Review: We purchased our building with full confidence in CB Structures that not only would the building be assembled in qualified and professional manner, and that the materials used would not only produce a nice-looking addition to our property but maintain that soundness for years to come. Recently we had a very heavy rain storm. We noticed the concrete pad under the overhang roof of the porch was wet. When we checked further and looked under the overhang roof and the beams supporting it we realized we had a problem. Not only was the wood saturated, there was also evidence of mold and fungi as well as nails pulled away from the beams supporting the overhang. We contacted CB Structures and explained the problem. The associate I spoke with seemed to understand the problem I was describing and assured me that she would pass the information onto the company to see what their response would be while she also explained we were two months out of the warranty. We did not receive a call back but did receive an e-mail from the associate I had spoken with stating that CBs was sorry for our inconvenience and that the door ??? repair (which was not the problem I had described at all) would have to be our responsibility and that they were taking none of the responsibility of repair due to fact that we were 2 months over warranty date. I responded to that e-mail with a clarification of what our problem was and that it was not a small matter. It was not a problem with a door but a large roof overhang/porch on the structure. We also pointed out the fact that the problem had obviously started to occur prior to our noticing it so that problem developed well within the warranty period. To clarify the problem with the structure we took photos of the beams that were saturated and exhibiting mold and damage believing that CB's once seeing these photos would reconsider their stance and realize that this problem had not occurred overnight and had been "brewing" within the warranty period unbeknownst to us.Desired Settlement: We would like the repair of the porch on our pole barn to take place. The building was not cheap and the porch roof addition an upgrade. The best resolution would be for us to get an estimate of the damage, submit to CB's and receive reimbursement for the repair. Unfortunately, the original local office, our salesperson and construction team we worked with in Liverpool, NY, no longer exist, therefore our contact with the PA office.
