Cablevision is running a poor business simply because there are limited options for cable and Internet. The billing department has openly admitted that the sales department lies to customers regarding pricing.
They have also personally harrassed me on multiple occasions by calling my phone during hours I would be sleeping and when I answered there would be silence on the other end.
They also credited my account for $51.99 as a result of returning equipment and having poor customer service experiences. When I moved into my new residence they mysteriously charged me $51.99 for a modem worth over $100 that I returned.
Cablevision companies that operate in New Jersey employ salesman who openly lie and hire people to harrass customers who have discontinued service. Their billing department will admit the sales department lies and then mysteriously bill you for outrageous claims. And their customer service department has no idea any of this goes on but are "always very sorry and promise to help you in any way they can."
There are limited cable and Internet providers and therefore they are able to get away with scamming, lying and harassing.
Please do what you can to fix them.
