I spoke with Mr***. I have an appointment with him 5-27-at 9:a.mto inspect his roof and go over the issued to resolve this matter

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, *** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
In the weeks since my report to you I have received no calls, emails, or texts from the business That includes today, where the business could have easily called me to discuss
Since I was concerned the company had went out of business I asked a nearby friend to check if they were open on September 2nd She spoke with the front desk and was told the company would call me that day They did not call me that day or any day since
I started a complaint with the siding supplier who referred me to CR Boger They have communicated concerns to CR Boger starting two weeks ago After all of this, CR Boger has not contacted me
This is absolutely ridiculous considering they have had my $15k deposit for over days and the project was supposed to be done by now
The excuse about trim not available until October 3rd is the first I am hearing this The excuse certainly does not resolve my complaint
Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I DID call them back times after Dave left a message on my cell phoneI explained I had been out of the country and would wait to hear backTheir "Customer Satisfaction"survey person called after I had left these msgswanting to get feedback and I told him that he needed to let them know that I still didn't have any resolve to the issues - so no I wasn't satisfied.I feel that if they intended to replace the BBQ they could have left that information on the message they did leave - or just deliver the thingI am not happy that they have been paid for a job that I am still cleaning up.As for the appointment that I missed - that is true - I was minutes late and they were already goneThey did a bit of cleanup but I still had to sweep up debris off of the front porch, pick up roofing nails both front and back yard and there is still the issue of cleaning out the gutters that are full of debris from their job.I was told the gutters would be removed before the job started and then re-installed once completeThat is why I called the office and spoke to a woman (Wendy I think) and asked if I should take the lights downShe said "No - they will take care of all of that". I am just not sure what else to do nor what they expect. Sincerely,*** ***

As we mentioned earlier, we attempted to call Ms***, but were unable to communicate with herWe still want to replace the grillWe may not have been clear about things needing to be pulled away from the house, however, we do our best to mention that to every homeowner to move these itemsFor the inconvenience, we willl be reaching out to you again, and we will be replacing the grillIf you are not available, we can drop the grill off and haul away the old one

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.the BBQ replacement must be of equal quality ie. BTU and cook space as I am a professional chef and these are important to me.Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
In regards to C&R Bogers response sent to the Revdex.com, all of the information supplied by C&R Boger in that letter is either inaccurate or false. As far as Mike the owner of C&R Boger contacting me and explaining that one of his guys made a mistake or that he wanted to “work with me” is entirely false. The only time Mike has ever contacted and spoken to me was on June 9th 2016 at 2:10 pm. During that conversation he never made any statement that he was willing to work with me or any claims of mistakes on C&R Bogers behalf. At that time he asked if I could supply a copy of the appraisal that I had done. I told him that I had already sent the company a 28 page email copy on May 18th at 12:04 pm to [redacted] and that later upon speaking with Shelby, she informed me that she had passed if forward to the owners desk. Regardless of this, I said I could resend it to him if he gave me his email. Mike also asked if I could get two more appraisals from different companies. I thought this was odd, but Mike stated he would pay for both of them. I asked how the appraisers would receive payment, as I didn’t want to pay up front and rely on getting reimbursed by Mike. Mike told me that right after ending our phone call he would text his email as well as his contact info to my phone, so that I may directly contact him when payment was needed. Shortly after our phone conversation I inquired about getting two more appraisals. I contacted one company by email from their website and the other by phone. I never received any contact information from Mike, so I did not pursue getting appraisal appointments. As of today’s date June 22nd 2016, I have yet to receive any email or text from Mike or the C&R Boger Company. The only other time Mike has attempted to contact me, was on June 21st 2016 at 3:52 pm. That is less than 24 hours prior to me writing this response. I was unable to answer his call at that time. The voice message that Mike left was the first time he has contacted me since our conversation on June 9th and also the first time he has given me some type of return contact number. In his message he inquired about the appraisals. I returned Mikes phone call at 7:04 pm on June 21st 2016 and left a voice message for him explaining that I never received his contact info and that I felt as if he was giving me the “run around.” I told him to contact me if he would still like to move forward with the appraisals. As of 11:05am June 22nd 2016, I have not received any return phone call, email, or text from Mike or any C&R Boger affiliate.
As for the C&R Boger company policy, it is clear now that it is not normal practice for them to guarantee an increase in value after their roof install. However, before signing my contract their trained employee Michael Gray explained a promised guarantee very clearly to me. Before signing any contract with C&R Boger I told Michael that their roofing looked nice but I would like to get several other bids before signing. At that point Michael proceeded to explain that the roofing C&R Boger uses is such high quality it will on average increase the value of a home by over $16,560. I then told Michael that in the geographical location where my hose is located that is unlikely. Michael then proceeded to tell me that the company is so confident in its product that it guarantees that value increase or they would credit back the difference plus 5%. I again questioned Michael because this obviously sounded extreme. At that time I questioned Michael again so that I understood their policy clearly. I said “so you’re telling me that if I pay money out of my own pocket to get an appraisal before the roofing installation and my house is currently worth X amount of dollars and then get the value again after the installation, my homes value will increase by $16,560 or you will cut me a check for the difference plus 5%?” Michael immediately said “yes” without hesitation. I said “if you write that into my contract I will sign it.” He said “no problem” and proceeded to write that guarantee into my contract. As stated on the hard copy of my contract in C&R Bogers possession as well as my own personal carbon copy, written in employee Michael G[redacted]’s hand writing in the comments section “House value increase $16,560 resale” and “If $16,560 not met, will pay difference + 5%.” My 28 page appraisal was done by a professional business that has been doing appraisals for 28 years. Written into that professional appraisal was the current value of my house prior to C&R Bogers roof install as well as a written addendum showing the range of value increase a house in my geographic location could receive after a new roof install regardless of brand or warranty that the roof comes with. This was shown through several comparables in the area that had new roof installs just before they sold and how much it increased the sale price. That range was from $4,000 to $6,000 dollars not the $6,000 to $8,000 mentioned by Mike in his response. Giving C&R Boger the benefit of a doubt, I applied the higher amount of $6,000 to the increased value of my house, which based off of the promised $16,560 value increase (which has nothing to do with the sale price because it was a home value increase based off of their quality product) was a difference of $10,560. After you add in the +5% which is $528.00 that total comes to $11,088.00 of discrepancy.
To sum up my response to Mikes misleading information.
No, the companies low price guarantee was never explained to me.
Yes, the value guarantee explained to me by C&R Boger employee Michael G[redacted] is written into my contract clearly.
No, the purchase price of $14,904 and tax of $1311.55 totaling $16,215.55 has nothing to do with the promised property value increase of $16,560.
I also do not know how a company could guarantee a home value increase, however, as it was clearly explained to me and written into my contract, your company C&R Boger has guaranteed me that value.
The math is pretty strait forward, (home to increase by $16,560 or difference +5% paid back to customer, home increased by $6,000 leaving a difference of $10,560 + 5% = $11,088.00 according to the contract details).
Mike only spoke with me on one occasion and never gave me any “benefit of doubt” or indication that he wanted to “work with me.”
I offered to resend my original appraisal as well as get two additional appraisals paid for by Mike, but no contact information was ever received indicating his willingness to participate.
During our phone call I told Mike I did have the appraisal but needed his contact info to resend it.
I also explained to Mike that the original appraisal had an addendum written into it showing the home’s value increase after a new roof. Nothing was ever just verbal. I have all my documentation and records.
That increase is $4,000 to $6,000 in my area. Not the $6,000 to $8,000 mentioned by Mike.
I did agree to two more appraisals on the condition that Mike forwarded his contact information and paid for them. To this date, no return contact information has been received.
No, Mike did not tell me “he looked forward to hearing from me.”
No, Mike has not left me “voicemails.” He has left me one voicemail at 3:52pm on June 21st 2016. That is less than 24 hours prior to me writing this response.
I can understand Mike’s frustration as an owner in this situation because this is not a normal practice for his company. However, it does not change the fact that the guarantee is written into my contract or that his handling and communication during this process has been almost nonexistent. The only reason I signed the contract with C&R Boger is because of their value guarantee, as it was explained to me. That contract was signed on 02/22/2016 and the roof was installed on 05/11/2016. That was ample time for anyone at C&R Boger to review the contract and question any oddities prior to sending a crew out to install my roof. They could have called to notify me of the discrepancy or asked to rewrite my contract and void the original. However, they never questioned anything until after they had finished my roof, collected my payment and received an inquiry from me. C&R Boger has shown no willingness to fulfill or even compromise on the legally binding contract that I have with them.Sincerely,[redacted]

This roof repair was completed.  Mr. [redacted] was on the install schedule but filed this complaint even though he was on the schedule.  It was completed on the scheduled date.

I have responded to this customer directly. I forwarded the correspondence that was sent to him immediately after we ended our phone conversation. I am working with the customer to resolve this matter. We are in the process of scheduling appraisals to get closer to a resolution.

CRBoger Construction was informed that there were several issues with the clean-up after the job was completed on roughly April 15th 2015. [redacted] informed us that there was debris from the roof all over her front and backyard, during the tear-off some of the debris covered her hot tub,...

scratched her BBQ and her lights were never re-attached to the gutter. We immediately scheduled a supervised clean-up with our Roofing Manager, the installers and Ms. [redacted]. This appointment was scheduled for that very same week at a time that was best for Ms. [redacted]. She did not show for this appointment. We proceeded to clean and inspect the other issues without her presence. We do not attach Christmas lights. It was confirmed that the BBQ was scratched. After cleaning we attached the lights although that is not something that we normally do and decided that we would replace her BBQ. Because Ms. [redacted] wasn’t home we could not let her know in person what our plan was nor could we confirm that the other issues were addressed to her liking. We reached out several times after the cleaning so that we could make arrangements to remove her old BBQ and replace it with a new one. After several messages we decided to wait for her to respond. She did reach out to us in June about the BBQ issue and so we called her back. Yet again we had no luck contacting her and no calls were returned. We did not notice that the lights were broken when we re-attached them.

We have gone out and met with this customer after I recieved complaint on 7-10. We visited on 7-13-15 and 7-14-15 to see exactly what the customers concerns were. The customer had a few cosmetic issues that we will be addressing this Saturday morning at 10:00am. I truly do not know where the...

breakdown in communication was on this project in regards to the customers "calls". C&R Boger policy in regards to customer service: every customer call that is fielded in our office is copied into an email and cc'd to me. My staff has 12 hours to respond to customer and produce a follow up email sent to customer and cc'd me once again. I have never once received email from this customer I. We will get him taken care of Saturday.

We worked with the customer to resolve this issue. We feel that all issues have been addressed and we have installed the material on the customer's house. This complaint was filed prior to us making arrangements with the homeowner. We are positive that the customer will verify the above statement.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
As of June 23rd 2016, the owner of C&R Boger has resumed communication with me and is currently working on finding a resolution to the contract discrepancy. At the request of C&R Boger, there are two appraisals of the property currently under way. The details of a mutual resolution are still undecided and will be contingent on the two upcoming appraisals as well as the original appraisal from May. Sincerely,[redacted]

We strictly adhere to the national do not call list. If the customer requested no calls we would also add him to our internal dnc list.

The Business owner's response is accurate regarding the conversation that took place between the business and ourselves.  The work outlined in the response has been scheduled but has not been completed at this time.  Once the work is completed, then full acceptance of the resolution will be given.Sincerely, [redacted]

On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, Mike C[redacted] (C[redacted]) called and then showed up at the house with an official bank check written on [redacted] in the amount of $3,964.00 (three thousand nine hundred sixty four dollars) to satisfy the refund of the deposit check.  He...

paid an extra $100 to cover bank fees.  This was not something we expected nor requested.   When we deposited the check at [redacted], we asked the teller to contact the local [redacted] to confirm the validity of the check given our problems with C R Boger and Mike.     I'm hopeful  this matter has now been resolved for us.   I would not trust Mike in any of his other business dealings.    Thank you for your quick response to this matter.  It is gratifying to know we (consumers) have the benefit of your services.     [redacted]

I have received a refund of my deposit and the remodel contract with CR Boger is canceled.   This took 14 days after agreement with the owner and two drives to Kent to pickup a check on September 30th.
I require no further assistance.   The Revdex.com status you recognize this company with is unwarranted and detracts from the Revdex.com organization.
