Big Al's Family FitnessUnfortunately, accidents may happen and I went ahead and refunded the clientI have also reached out to her via telephone and e-mail to apologize for this discrepancyWe are a family owned and operated facility and truly take pride in itEveryone at Big Al's is family and we hope to speak directly with this member soon in order to clear the air

Good AfternoonThis member had called the facility on August *** claiming that his agreement was supposed to be cancelledHe was notified that if he supplied confirmation of his request, we would undoubtedly refund himMember would have to supply a receipt of his certified mail letter, an original
email or a cancellation formBig Al's does NOT accept cancellation requests over the phone - as stipulated in all contracts. Member agreed to a year contract with membership changing to a month to month upon completion of the yearIn January of 2017, this agreement switched to a month to month contractMember was billed from January until August of Member put in a dispute with his credit card company in August for three charges totaling $This request was NOT honored due to the cancellation process that we have in placeOn August *** 2017, the member called the facilityOur front desk staff informed the member to contact *** Member Services received a request from the front desk employee to cancel the agreementAs stipulated in all contracts, cancellation requests must be received days before invoices are generated due to automatic, electronic paymentsUnfortunately, the request was received on August *** when invoices on this agreement were generated for September ***In this case, it is physically impossible to stop a charge when it is in the draft status. However as a courtesy, member services has agreed to refund the $charge for SeptemberFor the other charges, member must supply member services with proof of request to cancelMember Services will then gladly refund. I would like it stated that my account is cancelled in full I do not want any type of affiliation with this establishment/business and do not want to get charged in the future and have to go through this again I appreciate that my account was credited back but there is nothing in the response that states they have cancelled not only my personal training but my membership as well
