HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTS!
GalHP Ultra Quiet and Oil-Free Aluminum Twin Tank Air Compressor Model 4620A was purchased through Home Depot Within a couple months the cheaply manufactured air manifold connecting the air hose fittings cracked and caused one of the air hose fittings to become disconnected from the air compressor
Called and emailed photos to customer service and spoke with the Customer Service Manager *** *** about the issue He was very apologetic and sent out a new air manifold Hooked up the new air manifold to the air intake line without connecting the manifold to the gauge plate so that I could make sure that it worked properly Turns out the replacement part WAS DEFECTIVE! BOTH OF THE AIR HOSE FITTINGS LEAKED!!! I couldn't believe it! Called *** back and explained the information Needed a solution ASAP it was the only unit that was available and had to be working immediately *** suggested purchasing the air connectors at a local big box store and they would reimburse for time and parts This was agreed upon The air fittings were replaced and when tested did not leak Tried to assemble the new manifold to the gauge plate and found out that California Air Tools had SENT THE WRONG MANIFOLD Had to go to different stores to get parts that would jerry rig the manifold so it would attach properly to the gauge plate!
Sent photos of the old and new manifolds to *** in a very frustrating email to show that the manifolds were in fact different To this day (9/15/15) I received absolutely no response back

First of all California Air Tools originally was emailed and received receipt from Home Depot where my girlfriend purchased the item in question on 6-29-2015 due to ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THE MANIFOLD.  See Email Sent to California Air Tools on 6-29-2015 with Receipt.pdf along with compressor.pdf.  Secondly, the SAME RECEIPT was sent to California Air Tools on 11-16-2015.  Also they were notified that any new shipment should go to the [redacted], UT address, not the [redacted], ID address.  See Email Sent to California Air Tools on 11-16-2015.pdf.  The item was purchased at a Home Depot close to [redacted], UT and was temporarily located in [redacted], ID.  Please see the email [redacted] sent and the prepaid label for sending the unit back to California Air Tools. (California Air Tools email response on 11-16-2015.pdf and [redacted] RETURN LABEL .pdf).  First of all the return address is incorrect and should have been the [redacted], UT address.  We are hoping as we have instructed California Air Tools that the new unit is shipped to [redacted], UT and not [redacted], ID.  The unit was dropped off at a UPS Store late yesterday and a photo of the drop off receipt was sent to [redacted] within a few minutes of dropping the unit off.  See Email Sent to California Air Tools on 11-17-2015.pdf and 20151117_170304.jpg.  If you track the package it even shows it departed Salt Lake at 3:32 this morning which is about 40 miles south of [redacted] and is scheduled to be delivered to California Air Tools tomorrow.  According to the email received last night [redacted] said to notify him when the item was in UPS' possession and we would receive a "prompt replacement response".  It is now close to 24 hours after notifying California Air Tools and we have not received ANY RESPONSE.  We sent an email to California Air Tools asking if the new unit went out today and no response as of yet.  Prompt typically means a "within 24 hours".  We are hoping that these issues can be remedied and a working, trouble free compressor will be received.  Until then this case is to be left open.

  Their comment doesn't make sense. I bought a 2 HP compressor and they sent me a 1 HP compressor. Their 1 HP compressor is going to break my dental equipment if I don't get it fixed soon. The 2 compressors are nearly identical visually so I did realize when it got installed but it was THEY who made the mistake! How embarrassing that they would try to blame something on me to save their reputation. When I tried to resolve the problem with them they skated it was beyond the return policy. When I pointed out that it was the day who shipped me the wrong product not me changing my mind they said that I needed to notice that sooner. It is a noticeable. Even my dental installer didn't notice. However my receipt that I ordered was a two horse Power compressor please help me fix this ASAP thank you I would either like my money back or I need today to horsepower compressor that I paid for thank you[redacted]

Review: I purchased an air compressor from this company and had several issues with it. The compressor was under warranty so I approached their customer service on resolving the issue.

1/15/16 I contacted the company about the broken compressor and their representative [redacted] had me replace a few parts but that did not fix the issue

1/21/16 [redacted] sends more parts which still does not fix the broken compressor

1/29/16 After complaining that we had already wasted 2 weeks trying to fix the compressor to no avail [redacted] finally agrees to exchange the entire unit with return shipping provided

1/30/16 The unit was promptly shipped back

2/3/16 They received the compressor, signed for by [redacted] (UPS tracking, [redacted], a side note: you can see from the tracking that they also attempted to defraud UPS by reusing an old shipping label and grossly under-specifcing the weight and size, when I dropped off the package at the UPS store, I was hassled for over 30 minutes where they tried to blame me for fraud until I proved that this company had emailed me the label and the account number was theirs)

2/12/16 (Now) I have not heard back from my 5 repeated attempts to contact this company nor have I received the replacement compressor promised

I do not have a compressor and they company has my money, all attempts to contact them have been unsuccessful, and it is clear from this experience that the company has been negligent in warranty and business practices. All e-mails exchanges are available which show that the company agreed to replace the compressor and also their failure to respond to repeated attempts to contact them.Desired Settlement: Has this company either send me the replacement compressor or refund my payment immediately. A refund being preferred, I no longer want a compressor from a company that is unable to provide service without hassle and weeks of no communication. If either resolution has not been completed in a timely matter, I will pursue charge back.

Review: I bought a new compressor for my dental office and was sent to the wrong compressor. The label describing the product being one horsepower versus the two was on the bottom. My dental installation man failed to notice because the product looked exactly the same as the one horsepower.after two months the product began having problems when I noticed it I called the company and they will not take it back because I have been using the one horsepower product for more than one month. However, they sent me the wrong product. How could I have known? I think this is not fair. As a dentist,I need a 2 hp product and have no use for the one horsepower.Desired Settlement: Credit card refund

Review: Manifold cracked after a month or two of using the compressor. Replacement manifold was received. The two quick connect couplers leaked, both of them!!! Got new ones at Home Depot. Attached them. No leaks at all. Everything worked fine until trying to attach the manifold to the front plate only to find out we were sent the WRONG REPLACEMENT MANIFOLD!! The stems on this manifold were a different length than the original. Had to purchase additional parts to make it fit properly in the front plate! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

NOW JUST NOTICED A SMALL LEAK IN THE COMPRESSOR FROM THE REPLACEMENT MANIFOLD!!!! It's only going to get worse. Now we are having to deal with California Air Tools horrible customer service again to get this resolved.Desired Settlement: At this point because we have had a horrible experience with California Air Tools we are seeking replacement of the unit. We are hoping that they are building more quality units compared to before and hope that we will not have any issues what so ever in the future at all otherwise we will be force to change to a better brand.
