I have reviewed the response...

made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and want this matter to be resolved so I can have a decent place to stay and clear this housing debt that I didn't impose. However I will be responsible for the final light bill that I wasn't made aware of from apartment manager. Thanks for your time.

Very happy with the job that was done. Crew was professional and job was done right. Al Sciuto who is the owner was assigned to job Also, fixed attic panel which he didn't have to since it was inside. It's in perfect condition now .Work was done in timely manner. I give him thumbs up for the work they did.

Guaranteed roofing work not completed satisfactorily and won't return phone calls. Price doubled during work. They took advantage of an elderly lady.
On 5/16/13 [redacted] of C&M Construction, who gave his address as [redacted] NC, stopped at my home to say I needed roofing work done. He gave me a price of $3500 to remove all gutters, tear out & replace rotten fascia boards & soffits, prime & repaint, as well as install new metal drip edges, rehang & reseal gutters, replace any damaged shingles and stop leaks. I told him it was leaking around the chimney and he said it was all included. All work was guaranteed with a 5 year labor warranty. This was all written on a C&M Construction sheet labeled Contract. The phone number he gave, XXX-XXX-XXXX, is no longer in service.
On 5/22/13 [redacted], owner of C&M, came and said the work was more extensive than [redacted] realized and would cost $7300. I would not pay more than double the original amount, so we agreed on $7000 and I signed another contract sheet with the same details as the first with the additional details of removing shingles, replacing plywood, reflashing & resealing, and replacing shingles around chimney, plus installing new shingles and replacing damaged roof sheeting where needed above living room to stop leaking, as well as spraying gutters with mold control to remove mildew stains. He also added a 7 year guarantee on all work.
While they were still working, it rained heavily and they saw that there were still many leaks between the gutters and the roof, so they knew there were problems. The next day they told me they had fixed them. When they said the work was completed, I paid them $7000 by check on 5/29/13.
When it rained there were still many leaks all around the house and I called C&M. On 6/14/13 [redacted] came and resealed the gutters and put a rain diverter over the living room windows. Still leaking badly, so called again. On 6/21/13 [redacted] and another man came. The man said a wider metal strip was needed between the gutters and the roof. [redacted] wanted $1200 for the work. When I refused, he dropped it to $900. I still refused, saying the work should be covered under their guarantee.
After more rain and more leaking, I called C&M and on 6/24/13 [redacted] came and wanted $450; I refused, telling him after paying double the first quote, I was not paying any more and that this should all be covered under the guarantee, so he wrote on the contract that he would come back and add the wider metal strips at no cost when he had time.
Sometime around July 1st, I came home to find a C&M card and box of screws in my driveway. I do not know if the wider metal strips were installed, or what work was done, if any, as none of my calls have been returned since the end of June 2013. My son has also left numerous messages for [redacted] and I even had a handyman call and leave a message asking Mr. [redacted] to call me. I still have leaks that are causing damage to my home, and am only trying to get the work I paid for, and they guaranteed, to be completed or get a refund so I can hire someone who will fix the problems.
