I hired *** *** of Wisconsin Classics car repair service to replace a badly squeaking ball joint on my SUV He appeared to have done so and the squeaking went away at first but then strange things started happening The 1st odd thing was that the next day the lug nut key (some vehicles with expensive wheels have a lug nut that requires a specially shaped lug nut socket that acts like a key, to remove that lug nut) showed up on my front sidewalk I called *** but he had no idea how it got there The next issue came about when I was changing my oil and I noticed what appeared to be an anti-lock brake sensor dangling and un-attached Try as I might every time I called *** to get this fixed he either wasn't in or didn't have a mechanic available Then, about this same time frame my truck started squeaking in the exact same was as it did before his "repair" Now when I tried to call *** he never answered and never returned a call Ever I stop by his shop and even though his

We stand behind all of our products We stand behind all of our warranties In the past we have gone above and beyond for this customer on previous issues and spent time and money helping diagnose a warranty issue on another pump issue on his pool We didn't have to do this as the MFG was instructed by us to resolve the problem It appears that this customer doesn't understand the warranty process in the pool and spa industry All products have a warranty All manufactures have a warranty All manufactures use their own in house warranty representatives to tackle their product lineWe are just the intermediary to help facilitate and sell product Your product that you have is out of warranty Your best bet is to try and get a nice representative at Waterway (hopefully in a good mood) to see if they will help your scenarioThere number is ###-###-#### I would try and not be combative or confrontational as the cards are not stacked in your favor But I have seen other manufactures hook their customers up and some that haven't*** is not an inferior brand as it is the number Pool Pump manufacturer and the number spa pump manufacturer in the world All new tubs have their components or systems in them.Unfortunately our industry is not like the car industry for warranty If you buy a car you surely can get it fixed under warranty within the year 36,miles But we all have been there where our vehicle starts making a noise at 42,miles It's not the dealers fault, it may not even be the consumers fault But what do you think the dealership will have to do? They would have to charge you for a new widget I'm sure they may give you a discount or a free car wash for the inconvenience but that is how it is run We are all at the mercy of the manufacturers and the warranties they purport I can give you a 20% discount on a new pump, but before I go down that road please call Waterway and see if they can help you, because if you play nice you may get one for free. ***

I could not determine where the external moisture came from that caused the metal parts on this motor to corrode. I could only determine that it didn't come from the pump itself. This failure was caused by something external to the pump. Where ever the moisture came from, this motor was destroyed....

The manufacturer's warranty is for 1 year whether the customer uses it or not. The warranty period had expired. Customer declined repair at that point and said his spa was junk and he was going to throw it away. I still have the faulty pump in my store. The customer was directed to contact the manufacturer (Waterway Pumps) ###-###-####. This customer didn't want to do that. He demanded that my company replace it for free even though it is out of the manufacturer's warranty period. His previous complaint about his pool pump was handled by the manufacturer since it was in warranty. This customer just doesn't want to go thru regular protocol for manufacturer's warranties and expects the retail store to do it all for him. Thx [redacted] @Cactus Valley Pools ###-###-####

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[redacted]s response is, again, inaccurate.  I advised his technician that the pump he sold me was substandard, not the spa.  HIS technician installed the pump and viewed the pump damage.  HIS technician could not believe the pump had already failed and did NOT note any condition under the spa that would cause the pump to fail.  [redacted] does not stand behind his product and sells substandard equipment to his customers.  [redacted] did not provide company or contact information, only stating that he THOUGHT it might be a Waterway pump.  Future customers should be aware that [redacted] will be eager to sell them equipment, but BUYER BEWARE IF THERE IS EVER A PROBLEM, BECAUSE HE WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT.

Regards,

We stand behind all of our products.  We stand behind all of our warranties.  In the past we have gone above and beyond for this customer on previous issues and spent time and money helping diagnose a warranty issue on another pump issue on his pool.  We didn't have to do this as the MFG was instructed by us to resolve the problem.   It appears that this customer doesn't understand the warranty process in the pool and spa industry.  All products have a warranty.  All manufactures have a warranty.  All manufactures use their own in house warranty representatives to tackle their product line. We are just the intermediary to help facilitate and sell product.  Your product that you have is out of warranty.  Your best bet is to try and get a nice representative at Waterway (hopefully in a good mood) to see if they will help your scenario. There number is ###-###-####.   I would try and not be combative or confrontational as the cards are not stacked in your favor.  But I have seen other manufactures hook their customers up and some that haven't. [redacted] is not an inferior brand as it is the number 4 Pool Pump manufacturer and the number 1 spa pump manufacturer in the world.  All new tubs have their components or systems in them.Unfortunately our industry is not like the car industry for warranty.  If you buy a car you surely can get it fixed under warranty within the 3 year 36,000 miles.  But we all have been there where our vehicle starts making a noise at 42,000 miles.  It's not the dealers fault, it may not even be the consumers fault.  But what do you think the dealership will have to do?  They would have to charge you for a new widget.  I'm sure they may give you a discount or a free car wash for the inconvenience but that is how it is run.  We are all at the mercy of the manufacturers and the warranties they purport.  I can give you a 20% discount on a new pump, but before I go down that road please call Waterway and see if they can help you, because if you play nice you may get one for free. [redacted]
