C K Nail Salon

Review: C.K. Nail Salon is privately owned by a husband and wife. My Experience with this nail salon has been a nightmare. I have been going to C.K. nail salon since April 2014. I discontinued service on August 2014 due to the following: I contracted a fungus on the great toe on both feet as well as my feet bottom. The owner [redacted] used an object with a razor to scrape the dead skin off my feet bottoms. As a result I know have hard thick callouses underneath my feet. Under no circumstances did my feet require to have such tool used. The tool [redacted] used caused my feet to be tender and painful. Days later when I removed the polish from my toes I noticed a discoloration on both great toe nails. I wanted to address the issue with the owners at that time, but decided to take photos and seek medical treatment first. Once treated I inform the owners of my situation in person. When I arrived to the nail salon the owner [redacted] was the only one in the shop. [redacted] was not on the premises at that time. When I confronted [redacted] about the situation with my feet, [redacted] acted as though she didn’t understand what I was saying to her. She seemed to act as if there was a language barrier. I then decided to give her a visual so that she could better understand. I proceeded to take off my shoes and socks to show [redacted] my feet. Finally she looked at my feet and said “maybe you bumped your toe”. I said “no” then she said “maybe your hormones have something to do with it”. I felt [redacted] was in denial of the fungus and was not going to own up to what happened in her shop. I explained to [redacted] that for this to happen they were not properly cleaning and sanitizing their tools. [redacted] continued to say she didn’t understand English very well. [redacted] and I have previously had many conversations during my visits to the salon. There never appeared to be any type of language issues until now. We previously discussed where I worked and what I did for work. The intention for my visit was solely to advise them of my condition so that they could attempt to correct it for future customers. If [redacted] would have given me an apology for their negligence I would have taken it, but because she continues to deny the issue I’m doing what I know is right.Desired Settlement: RESOLUTION:

A fair resolution will be for the business to be liable for my medical expenses. I have several months of treatment and numeral lab tests to make sure my liver is not affected by the treatment.
