Short version: the "cleaning" on an empty house was performed so poorly that we'll never use this service again and highly recommend anyone we know against using them
Long version: our house was completely empty after having moved out and we wanted a nice and shiny place for the new buyers to move intoWe needed a general and thorough cleaning for sure, but there was nothing major to get cleaned upAfter they said they came by to clean the place (we weren't there) we stopped by, and it looked atrociousOur stainless appliances were worse off than we left them, like they were cleaned with greasy ragsWhile it looked like something was dragged all over the carpets, the place still needed a vacuum - maybe theirs was full or clogged or not operating, because it certainly didn't pick anything upTile and linoleum floors weren't mopped, and may or may not have been sweptOur guest bathroom was completely ignored - a seldom used toilet had cloudy water sitting in it - they didn't even flush it
We spoke with the supervisor to express our dissatisfaction and he scheduled a re-clean for the following afternoon, which was the day we signed the final sale agreementWe stopped by after the appointed time (3:30-4:30), noting that nothing had been fixedThe supervisor claimed our appointment time was in fact later and the crew was going to be on their way shortlyI get that scheduling conflicts happen, but when you have text messages clearly stating an appointment time, you really can't expect an already upset customer to believe anything but that the appointment was forgotten
We requested a full refund for the $charge and were offered only a $refund - we're out $180, our home sale is completed, and our home looks like *** for the new buyers
We had a pleasant experience with this service once before and decided to use them again - never againAn opportunity to correct their mistake was handled very poorly, and their desire to make sure we were satisfied was nonexistent

I have read all these wonderful reviews about this company and just donâ??t understand why I had the opposite experience I had to the point where I feel compelled to share it a few month later.

Background
I researched a ton of cleaning companies privately owned/corporations before I decided to go with Pristine simply because they had such wonderful and relatable reviews. I was moving out of a rental house into a new one in the Blue Diamond area. I rented the house for 2 years and took great care of it. I had to be in my new house September 1st so I made my appointment August 31st so the house would be in immaculate condition for the homeownerâ??s walk through.

I feel like I did everything in order and was detailed about what I needed. I went online and filled out a detailed â??get a quoteâ? leaving my address and contact info as well as specifically checking off focus areas- â??bathroomsâ? and â??windowsâ? and nothing else. I cleaned the bathrooms myself the night before a little- bleaching out all cabinets, showers and wiping down doors to aid in cleaning going faster. I had the carpets professionally cleaned the day before as well. There was no furniture in the house too. I was also originally quoted $285 at the highest for the cleaning I needed (no deep cleaning was necessary).

I was going to be at work (which I specified) and left detailed info saying key was under front door mat and the appointment was set between 2pm-4pm.

The Experience
While at work on August 31st, I get a voicemail from Mitchell at 3pm saying the ladies where at my house and there was no mat at the front door and to call him back. Through a confusing automated answering service I got Mitchell on the phone long story short the ladies showed up at the wrong house and when I asked him to give me their contact number he said they donâ??t speak any English and I would have to communicate through him. Remind you that my address was confirmed the day I made the appointment. After waiting several minutes I called Mitchell back and he confirmed that the ladies went to the wrong house and were on the way to my house. My roommate stopped by to check on them and they immediately asked her about getting paid (at about 8pm) when I already had my credit card on file.

I got off work and headed to the house at 7pmâ?¦.This is where things got worseâ?¦

When I pulled up I saw there was one little truck in the driveway. I went into the house where there were 3 cleaning ladies. To my surprise, after being there for 4 hours there was wasnâ??t much done. I immediately got my dad on speakerphone who speaks Spanish (Puerto Rican) to communicate with the ladies as I showed them things that werenâ??t doneâ?¦

The bathrooms were barely touched (as specified). When I asked them they said they did it- there was dust all around the edges, toilet, and few small make up brushes under the cabinets and was not vacuumed.

WORST thing- None of the windows were touchedâ?¦When I asked them about it they said they didnâ??t know they needed to be done and I told them I checked it off on the quote sheet- they asked what that was and had no paperwork with them. To my horror- the lady said she would do the windowsâ?¦She took her swifter mop with a rag that was RUBBER band to it that she was just cleaning the floor with, turned it upside down and started smearing film all over the window! I just her to please stop and not to worry about the windows- I ended up cleaning them myself after they left.

All the bedrooms had 3 vacuum marks in each room- they barely vacuumed anything and I couldnâ??t figure out why UNTIL I asked them to re-vacuumâ?¦The vacuum the lady was using was COMPLETELY filled with dust to the brim and was hardly making a suction soundâ?¦it was just humming. I asked her to try and empty it so it was work and she agreed- vacuum still was small and horrible.

When I went back downstairs one of the ladies showed me the oven and explained she spent a lot of time on it- the home owner was getting rid of appliances and getting new ones- specifically why I did not check off â??clean ovenâ? on the get a quote check list. She tried to show me the fridge which I had already cleaned thoroughly myself.

I house didnâ??t smell clean like it did before they came- it had the smell of clean/shampooed carpets from the day before.

I felt bad because I am sure I was the last house of the day and these ladies were tired but that doesnâ??t suffice from doing a horrible cleaning job.

To make things WORSE here were the cleaning supplies they had that I witnessed myselfâ?¦
1 swifter mop looking thing with 1 white rag rubber band to the bottom that was filthy, 1 small vacuum that was very dirty and didnâ??t seem to work well at all, 4 dirty small rags I watched them use from floor to toilet to shower to counter top in the kitchen, 1small blue bucket, 3 unidentified/unlabeled squirt bottles with a clear liquid (no bleach smell to them so I donâ??t know what it was), 1 trash bag by the front door

I did not see 1 professional cleaning supply at all or clean back up rags being used. The swifter mop thing was appalling- I watched her use it everywhere- bathroom floor to kitchen floor to WINDOWS!

They kept asking me â??is that it? Is that it?â? Mind you that my conversation with the ladies was through my dad on speakerphone the whole time.

THE PHONE CALL
I stepped outside and called the company to talk to management because I was not happy about the cleaning. I got transferred to another guy who I explained all this to starting from the beginning. At this point I was so exhausted and explained that I was not happy with the service and that I did not want to pay full price. The guy explained that it was going to be almost $400 and said heâ??d knock off a little?!? I explained that was not what I was quoted and the TWO things I specifically checked off were not even done. He acted like he could care less and that really hurt my feelings as I explained that I am a business owner too and customer service should be very important. Not even an apologyâ?¦

Turns out I was speaking to the owner Lorenzo on this call who even admitted to QUOTING me the original price. I felt like I was going to lose at this point so I gave up and told him Id pay a smaller amount because I felt like no one cared at this point and I wanted to be done with this. I went back in and saw the ladies standing by the door once again asking if that was it. In giving up, I said yeah and they left.

In tears from feeling taken advantage of and needing this house to be cleaned for the walk through in the morning, I went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies, came back to the house and cleaned the rest of the night. Im truly heartbroken to share this and really hurt that no one cared to help me from the beginning, especially the owner. Furthermore I see they talk about a 200% guaranteeâ?¦I got nothing.

White flag drawnâ?¦In the future I will never do this againâ?¦

Review: C&J Landscaping Masonry Work (owner Clarence Williamson) agreed (per written contract) to build a foundation for a double car garage. The contract included footings, block, concrete slab etc. The contract amount was for $6,000. Mr. Williamson poured the footings and laid the block. He has been paid $4,800 at this point. The general building contractor measured for the structure and found that the block work was 1 foot out of square and the block was extremely uneven. Additionally the mortar between the block has cracked severely and some have no mortar between at all. The job is so poorly done that a structure cannot be built on top. This job was supposed to take 2 weeks to complete and it has now been 2 months. All the walls have to be torn down and rebuilt. The cost to repair and rebuild will be in excess of the $4,800 that has been paid. Mr. Williamson has used numerous excuses in why he can't be there and now refuses to show up to repair/ rebuild the agreed work. He was given a time-frame to correct the work and did not comply with the request. I have since checked with some of his past clientele and have realized that he is a total fraud and has done this to nearly everyone that he has solicited work from.Desired Settlement: $4,800 refunded for inaccurate and incomplete work.

Review: "Hired CJ Construtions (Clarence Williamson) to take up and replace driveway, sidewalk, extend brick wall beside driveway and pour concert under deck. He did bad job that I have now got to have someone else redo. He ruined my garage doors and facing around doors and brick wall and never extended brick wall as I hired him to do..What was suppose to be a week to finish has turned into 5 plus. They put drain in front of garage doors with no slope and now I have water coming in,all has got to be reworked.I have paid for all cement, drain pipes and some equipment they used plus over $2600.to him.I am asking for some money back and repair garage doors." I have hired someone else to redo half of driveway and redo drain at garage doors.. It will cost around $5000 more money to fix his mess.Desired Settlement: $700.00 for Brick wall and concert work not finished and $200.00 for repair to garage doors and replace metal stripping around garage door. Total of $900.00

Review: Mr. Williamson came to our house July 30 looking for work. He did work for us 3 years ago and I trusted him. I wrote check for $600.00-came back 3 days later wrote check for $400.00. Wall beside drive had small crack. He knocked it down and never came back to repair it. Around patio he took some dirt & few rocks out & used 8 bags redimix (approx $80.00 or less) anmd charges us $450.00 for 2 yds concret. Also 7 bricks on walk. He finally came on Aug. 24- put back and brought me $100.00 back & promised to bring $400.00 more-Never came back and will not ans. his phone. He knew he had taken advantage of us.Desired Settlement: I would be happy to get at least the $400.00 back.

Review: [redacted] and his crew put up botched stone overlay with 3 noticeably different patterns, improperly repositioned a gutter drain spout that is pulling down a gutter and vinyl siding, removed and did not reinstall shutters, mailbox and an address plaque, and did not clean up mortar/sand/buckets/tarp/stone that is damaging to the value of my property. I feel that [redacted] has committed fraud, property damage, and larceny because he taken money and not finished quality stone overlay and has not restored my property to its original brick per my request to date. [redacted] presented on April 27th as if he was the lead mason and designer of the stone overlay he was completing on a home in my neighborhood. I feel that [redacted] was misleading about his expertise because the male that resigned from his company did the majority of the stone overlay at the sun room area at my residence. Since that male resigned from [redacted]’s company, the stone overlay completed by other males, sent by [redacted], is not natural in appearance and is poorly done in comparison to the design at my sun room area. [redacted] has not returned to my residence to do any of the stone overlay or correct the botched, poorly done stone overlay at the front my property. I question [redacted]’s skill as a mason and his ability to do stone overlay to the same caliber as the young man who resigned from his company and who did the majority of the stone overlay at the sun room area of my home. I was misled by [redacted] when he claimed he was ready to begin and complete the stone overlay at my residence when I gave him a $1200 deposit on April 27th. If I knew that [redacted] and his company was not prepared to complete the stone overlay at my residence in a matter of days to a week, I would not have given him my hard earned money. If I knew the stone overlay would not be completed by June 13th almost 2 months since [redacted] took my money under false pretenses, I would have cancelled my check immediately. [redacted] and his company have a number of civil law suits noted on the [redacted] Courts website with the most recent complaint in 2014. [redacted] and his company have a number of complaints noted on the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) website and have an “F” rating with the Revdex.com noting the latest complaint in June 2015. (Revdex.com complaints are listed as C & J Landscaping Masonry Work / @ [redacted] search C & amp; J Landscaping Masonry Work). I searched the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) License Look-up website before entering into a contract with [redacted] and his company on April 27th. Sadly, the DPOR License Look-up does not note any negative reports, complaints or reflects any of the poor, fraudulent practices as noted on the Revdex.com website. If the aforementioned was noted on the DPOR website about [redacted] and his company, that would have warned and protected me from his poor, unethical work practices as a Class C Contractor. [redacted]’s dishonest, seedy actions make him and his business discreditable and should not be allowed to practice as a licensed contractor. His actions are beyond civil infractions and should be considered as criminal infractions because he has recurring incidents of poor practices that spans over the years.Desired Settlement: refund my deposit and restore my property to its original brick
