Review: Cablevision has sent out people to my home 4 times to try and make me switch back to there service. I called cablevision after the third time and asked to be put on there do not call list. They still came out. These people are rude and will not leave my front porch when asked to. I have had to threaten to call the police before they will leave. I called my town and I am on the do not knock list and they still came. None of the "sales" people will give you there name or card and keep trying to get into my home to talk about it. I was never shown any ID. I want this to stop. I will be contacting the Police and an Attorney for advise.Desired Settlement: I do not want representatives from Cablevision harassing my family or I. They clearly have been.

Review: Hello, I started my service with optimum when I moved to [redacted] service address [redacted]. I do not reside there anymore I moved. Upon starting service with optimum I was promised $250.00 reimbursement fee for leaving dish network and joining optimum in April of 2014. It is now October 2014. I have not received the check. There was several issues but they said it was mailed out on August 29,2014 I still have not received the check it is October 15th 2014. I stopped service with optimum due to the fact the service wasn't available at my mothers house. I am upset because I really did love their service. I called them about 2 weeks go and the lady advised me the check should be here any day, still nothing, I asked her if stopping service violated to conditions of receiving the check and she said absolutely not. The terms were that my account must be in good standing condition while the check was in the processing stage which it was. She said I am still guaranteed the check. I call/ live chat with them at least 4x a week and keep getting sent in circles. Please help.Desired Settlement: I would like my $250.00 reimbursement fee check I was promised and keep getting promised and guaranteed its coming.

On 10/21, 10/25 and 10/30, Cablevision spoke with the customer. The customer was advised the initial check was mailed although was reported by the customer as not received. Cablevision placed a stop-payment on the initial check and will process a replacement check on 10/31/14. Cablevision will remain in discussion with the customer until there is confirmation, from the customer, that the check has been received.

Review: CABLEVISION HAS COMPLETELY SCREWED UP MY BILLING AND IS DOUBLE-CHARGING ME FOR SERVICES. IN MARCH I SIMPLY ESTABLISHED SERVICE TO MY SUMMER HOME IN [redacted] & I WAS SET TO HAVE MY BILL AUTO-CHARGED LIKE I HAVE BEEN SET TO HAVE FOR YEARS!!! THEY HAVE CAUSED PROBLEMS TO BOTH MY [redacted] HOME & MY [redacted] HOMES! THEY HAVE COMPLETELY SCREWED UP MY SERVICE & MY BILL EVEN GOING SO FAR AS TO TURN OFF MY SERVICE WHEN MY BILLS ARE SET TO BE AUTOMATICALLY PAID.Desired Settlement: I WANT CABLEVISION TO REFUND ME THE MONEY THAT I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO PAY TWICE & I ALSO WANT THEM TO KEEP MY BILLS SEPARATE! MY NEW YORK ADDRESS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY NEW JERSEY ADDRESS. I ALSO WANT MY SERVICES TO WORK PROPERLY WHICH THEY ARE NOT!

Review: I have contacted Optimum Internet, part of Cablevision, on three separate occasions (first in October, 2014), each more than 30 days apart, to request that they stop sending promotional and advertising materials to my house. Each time they stated it would take 30 days for my name to be removed from the mailing lists, yet I am still receiving mailings on an almost weekly basis. The second and third times that I contacted customer service they were able to see the previous time(s) that I had contacted them and made my wishes known. At this point they are using harassing advertising practices.

[redacted] was contacted on 2/17/2015 and advised her request of immediate removal from all Optimum marketing efforts including emails, mail, phone calls and any door-to-door sales attempts has been escalated for urgent compliance. An apology was extended to [redacted] for any calls or marketing material received after her initial request. [redacted] has been provided direct contact to Cablevision’s Corporate Executive Customer Relations for any future concerns.
