C & C Customs Reviews (2)

Review: My daughter, who is a 22 year old college student, took her vehicle to this automotive shop upon recommendation from her co-workers. When she called the owner to find out if he had time to diagnose her car's problem, he stated that he did have time, to bring in the vehicle (which was barely running) to his shop the next morning and he would have a look at it. My daughter had no other means of transportation so it was important to her that it be looked at ASAP. FIVE days later, he had still not bothered to look at it. By late the next week, she called him and was told that his service tech "was out of the country" and he hadn't been able to look at the car. By the next week, she was frantic, as she still had no transportation and needed to get her vehicle back. He told her he would "bring in a friend" to look at it, as he couldn't figure out the problem. The car had been "mis-firing" and would "jerk and shake" when she drove it. It would "die" constantly, requiring her to restart the vehicle many times while driving around town. He finally told her, 10 days later, that it was a fuel module issue, it needed replaced. He promised to have it "overnighted in" and would have it ready by Friday, 10 days after she brought it in. Not only was it NOT done by Friday, he would not answer his phone or return her calls when she tried to check in on the progress. When he FINALLY got the job done, he did not even test drive the car to see if the problem was resolved! She picked up the car but told him she would NOT be paying until she knew it had been fixed. It was NOT fixed! He said it may not be the "entire problem", to bring it back in! Of course, I instructed her NOT to! Who knows how much longer it would take him! The car still mis-fired, she had problems filling it with gas (it would shut off 50 times while filling it as if the sensor wasn't working), it still shook, etc. We have NOT paid the $600.00 bill, and he has been harassing her by calling and sending texts, demanding his money. Product_Or_Service: Fuel pump Order_Number: Invoice #**Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) My daughter received a non-detailed receipt - not listing part cost or labor hours, or labor rate. Just a statement that says "diag misfire and rough run, R&I new fuel pump assembly with regulator and new fuel filter". $600.00. We do NOT feel like we owe this amount to him. His reasoning for getting payment is that he at least "got the car running again". The car broke down again several times in the next few days, prompting us to trade it in for another used vehicle.
