I purchased the virus protection last September and paid for one year. I found the service to be very unacceptable and not reliable and tried to cancel it. I received 6 - 8 threatening phone calls from them threatening me with up to a $6000.00 cost they were going to remove from my bank account. I did not want any money back; I just wanted the services cancelled. I finally was given a person on the phone that was going to cancel my services. He quoted me from $200.00 to $399.99 to cancel and I stated I was not paying to cancel services. He took control of my computer and refused to allow me access until I paid the money. I finally paid because my job is on my computer. I have no idea how much of my computer data they have kept and I hope nobody ever chooses them for any type of service. They are certainly not listed in the top virus protection services in our country. I feel they are unethical and fraudulent in their practices.

As a small it business, it was the right decision to get technical support from brothertech. Professional, honest, and fair. They quickly diagnosed and fixed server issue in a narrow time window. They generally are speedy on undertaking culmination and in settling issues rapidly bringing about negligible if at all downtime. Proficient and gracious experts are dependably a joy to manage!

[Your Answ    After reading their response which is a little difficult to understand due to poor grammer, I did not request anything from them but was pressured by scare tactics to allow them to fix my computer.  It is amazing that this company has a third party involved and they know nothing about it.  Surely more people have complained of the harrassment.  I feel their explanation is weak and would give anyone advice to steer clear of this company.  Their initial contact was a scare and dishonest.  No honest company would scam users in this way.

security on her computer and told her we will provide technical support as well, as per company policies we can't call the customer and asked for any kind of money or renewal of tools, and we are 100% sure that customer received calls from some other third party we have provide our technical hr to customer for future support that is [redacted] and it is 24*7 our technician are available always, customer is having some miss confusion. you can check the attachment  as well.

I received a call from them on 12/7/2017 stating that my service contract was about to expire, and that renewal would cost $574. I decided to cancel the service entirely. When I called them back I was told that was not possible, but that they would sell me their lifetime plan for $399. I should have had the choice to cancel it entirely, but I was forced to pay the $399. I realize the money is gone, but I have decided that I will seek legal recourse if they try this again.

Review: I had a virus warning on my computer and could not use it. It was blocked and the only way out was to call a number. Two hundred dollars later I have my computer. This is not the first time I have paid hundreds to gain access to my computer. When I stated It was more than I could pay and I wanted to seek out someone else, the sales guy got his supervisor. They were courteous and gave me much information, but I had no choice than but to pay them. Although they made me think they cared the point is I had no choice but to pay them or I could not use my computer. It makes me wonder if I had a virus at all!Desired Settlement: Please do not block computers and tell the owners they have no choice but to use your services and have to pay to regain use. I do not believe there was a virus, since you were the only business responding.Billing Adjustment
