Cabriolet Motors, Inc. Reviews (1)

Within 72 hours of purchasing [redacted] warning lights appear and inoperative equipment messages; factory installed Satellite radio missing. Car bought: Used 2012 [redacted] (VIN#[redacted]); approximately 27,000 miles; cost $23,582 included 2-Yr Warranty purchased for $2,000. $20,582 was paid in cashier check from bank and $3,000 was paid from buyer's personal checking account. Initial paperwork signed on 3/21/16; car picked up on 3/25/16 around 3 PM. On 3/27/16 around 3 PM the ABS, Check Engine warning light, along with an icon showing skidding rear end message "(ABS) Inoperative See Owner's Manual." By 3 PM on 3/28/16 there was a new message "Cruise Control Inoperative." Owner's manual indicated a risk of accident was possible. At 8:30 AM on 3/28/16 car was scanned by a Certified [redacted] Mechanic who scanned the car and found right front wheel speed sensor caused ABS, traction and check engine lights to come on. By noon, in spite of being told the warranty was in effect when car was driven off the lot, Warranty company said car could not be repaired until paperwork reached them. Paper work still had not reached them by Wednesday 3/30/16 and owner has become uncomfortable driving car with possibly faulty brakes. Though Cabriolet Motors was informed the Sales Manager's ([redacted]) attitude was nonchalant and weak consolation that everything would be alright. New car owner then contemplated returning the car to dealership asking for General Manager ([redacted]) to return the call prior to 4 PM because after 4 PM there was going to be a meeting with lien holder. A return call came shortly after 3 PM on 3/31/16. General Manager assured owner that Warranty company issues has been cleared and it was okay to get car repaired...but repair has to be delayed due to scheduling issues. While trying to get the car repaired new owner attempted to transfer her [redacted] membership to the [redacted] car only to find out that the radio in the car is not Satellite ready. Although the Sales Manager had verbally said the car was Satellite ready. Just as he had said there were 2 keys with the car. Relatives heard new owner specifically ask about these two things, and heard "yes" from Sales Manager. On day of pickup both dealership employees said there was only one key. Sales Manager also said the car had been a leased car. So new owner has to assume that somewhere between Leasing dealership and Cabriolet Motors the Satellite radio which was factory installed (according to documents found in owner's manual, and according to[redacted] USA) had disappeared. This was a lifetime subscription to [redacted] radio (cost $2500) according to [redacted]. With so many discrepancies and problems happening within 1 week of picking up the car, the new owner is leery- wondering what new faulty equipment will be displayed or discovered next. New owner will have spent money on deductible for repair before permanent license plates arrive.Desired SettlementI am seeking to have non-Satellite radio currently installed in the car to be replaced with original or comparable Satellite-ready radio; and a second key to be given to new owner.Business Response We are so sorry she's having difficulties. We would be more than happy to take care of the issues she's having. Ms. [redacted] purchased the extended warranty for the vehicle with $100 deductible for her, so it will be no money out of her pocket. As far as the radio, the car was bought from [redacted] financial services and came with the radio that is currently in it. The car was sold as is with the extended warranty. Again, any assistance we can give we'd be more than happy to.
