Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] Greetings, All: I am rejecting BookWhirl's response to my complaint based upon the following: When I spoke with Mr [redacted] on December 15th and inquired about BookWhirl's affiliation with the Revdex.com, he adamantly confirmed that their business was a memberMy verification was done beforehand based upon the information listed on the Revdex.com site as it related to BookWhirl which stated that they were not a accreditedVerification was further made after speaking with a customer service representative who verified that BookWhirl was not a member and would be contacted to have the Revdex.com logo removed from BookWhirl's websiteIf Mr [redacted] found it necessary to lie about their company's affiliation with the Revdex.com, I find it very difficult to accept the statistics pertaining to my marketing campaign to be a true representation of what his business supposedly provided as a serviceThe information that has been provided to me is only verifiable through their companyAs a BookWhirl customer, taking my money and saying that a marketing campaign took place without any proof other than a printout that I can produce from my own computer is not doing business that assures me as a customer that I have gotten what I paid forWhile BookWhirl boasts at having 1,000,ACTIVE book buyers and no guarantees, I find it difficult to comprehend that the quoted 10.01% was met right on the mark, yet they cannot provide ANYTHING to substantiate this factAlso, the links supposedly show that 3,people opened the linksThis also cannot be proven to be factualI do not believe any of this to be realTheir stance that they provided me no guarantees is a lieWhen I hired BookWhirl, the guarantee was was reiterated by [redacted] and it was also posted on their website and later ta [redacted] downShe guaranteed that my book sales would increase by 10%Ten percent of 1,000,is 100,I did not foresee selling 100,booksEven if one half percent of the one million (1,000) was met, I would have been satisfied, but my experience with BookWhirl has all turned out to be a sham that has been based on lies told from the very beginning when [redacted] contacted me and told me that my genre of book was in high demand in countries all across America and would sell by with their 1,000,marketing campaign listI DO NOT AND WILL NEVER ACCEPT THEIR RESPONSE THAT THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO

I was aware of the charges that Bookwhirl was a scam, but I took the risk anyway Every promise they made was fulfilled promptly The work they did was quality work and my book is now available I highly recommend these people

Over a year ago I self-published my book BAD RAP, The Truth About the Tragically Misunderstood Pit Bull, with Bookwhirl.com. I paid Bookwhirl (up-front - silly me) $2000.00 to publish two books for me. I have not submitted my second manuscript to them due to my experience with my first book: Bookwhirl promised me a full page ad in a popular internet magazine which I have never received, After having received no royalties and having found no book sales listed for my book on their website, I wrote to them stating: "Even if my book were the worst book ever published, I have to believe that there would be at least one dummy out there who would buy it!" A couple of days later I again reviewed my list of books sold on their website, and they had added the number "1" for the number of my books sold. I never have figured out just what kind of game they were playing with this one. I have sent numerous e-mails and made phone calls to Bookwhirl and they have completely ignored all of them. I have informed Bookwhirl.com that I would like them to return my money for the second book I had originally planned to publish with them as a result of my bad experiences with them (I have not sent them my second manuscript). They have completely ignored my requests. I have warned Bookwhirl.com that if they continue to ignore my requests, I will file a formal complaint with the Attorney General's Office. This doesn't appear to concern them at all, as they have not acknowledged any concern nor desire to refund my money for the second book. Thus, my next step will be to file this complaint to the Attorney General's Office. In closing, it has been my experience that one cannot be too careful which self-publishing company one chooses!

This is a shady, poorly run company I used them for my website and promotional assistance for my books Their customer service is overseas and sometimes the accent of the agents is hard to understand Often when I called, there was no answer and messages and e-mail were ignored This last year when I paid to have my webpage renewed, they took my money but never updated my page I was able to get my credit card company to reverse the charges, but then Bookwhirl retaliated with posting my website with inappropriate material

In this letter, the term “complainant” and/or “client” will be referred to Jenettha June Baines, and the term “company” to BookWhirl.com.

We would like to firmly state that our company does NOT guarantee sales in every book marketing tool that we offer to our clients....

BookWhirl.com is an online book marketing services provider. Our self-published author clients have the full liberty on the control and the effectiveness of their book marketing campaigns.

The complainant was uncomfortable on the fact that her book, despite blasting an e-mail advertisement to 1 million recipients was not able to generate sales. On the Post-fulfillment Report, the complainant’s advertisement received a 10.01% response. However, this does not necessarily mean book sales. In addition, this can also mean that the complainant’s material may not be marketable.

Our company also took a full effort on investigating the matter. In contrary to the complainant’s claim of guaranteed sales, we have reviewed all communications between the complainant and our Marketing Representatives but found no traces of the said claim.

The complainant’s problem, which is not garnering sales after a specific marketing campaign, is a common misunderstanding for most self-published authors. However, success in the self-publishing business does not only involve a single marketing tool. Self-publishing would mean investment, hard work, risk, and a thoroughly planned marketing campaign.

Furthermore, the client agreed and signed on our company’s Disclaimer and Refund Policy, clearly stating that we are not liable for any success or failure of his or her work, may it be directly or indirectly related to the purchase and use of our products and services.

Thank you giving this opportunity to hear our side.

Respectfully,

Greetings, All:
I am rejecting BookWhirl's response to my complaint based upon the following:
When I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on December 15th and inquired about BookWhirl's affiliation with the Revdex.com, he adamantly confirmed that their business was a member. My verification was done beforehand based upon the information listed on the Revdex.com site as it related to BookWhirl which stated that they were not a accredited. Verification was further made after speaking with a customer service representative who verified that BookWhirl was not a member and would be contacted to have the Revdex.com logo removed from BookWhirl's website. If Mr. [redacted] found it necessary to lie about their company's affiliation with the Revdex.com, I find it very difficult to accept the statistics pertaining to my marketing campaign to be a true representation of what his business supposedly provided as a service. The information that has been provided to me is only verifiable through their company. As a BookWhirl customer, taking my money and saying that a marketing campaign took place without any proof other than a printout that I can produce from my own computer is not doing business that assures me as a customer that I have gotten what I paid for. While BookWhirl boasts at having 1,000,000 ACTIVE book buyers and no guarantees, I find it difficult to comprehend that the quoted 10.01% was met right on the mark, yet they cannot provide ANYTHING to substantiate this fact. Also, the links supposedly show that 3,780 people opened the links. This also cannot be proven to be factual. I do not believe any of this to be real. Their stance that they provided me no guarantees is a lie. When I hired BookWhirl, the guarantee was was reiterated by [redacted] and it was also posted on their website and later ta[redacted] down. She guaranteed that my book sales would increase by 10%. Ten percent of 1,000,000 is 100,000. I did not foresee selling 100,000 books. Even if one half percent of the one million (1,000) was met, I would have been satisfied, but my experience with BookWhirl has all turned out to be a sham that has been based on lies told from the very beginning when [redacted] contacted me and told me that my genre of book was in high demand in countries all across America and would sell by with their 1,000,000 marketing campaign list. I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER ACCEPT THEIR RESPONSE THAT THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO.
