We were lucky our employee wasn't injured worse than he was. Your disregard to your home's maintenance is what caused the problem. We did our best to work on an unstable and structurally failing roof system. If the employee fell thru during tear-off I would have taken responsibility but the problem happened before he was able to install his rope fall protection. That means he was on your roof less than 15 minutes before he fell thru the shingles, plywood and unfortunately your drywall. You agreed at the time to pay us to fix the problem. Then you asked us to let you out of the contract so you could claim it on insurance. Now you are trying to get us to pay for it. You have treated my company poorly and I have no interest in working for you ever again. I will send the overpayment check tomorrow. I consider this issue and contract closed.

We have had many customers over the years that have rounded up their final payment as a thank you for fixing their home in a profesional manner. Why would you send us a check after final billing for $250 and then expect us to return one for $45.54 (which is the exact amount of overpayment). I...

expected it was to go towards the drywall patch that you contracted us for, or the additional fees we encountered when you complained to the city. I let you out of the drwall contract, and I will return the overpayment. As to the drywall patch, we will not be working for you again. We will also not be held responsible for a situation out of our control. It is uncommon for a 150 lb. man to fall thru a roof. This situation is only created when a homeowner leaves their home fall into such disrepair as you did.

Review: I hired Wiggs Construction to put a new roof on my house. After about an hour, I was walking down the hallway to my bedroom when two legs cone through my ceiling. I asked the worker if he was hurt, to which he replied that they have to call Morgan, [redacted], and tell him ropes did not hold. Morgan came over later in the day having me sign a piece of paper that stated I would have to pay to get my ceiling fixed. Being new to this, I signed. I never saw a building permit, so I went down to the Inspectors office on Thursday, two days after the roof was done. I found that that Wiggs got a permit, but it was filed on Wednesday, after the roof was done. I made two payments on the roof, the second one was forty-six dollars too much, which I never received back.Desired Settlement: Get my overpaymevt back, and have them fix my ceiling free, because the worker fell through. I did not cause the accident.
