We had a Saturn outlook silver color with last four VIN is *** and we decided to take to Calen Auto Repair shop to replace the transmissionWe felt convertible doing business with Calen since we dealt with him twice before for the same job on different carsThis truck had only one check engine light only which was ptransmission code before we took it there and we knew it only has a transmission problemWe ordered the transmission and we shipped it there at Calen after we agreed that he would charge $labor only as usualA week after Calen’s owner drove the car back to our office which was odd, usually we have to go there to pick up our cars after the repair, and he requested $from the co-partner when I was out of the office that timeAlso he did not give us a receipt for the repairWhen I came back to the office I checked the truck and it had four new check engine lights p2070, p2078, p0402, and pI went to Calen trying to explain what happened and about

I have gone trough the complaint of [redacted], I also have spoke over the phone with him. In complain with his issue, he brought the truck to have his transmission to be replace Mr.[redacted] purchase the transmission it self. We only replace it for hi with all parts there's always a...

chance that the come damage as any person that is reasonable should know that if you bring a part your self there will be no way will take responsibility for that part if that's the case also he mentions that some sensors were damage ,when the transmission was place for example the camshaft actuator solenoid well for starters that sensors is on the top of the motors we don't even pass by because we put all of our transmissions jobs up high in a hydraulic machine so we work under  the car not by the hood. At the time that is spoke with him he mention that he had taken the car to a mechanic and also I notice that on the complaint he states he took the truck to different mechanics to solve the issues but when I talk to him I ask him to provide me with  the diagnostics from the places he took the truck and he only drop of a paper that he wrote him self from a mechanic that I believe works for his dealer ship by the name of [redacted] were he states that a bunch of sensors were damage at the time that the transmission was replace and to my believe he cut only know when and how this sensors were damage if he was there and had seen it his self  or if he had brought the truck and had knowledge of the condition  of the truck before the replacement of the transmission as Mr. [redacted] states in the complaint he took it to so many mechanics any of them cut had damage this sensors or they cut had been damage before the transmission replacement we didn't run a diagnostic on the truck before the transmission was replaced because that was not what we were ask to do we were only changing what he had ask. also most important if the case was that we had advice Mr. [redacted] that his transmission was damage and that it need it to be replace or fix and if we have had purchase the transmission and done all the labor in order to fix his truck we will have give him a period of 90 days of guaranty which is our policy. but lets point that the was not the case we never run a diagnostic to know the failure of his truck. As I mention before some of the other sensors are not related to the transmission so even if we had had fix his transmission we will not be responsible for other failures on his truck. And I know that the way cars work is hard to understand but to set an example if I damage my suspension with in days my tires will ware off I can take the car to have my suspension fix but I cant claim that  my  tires were damage by the mechanic even that they work together there not the same issue. or expect that for the repair of my suspension I can ask the mechanic to pay my tires. but as I mention before we didn't repair it so that's not even the case. And I have ask him to bring me some of the diagnostics from the places were he tuck it and he has fail to do so I cant not take Mr. [redacted] letter as a diagnostic do to the fact that firs there's not a company name to back up what he states in the letter and also to fail as a professional stating that this sensors were damage by the replacement of the transmission do to the fact  that he was not a witness of it and that he didn't know if any other mechanic had work on it as Mr. [redacted] states if he took the truck from place to place he should have prove of it. and we did charge him $70 more dollars for the work but we explain to his partner the reason of it which was that it took us longer and he was ok with it. also my dad did ask Mr.[redacted] not to come back because he came yelling about the fact that they were charge more not because there was something wrong with the truck it took him more then a year to come up with this not even a big dealer ship with repair center will take responsibility after so long.(I have spoke with Mr. [redacted] over the phone on Friday 23 of June  and he toll me over the phone that he didn't write the letter that also he didn't say it was caused by my dads work that some of the damage cut have been done by replacing the motor and transmission not the transmission it self. he made clear to me that he is also not interested to do business with Mr. [redacted] because he had issues him self with him over this trucks repair and the payment for it, he made very clear that he didn't wrote the letter and didn't know what the letter exactly said that Mr.[redacted] had toll him that the letter was something different and it was pretty much for his records never know that Mr.[redacted] had wrote on the letter  that the issues had been product of whoever had replaced the transmission he said he was sorry that we also had to deal with Mr.[redacted])
