Cabinets Beyond, Inc. Reviews (4)

Based on my experience thus far, they will NOT get my business. I sent them an e-mail about 10 days ago, as their website says in their "CONTACT US" space with my measurements and what I was looking for. I got no response. I then called and left a message with a human being a couple of days later. I got no response. I then called again and was told "oh, that was probably the answering service you previously spoke with and we've yet to get to those calls". I was also told that they hadn't gotten to all of their e-maile. I told this person about my e-mail and that I would like to talk to someone about my project. He said someone would call. NO CALL. I called again and spoke to another guy who said he would look at the e-mail I sent with measurements and get me an estimate... NOTHING. Finally, the straw that broke the camel's back, and prompted this review,--I drove ALL THE WAY from Gilbert to their store to be there at 10am when they opened to check them out. Why? Because according to their website it looks like they have what I need. I finally left at 10:15am when the store was still closed! UNBELIEVABLE. I cannot understand how they ended up with Revdex.com recommendation given their basic absence of customer service. Don't waste your time with these guys.

I have an almost identical experience as the first writer on this page of a negative review. No phone calls returned. I sat In his office while the owner let the phone ring. He was too busy sweeping the floor. They have an off premises answering service. I've owned a successful business. If they are as busy as they claim to be, a smart owner would hire additional employees. I question what would happen to the 70% if I had actually paid it. Would it be used to pay for someone's else's cabinets? I think I'm smart enough to recognize trouble before it starts and for this reason I will not do business with this outfit either, although they have what I want...they can't be the only people in Phoenix that makes it. I'll just sidestep this problem in the making. I don't want trouble.

Review: [redacted] at Cabinets Beyond used his cabinet design program to create a layout for our kitchen, laundry and wine bar. The consultations and designing of the kitchen layout included all the appliances that we were going to use. Prior to purchase I had several questions for [redacted] and made sure that his product was made for the different appliances I was going to purchase. My concern was proper base cabinetry for a 48" range top, a double oven cabinet opening and a microwave cabinet. Prior to purchase I had several discussions with [redacted] regarding the proper cabinets for these appliances and was assured by [redacted] that the cabinets I would be purchasing would fit the appliances that I was purchasing for my kitchen. I also was purchasing cabinets for a wine bar that would be holding wine bottles and the CAD rendering would hold two racks of wine and have the proper depth for a wine bottle. After final payment on 3-5-2015 and delivery of the cabinets I was delivered cabinets that would not properly hold a 48" range top and the cabinets were full size cabinets that needed to be cut down by an installer in order to fit the range top properly, these cabinets were indicated on the CAD rendering they would be shorter cabinets to hold the range top. This was also confirmed by [redacted] prior to purchase and was one of the main selling points for the purchase. The second issue on delivery was the cabinet for the double oven, which only had an opening for a single oven. Again this was shown to me on the CAD rendering as a double oven cabinet and would have to be modified by my installer to fit the double oven appliance. The third issue was the cabinet for a microwave which was described on the CAD rendering as being a cabinet for that appliance and upon delivery it was a basic cabinet with three drawers which needed to be modified by an installer to work. I also received a cabinet for my wine bar area which was too shallow to properly hold wine bottles, and did not receive the wine racks still to this date. After all is said and done I feel as if I was lead to believe by [redacted] and his CAD layout that we were getting the specific cabinetry needed for our appliances. An itemized receipt of all cabinets was not provided to me upon two requests for it. It was never discussed by [redacted] or any documentation signed by myself stating that CAD cabinet layout would be different than what we purchased.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the four cabinets that I was lead to believe by [redacted] and the CAD cabinet layouts which were heavily modified in order to fit the appliance that I purchased. I would also like the proper cabinetry and wine racks needed in order to finish my wine bar area (this has been promised to me for a month now)

Review: Purchase cabinets on 5-21-14, paid in full at that time (over one thousand dollars). Cabinets were delivered 5-30-14. An installer, recommended by [redacted] at Cabinets Beyond, came to my home on 6-4-14 to do install and noticed two items were wrong. 1). "Toe Kick" trim was 9 inches too short 2). one piece of "scribe" trim was missing. The installer called [redacted] in front of me to report the issues. The Installer said they will send someone out to fix. The Installer did install cabinets without the trim.

I have made numerous phone calls asking where my pieces of trim are; on 6-4, 6-6, 6-10, 6-12 and two times on 6-20. Each time an assistant would take the call and tell me [redacted] is not there or with customer and that he would let [redacted] know. Never received any calls from [redacted] or anyone representing Cabinets Beyond store. On 5-21, while in their store, I noticed his assistant would answer the phone and tell callers [redacted] was not there and would quietly tell [redacted] who it was to see if he wanted to talk to them. If he did the assistant would say oh, hold on, he just walked in. I should of taken note what kind a business this was at that time and not made a purchase with them. On morning of 6-16 I stopped by the store and asked [redacted] face to face were my trim was. He went off in a tirade using some vulgar language, complaining he had to go clear across town to get two little pieces of trim. Said he guess's that part of being in the construction business. He then asked me if I were going to be home that afternoon that he would send Daniel to get trim and come by my home and put the trim on for me. I waited and they were a no show or no call.Desired Settlement: All I want is what I paid for, nothing more, and nothing less. I want my Toe kick trim with 53 good / usable inches and my one length of missing scribe trim.
