Mr [redacted] continues to be flat our irrational with this situation: The receipt he provides shows he paid $6, The canopy system goes WITH the unit and is part and parcel of the product We provided printed dimensions and assembly instructions with the pergola kit We also sent them by email Plus the dimensions are available on our website 24/ Although we provided accurate dimensions for our product, we did not provide site preparation instructions and we never provide site preparation instructions because every site is different We are not landscape contractors We are not on site to guide the contractor He/she must prepare the site to accommodate our dimensions Any of our customers who purchases one of our pergola kits must take care of the site preparation Some homeowners place our pergola on a wood deck, some on a concrete pad, some on a b [redacted] pad, and some build stone bases to wrap around our posts We provide the dimensions for the pergola and it is the customer or the contractor's responsibility to prepare the site according to those dimensions In this case, Mr [redacted] 's contractor did not pay attention to the dimensions we provided As I have stated before, this is the first time in years and over 10,kits which we have shipped all across the USA that any customer has attempted to hold us responsible for their contractor not properly preparing the site It is totally ridiculous.We have offered to make a custom sized pergola and drive hours to Mr [redacted] 's house to (a) deliver the new pergola, (b) install the new pergola, and (c) retrieve the pergola we initially provided We have offered to buy back the original pergola for the same $6,he paid He rejected this offer We can do no better.Thank you for closing this case.ChetFounder/CEOAmish Country Gazebos

We cannot assume responsibility for site preparation done by other contractors. Every job site is different, so it is the responsibility of the home owner to prepare the site properlyThe dimensions for each pergola are on our website for all to see 24/7. We also email the
dimensions to each customer, as we did in this case. We have shipped more than 10,units, and never before has someone tried to make us responsible for their contractor's mistake. And this is TWO YEARS after we shipped the pergola to this particular jobsite.Our Amish carpenters in Lancaster County make pergola and gazebo kits that we ship them all over the USA. It would be impossible for us to monitor the site preparation work done by others

I am hereby providing response to all points raised by Amish Country GazeboI am attaching receiptI paid precisely $4,for the pergolaThey are now asking $12,for a custom pergola 1'6" wider than the original size I orderedIt is beyond me to understand how little extra material will cost 3xAttached receipt answers the question and proves that I paid $4120.3.I have numerous emails from Amish country claiming that their instructions are available on the website 24xand they have never sent instructions for over 10,units they have shippedIn fact, if you read their first response to Revdex.com, even in that they claim that instructions are NEVER sent with the productNow they are changing their statementTalks about their ethics and valuesThis disconnect is intentionalIf *** *** starts selling products with ONLY online user manuals/instructions, more than half of the products will be dysfunctionalSimilarly, if pharmacist, start handing off the dosage instructions or start posting on their website instead of sticking it to the prescriptions, half of the patients would dieThey are intentionally creating this disconnect to increase their business and ask for 3x costI had an hour long phone conversation with my contractor on the line as wellTheir specialized installers never raised these concerns beforeWhy now? My contractor will testifyThey are being unfair in all their offersI agree that they have made an offer to take it back for $6,The custom pergola will not have roman columns which is $1,$12,for custom pergola is not justified by any angle. I will be bringing a lawsuit against them

Yes, I did finally receive the refundIt took considerable force on my part to receive it in fullBoth MrLeon B*** and MrChet B***
demanded 25%, stating that I cancelled the orderI did notAlso, MrLeon B*** wanted to charge me an additional $for engineering plans, knowing that they would be useless to me in obtaining a permitThey knew and even stated in an email after my order that they have no one who is licensed, insured and registered to build in the state of New Jersey When MrChet B*** promised to give me a refund, he stated that he feels sorry for my future victimsThe email to this effect is included in the packageThis is not an acceptable business responseIf anything, I was the victimI paid for all products and services which were on the contract formIt was noted that the Amish Country Gazebo professional craftsmen would complete the building process at my home residenceThey could not perform any of the work that they promised to do I realize that many people would accept the refund and move onHowever, for a company to put other consumers in the same situation is not morally or legally fair And to make matters worse, MrChet B*** insulted me and tried to make me appear as the trouble makerThey even had the nerve to demand this additional 25% when they down right cheated meIt is a very disturbing and unprofessional way to carry out business dealings Thank you for responding to my emails Sincerely, *** *** ***
