Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business regarding this serviceAt the time of the service the business’s senior tech performed worked on the customer’s toiletIt was shown to the customer there was not a blockage in the toilet and the overflow could have been that or a personal
natureThe toilet is a builder grade toilet and the tech explained this to the customer while demonstrating there was no blockageThe business reviewed the case and details with the tech once they received the case and since it was determined there was no error in the handling of the techs work the business declined to repair the damage to the floor

Terrible, questionable business practices. Would strongly recommend against utilizing their services.
Had service on water heater twice. Initially, water heater was leaking so I drained it and called for service. A technician was dispatched from C&P plumbing by my home warranty. Technician said nothing was wrong and started the water heater back up.
Within days the water heater failed to heat water and began tripping the circuit breaker. Another technician was sent out who found all the heating elements burnt up and commented that this can occur when someone "dry fires" the heater (turns on water heater without filling with water first). He replace the elements and told me that I owed another service deductible due to this being a new problem...I.e. I had hot water temporarily so this couldn't possibly be caused by the previous technician's actions and was probably due to an electric surge. Spoke with a manage who then relayed that the technician told her it was probably caused by a surge.
I would strongly recommend against using this company due to questionable business practices where it appears they will tailor the diagnoses in order to bill the home insurance/home warranty companies for parts and labor due to incompetent technical work. I reported this to my home warranty company and am awaiting resolution.

Review: My outside water faucet would not turn off. A handyman was painting my home and told me to get fixed. I called my [redacted]. No telephone answer on Sunday. Filled out computer form for request service. They gave me plumber name. No plumbers working on Sunday. Told answering service afraid of backup wall damage. Kept calling both companies to get someone out to house. Both giving different stories. Recorded much of it via phone and records. I had call back from plumber on Monday. Missed call. Called back shortly. They said could not come that day unless expedited. Have to call [redacted] to expedite. Called them twice. No response. Called Tuesday. Plumber finally came out after noon. My wall swelled in basement on Tuesday. Plumber came Tuesday. Both insurance and plumbing company failed to respond. Now wall damaged. They are both stating they are not responsible. Both kept passing the blame to the other. Now on three way call both failing to accept responsibility. I have witnesses wall in good shape prior. The leak caused basement wall panel to swell.

Now they are telling me I should have shut water off in house. The house would have been uninhabitable for family and pets for couple days. They never suggested. I had no way to turn off just portion of water. Plumber kept giving one story and insurance company another. Again recorded. I made approximately 15 calls. This is not right.Desired Settlement: Fix the wall damage. Or pay to have someone. I paid for insurance. Plumber said insurance never called to expedite originally. Insurance company said they did and gave me wrong name. Now they are teaming up and trying to blame on me. It should not have taken them two days for emergency. I was diligent. I acted appropriately. Wall was in good shape. Why pay insurance when they do this. Both passed buck. Days later trying to blame me. I want my wood paneling replaced. If a pipe is broken...they should get out here and fix.

C&P Plumbing received the original call Sunday June 14th at 1:16pm when our office was closed. We called Mrs [redacted] Monday June 15th at 10:15am to schedule this call and we had to leave a message. Mrs [redacted] called back at 4:26 that Monday requesting service at that time which we had nothing available. We informed Mrs [redacted] to call [redacted] to request Emergency Service. The expedited request was sent to us Monday June 15th at 6:12pm which our office was closed at this time. Tuesday June 16th the call was scheduled between 9:00am-12:00pm. When the technician arrived at the property there was previous water damage noticed at this time (paneling walls buckeled) C&P made a repair to the front hose bib, there was no repair made to the rear hosebib or the toilet. However in order to detect any leaking within the wall access had to be made. Therefore paneling had to be removed. Mrs [redacted] was aware of this so the job had to be rescheduled. C&P tried contacting Mrs [redacted] several times to see if access has been made and have gotten no response. Monday June 22nd Mrs [redacted] called [redacted] & C&P Plumbing to state she had water damage and the repair has not been made. She refused to schedule at this time and she ended the call. Shortly after, [redacted] called back asking to schedule the repair and at that time it was scheduled for Friday June 26th between 1:00pm-4:00pm, per Mrs [redacted] request she wanted someone after 2:00pm. the repair has been made and job is complete.

Review: [redacted] warranty service claim was referred to C&P Plumbing. When scheduling the appointment, I told the C&P Plumbing Customer Service Representative that I had a "broken pipe in my garage." The description on the invoice stated "pipe burst in garage." When the plumber ([redacted]) arrived at my home, he said "I have to give you the spiel..." and proceeded to tell me that broken pipes are not covered by my home warranty, I was still obligated to pay the $100 service fee, and that he could give me an independent quote to fix the pipe. He even knew the specific section of the [redacted] warranty contract which stated broken pipes were excluded from coverage. He also said that he asked his supervisor if he should call me first to see if I wanted to cancel the appointment, but his supervisor told him not to call me. Based on this information, C&P Plumbing knew that they could not help me under the warranty, but proceeded with the claim in order to collect the $100 service fee. This is an unethical business practice.Desired Settlement: I want C&P Plumbing to refund the $100 service fee.

Response:

We received a work order from the homeowners home warranty ([redacted]) on 5/11/15 in regards to a leak. When the dispatcher called the homeowner she was told a pipe had burst in garage. The office personnel only writes down what is being told to them at time of scheduling. When the technician arrived there he had stated that broken pipes due to freeze would not be covered he never stated that broken pipes are not covered. The technician then called the office and spoke with the office manager in regards to the customer being upset on why we did not tell her that it would not be covered. Unfortunately we do not have the customers contract to tell us what is covered and what is not. I did explain to her that her warranty should have been able to tell her that prior to us going. The technician that was scheduled at her property is one of our senior techs and would have never told her he called the supervisor and he told him not to come. As far as the deductible that the homeowner is responsible for must be paid at any time a tech arrives at a property.

Review: On 6/23/2015 C&P Plumbing installed a gas water heater in my home. The tech that was sent to put in the water heater did not seal the pipes correctly causing water to spray out of the pipes to cause damage to my home. The tech that was sent did not test the water heater before he left because he notified me that the substance that he put on the pipes took about 6 hours to dry so he left me written instructions on how to turn the water on after the pipes were dry. I am a single female living alone and know nothing about plumbing. After 8 hours I turned the water on as instructed by the tech and when down stairs. My water heater is on the second floor of my home. After a while I heard water leaking from my ceiling fan down stairs. I ran up stairs and water was spraying out from the pipes on top of the water heater. I called C&P Plumbing and the women on the phone said that she would get someone to call me back. As I waited for and hour a tech did call me back to inform me that he had been working all day and that he could not come out to my home and he would explain to me what to do to turn the water off. C&P Plumbing tech came to my home on 6/24/2015 to fix the problem but it was to late the damage to my home was already out of control and my Insurance company and Servpo was already helping with the clean up.Desired Settlement: Complete payment for all the damage done to my home. My electric bill payment for the Blowers in my home for a week. All payment for the clean up crew.
