C & C Dodge Toyota Reviews (3)

Review: On November 8th 2013, my Dodge Sprinter was towed to C

& C Dodge, Marietta, Ohio because I could not drive it because it was

leaking diesel fuel .On November 21' 2013 I paid C & C Dodge $2214.99 for

repairs on my 2004 Dodge Sprinter.

On December 7th ''my van started leaking fuel. I was

out of town so I took it to the nearest Dodge Dealer which wa[redacted]

Dodge in [redacted] They repaired my van so I was able to drive home. The

cost of repairing the fuel leak was $2012.84

[redacted] Dodge also did additional work

in the amount of $469.34

Desired Settlement: I believe C & C Dodge did not repair my van properly and am seeking a refund of $2214.99.

Response:

C&C Chrysler Dodge Jeep Toyota is not responsible for the additional repairs that were performed by [redacted] and we do not feel we should refund any money from the repairs we performed. The customer did not contact us about his concerns until the other dealer has already performed the repairs[redacted] did not perform the same repairs and did not replace the same parts as our dealership. Therefore, the repairs were not the same and the repairs we performed were done correctly. Some of the differences in repairs are that. we did not replace any glow plugs or glow plug module during repair because there were no problems or concerns with these parts during repairs at our service facility. The only injector requiring replacement during the repairs at our repair facility was the #1 injector which we replaced. The #5 injector needed repairs due to a wood screw holding it down from work done by a previous service facility which we repaired. We did not do any repairs to the #3 and #4 injectors that [redacted] Dodge replaced because they were pert rming correctly and needed no repairs when the vehicle was in our facility. If the injectors we replaced were installed improperly it would have been leaking compression and would cause a running issue and the vehicle would have never made it from Ohio to Missouri. When the customer came to our dealership for repairs this vehicle was all messed up from the previous repair facility and oven had a wood screw holding down the #5 injector. The customer stated. when. coming into our dealership that all injectors had been previously replaced by another repair facility. We do have a 12/12 warranty on parts replaced. at our dealership. However, [redacted] did not perform the same repairs and did not repla.ce the same parts as our dealership. Therefore, the repairs were not the same.

We feel we performed all necessary repairs correctly when the vehicle was in our repair facility. The vehicle was test driven several miles after repairs and it was verified that all repairs were completed correctly. This vehicle is a 2004 Dodge Sprinter and at the time it was at our dealership it had 248,935 miles. A lot of problems can occur in a vehicle that age and with that many miles. We have already disputed and won the case twice when the customer attempted to charge back our dealership through his credit card company. We are very sorry the customer experienced problems with his vehicle but we are not responsible for them.

Regards,

All five injectors were replaced five years ago and I had driven over 100,000 miles without any issues (no leaks). This van (a 2004 Dodge Sprinter) is a handicap equipped vehicle used primarily for taking my son on trips etc. It is too coincidental that after C & C Dodge of Ohio had my van in their possession for approximately 2 weeks and took the engine apart and had their hands on all 5 injectors, that I experienced the same symptoms two weeks later in [redacted] I broke down on a Sunday and was concerned about the safety of myself and my son so I dropped it off at [redacted] It did not occur to me to phone C & C in Ohio not knowing exactly what the problem was. I discover the next day that I had 2 leaking injectors which had to be replaced (3 & 4). I requested while they had it in their possession to replace the glow plugs as I had been experiencing some starting problems. I called C & C Dodge on December 10th and discussed with them what had happened. They denied any fault on their part. I am not disputing or looking for any reimbursement to do with the glow plugs and I don't think it would have been feasible to have it towed back to Ohio for another two weeks! I feel I have been grossly taken advantage and inconvenienced by C & C Dodge!!! Charge from C & C Dodge....$2214.99 Charge for second repair 2 weeks later was $2012.00 (minus glow plugs)

Response:

We do understand the customer's frustration on this concern. However, C&C Service Department is not responsible for the additional repairs that were performed by the other dealership. The repairs were two separate concerns, and the parts replaced were different parts. This is stated in the invoices from both dealerships. When the vehicle left our dealership it was working correctly

All invoices and facts stating the reasons we are not responsible were all documented in our last statement and have already been submitted to you. We believe this validates our statement that C&C is not responsible for the additional repairs that were performed by another dealership many weeks and many miles after we repaired the vehicle.

All repairs performed by C&C were performed correctly. Thank you,

C&C Service Department

Response:

C&C Chrysler Dodge Jeep Toyota Scion does not hold any responsibility for any repairs or maintenance needed to the 1998 [redacted] after it was purchased from the customer on 11107/2013. The customer signed the document that states the vehicle was purchased as is with, no warranty. We try to do everything we can to help the customer after the sale with discounts in labor or parts but unfortunately the customer did not come to out facility for diagnosis or repair.

Thank you.,

Regards,

C&C did not ever tell me they would offer discounts on parts or labor and never asked me to bring in the 1998 [redacted] to there dealership. The sales man [redacted] also told me the day I bought the car it was making a noise in the front end he said he was told this by another customer who test drove the car before me.[redacted] also said they replaced the tires to fix the issue witch it did not!All efforts to contact C&C went with no response from them to me.On 02/12/2014 I receved a email from C&C about buying a warranty from them to fix my car so I called and spoke with [redacted] about the email and he said he would call me back.I have not got that call back as of this date as it is insurance fraud for what they offered me.Fix the car is what I want I traded a perfect running car for a car that has been sitting since 11/14/2013..Again C&C never contacted me or returned any of my calls about this matter. For them to say they offered a discount on parts and labor is a flat out lie!
