C & C Family Roofing & Siding Reviews (9)

A new roof was installed April of and is eight years oldThe contract did not specify for a new drain box as it was in good condition at the time of the roof installationAlthough we believe there are issues with worn asbestos siding on the wall adjacent to the leaking area, C & C will absorb the cost of installing a new eave boxIt should be noted that this is a modified bitumen roof membrane requiring periodic roof maintenance, such as coating and resealing of roof flashings every three to five yearsWe do believe if this maintenance had been performed in a professional manner the drain box would be in better conditionIf the new drain box does not resolve the leaking the homeowner should move forward with replacing the effected siding and sliding window which have a high probability of causing leaksIt should be noted this roof carried a five year labor warranty which has expired and a year manufactures defect warranty which is not the issue

Our General Manager met with the homeowner to discuss her complaints. They were able to agree to a resolution of the homeowners issues.

Review: We had them come out because we saw some leaking in our master bathroom under where the vent fan is. Their repair man looked in the bathroom said it was a leaking pipe collar and would be an easy fix. First off they do not accept credit cards unless you are willing to pay the 3% service charge which should have been a bad sign. When we paid the deposit for them to come out they said they could not actually give me an idea of when they would get here, but they would call the day of. I was not thrilled since my wife and I work, but they came out and “fixed it” when we were at work.

A few weeks later after a big storm we saw that the drywall damage had gotten a lot worse so we called them back to come out and check their repair. This time I told them I wanted to be home for it so they had to give me a days notice. The repair man came out and said they replaced a different pipe collar. It turns out the original guy wrote down a 2 inch collar but the leaking one was a 3 inch, and that it was my fault for not knowing the difference. He repaired the original one and said for me to contact the office. I called them because I wanted to know who was going to pay to fix all the water damage that I received from them not fixing the right collar. After a back and forth with the GM John he said he would send out a check for $100 to pay for some of the cost.

I did not receive the check for 3 weeks and when I called back I was informed John was no longer with the company and spoke with a woman I think was named Virgina. Right off the bat she was very aggressive and almost yelling at me. She did not even let me speak and told me that I should be paying them for fixing the wrong pipe collar which they cant even prove was broken. I told her what John and I discussed and she said since I didn’t have it in writing no one cares and that I'm lucky they aren’t making me pay for fixing something that is not broken. After realizing she was clearly insane I hung up and decided to just end it.Desired Settlement: I had a deal for a $100 refund to go to the repairs but I was just told that GM was no longer there and I should be paying them.

Review: The roof is under a 10 year guarantee. It is only 8 years old. The roof has leaks. We have called them ( c and c roofing) many times to get it fix. They are saying it's not the roof but the eve box that is put of the gutter. We call are insurance company to file a claim. the adjuster told us that the eve box rotted out and the flashing is not sealed. he also said the they should have changed the eve box when they put on the new roof and sealed the flashing to the siding. this was not done and that is how he thinks the water is coming in to the house. dry wall need to be replaced. insurance company has covered the cost of the dry wall and paint but they will not cover the roof. they have told us the company should repair the flashing and seal it because it is still under the guarantee.Desired Settlement: Repair the leaking roof and eve box so the roof will not leak any more.
