C Classic Dodge Reviews (3)

Review: I would like to file a complaint against C.Classic Dodge and owner, [redacted]. This morning, 8-26-2014, we started an application to buy a 2012 Ram 2500 SLT Cummins VIN: [redacted]. We were told that once the application is started the vehicle could not be sold to anyone else. The application was approved and the sales representative was waiting for my conformation on the amount we would be putting down. During this time [redacted] gave the okay for another sales representative ([redacted]) to complete the sale of the truck to another person who came in after we had started the purchase process. When I spoke with [redacted] about the situation he said it was because we hadn't put money down to hold the truck. However, we were never told that we had to put money down. Like I stated previously we were told that the application process would hold the truck until it was completed.Desired Settlement: I would like the revision of this compliant to be that C. Classic and [redacted] are obligated find a truck identical in style, color, features, and year, with low mileage like the truck that was sold while we were in the process of purchasing it. I feel that it should be at a lesser price do to the inconvenience and poor business. I would also like this complaint to be published for the review of any possible future customers of C. Classic and [redacted].

To whom it may concern:

I am writing in regard to case ID #[redacted] dated 08/26/2014 regarding Mr. [redacted]. [redacted] and

his attempt to purchase a 20)2 Ram 2500 pickup at our dealership. Mr. [redacted] started the

application process on 08/2612014 with one of our sales people. He completed a credit application and

it was declined by the 4 banks we submitted his application to due to an insufficient credit file. We were

able to obtain a subprime counter offer requesting a $6500 cash down payment (see attached) and a

very high interest rate. Our sales person relayed this to the customer’s significant other the next

morning (08/27/2014) but she could not commit to the deal. On the 27th one of my other sales people

had a customer on the vehicle Mr. [redacted] had looked at and since we did not have a commitment

or the cash down I gave them permission to show the truck. Their customer committed to the sale and

we sold the truck, Mr [redacted]’s significant other called later that day but I explained that we had

sold the truck and I would do my best to find them a vehicle of comparable quality and price. She told

me at that time she was not interested in me trying to satisfy them.

We are a small dealership with three sales people and we have a relatively small inventory. I have to be

fair with my employees and give them each an opportunity to earn a living. Since we did not have a firm

commitment I had to make a business decision to sell the truck to the buyer who could complete the

sale.

Thank you very much foryour time and please contact me with any questions at ###-###-####.

Sincerely

[redacted],

I am replying to your letter dates September 25,h regarding complaint ID 9737331, The customer did bring their vehicle in for diagnostics on August 27th for a check engine light issue on their JeepWe diagnosed the problem as a defective cylinder head and explained to the customer that they were on National backorder with Chrysler and he could drive his vehicle until the parts came inHe chose at that time to leave the vehicle here and wait for the partsWe received a partial shipment of parts on September and received the balance of the parts on the 17th of the SeptemberAt no time did we forget to order any partsOn September 18th h the customer did call and speak with me regarding his JeepI explained the situation with the parts being on backorder again and he requested a loaner vehicleI explained that Chrysler's warranty does not provide alternate transportation and we provide loaner cars at no charge only to people who purchase their vehicle from usHe was cursing at me and I explained that if he did not stop I would not call him backHe continued to swear and I did not call him backThe customer did call me back on September 19th posing as a friend of the customerI played along and told him all the parts were in and we had to find time in our service schedule for a certified technician to do the repairsChrysler requires that each technician be certified in different skill areas and our certified engine mechanics were obligated to finish the jobs they had startedWe give priority scheduling to people who purchase their vehicles from us and this vehicle was not purchased hereOver this entire time we explained to the customer that he could drive his Jeep until the repairs could be completed and he declinedtold him that he could expect the repairs to be completed by the 27th of SeptemberThe Jeep has been repaired under warranty; customer notified and it is ready to pick upIf you need any additional information please contact me at the dealership

I have reviewed the response sent by the dealershipI had also called Chrysler and explained the situation to a representative who then looked into my complaint furtherIt is true that I was told by CClassic that I could pick up my Jeep but I did not see any reason to do this as my Jeep was running horriblyWhen I called C Classic to check on the status of the parts, I wrote down the date and what I was told and I most certainly was told that the head was in but that they had forgotten to order the head boltsMy mother did call in one time and check on the status of my JeepI had been told the week before that it would be done some time that following week, since I was at work my mother called that day to check on my jeep but she never posed as meThe only truth in the dealerships response was that yes I did swear out of pure frustration of being given the run around each time I calledIf the dealership is going to put the customers that buy vehicles from them before those that haven't then they should have told me that at the time I made the appointment so that I was aware of their policy and at that time chose to either keep the appointment or take my jeep to another dealership

I took my Jeep Wrangler to C Classic for warranty repairs. I dropped my Jeep Wrangler off at C Classic on August 26,2013 because it wasn't running right and when I called August 27,2013 I was informed the head needed replaced only Jeep and that it was covered under the warranty but the part was on back order. Called September 4, 2013 told parts would be in later this week, beginning of next week. Called September 10,2013 the head was in but they forgot to order the head bolts so they are now waiting for those to come in. Called September 13,2013 all parts in and it would be done the following week. Called September 18,2013 to see if Jeep was done or would be done soon; told that no they hadn't gotten around to it yet maybe it would be done the following week. Spoke with the owner of C Classic, [redacted] on September 18,2013 was told by him that he would check on this issue and get back to me in one hour, never received a call back from him. I called him back on September 19,2013 and was told it would get done when they found the time. I understand my part was on back order but I feel that once it came in my Jeep should have went on the schedule. I went past C Classic tonight and my Jeep is still sitting in the same spot that it was in when I dropped it off.
