Review: on Oct 14,2013,I had my 1997 ford van towed to C & L auto repairs at [redacted] to have it repaired. I spoke with [redacted] of C & L, and left my keys with him. Between Oct 14 & 25, 2013 I received a call from [redacted] telling me that my inspection & registration stickers were expired, that the police were going to tow the van. I told him that the van had sat all summer and that I had my registration stickers, and would be right around with them. At that time [redacted] told me that the cost for repairs were $250.00. I asked [redacted], "Where can I take the van to be inspected? He told me that he could do them. He said it would be $60.00 for the inspection. On Oct 25, 2013, I gave him $110.00 towards the $310.00 balance I owed. On Nov 6, 2013, I paid $100.00. On Nov 11, 2013, I received another call from [redacted] telling me they were going to tow my van. When I got there, the van was on the truck being towed. I asked [redacted] about the inspection, he said I had to drive it before he could inspect it. He never told me that before. He and another person, name [redacted], an owner or employee, told me that my car was towed illegally, that it was not there fault,(altho they parked my van on the street). They told me That the lady cop frequents the area but never gave me a ticket and that she works with [redacted] towing & recyling co. that she gets some type of payoff. It cost me $250.00 to get my van before it was destroyed for parts. When I got my van to take to get inspected elsewhere, its still not running properly.Desired Settlement: I would like for the $250.00 that I paid to get my van out of tow & the $210.00 I paid to have the van repaired refunded A total of $460.00
