Regardless of how old the car is, and whether the mirror would have fallen off eventually or not, in accordance with good business ethics, the business rep should have informed us that the mirror had fallen off, and re-attach it before we picked up the carHowever, the rep chose not to mention it to us and then when confronted, chose to deny that it happened while they had the car. My husband had to drive home without the use of the mirror
Regards,

The
customer decided not to proceed with any repairs needed on the vehicle, so
nothing was charged and nothing was paid.  Sometimes
we need to adjust a mirror to drive a vehicle safely.  If simply adjusting it by hand causes it to
fall off or break, it is not the fault of the...

person adjusting it.  This is especially true of a 30 year old
vehicle.

I
agree with the Customer that if the mirror fell off while the vehicle was in
our possession, our repair technician should have tried to re-attach it, and if
it would not re-attach, then our service writer should have informed her of
that.  The Customer is welcome to bring the vehicle back to us to try to re-attach the mirror.Sincerely,

Review: [redacted] that is the name he gave me and refused to give me his last name was my customer representative for my smog check and well they found a priblem with my pcv valve and in a bad mood he comes up to me and tells me I will fail you for your pcv valve or I can fix it for 20 dlls right now but you have a minute to decide and started a countdown with me and litterarly forced me to say yesfor the reason that when I asked him in the best mood if I could fix it myself he responded in a brutal way and started saying and I quote " If you do it yourself and [redacted] it up you are going to turn your car into a [redacted] whole then you will come back and give me 70 dlls again because I will not give you your free retest and if you want to if not get the hell out of here". So I asked if he could stop speaking that way and he replied and I quote " look this is how I talk and you will not come in here and tell me what the [redacted] to say". And all this happened when he took me outside so I asked for some respect and he said that he will not deal with my [redacted] anymore and I could do what ever the [redacted] I wanted.Desired Settlement: I will like to recieve my money back for the reason of the aggrecion and for that reason that he told me to take my car out of the shop so that he can keep it based on the policy and that a new truck will not affect him at all. Being sarcastic aswell the worst customer representative ever.

RE: Revdex.com ID#[redacted]

I interviewed our employees and they relayed to me the following sequence of events:

Mr. [redacted] Ford Ranger was tested by a young female employee ([redacted]) who just recently obtained her Smog Check license. At the beginning of the Smog Check [redacted] saw that the Ranger had a defective PCV connection. The purpose of the PCV system is to prevent toxic fumes from going into the atmosphere.

[redacted] could have visually failed the PCV connection but this would have caused the Ranger to fail its Smog Check. Instead [redacted] wanted to give Mr. V the courtesy of repairing the PCV connection first so that his Ranger might pass. She asked another employee ([redacted]) to bring Mr. V outside to his Ranger to show him the defective PCV connection and offered to have our in-house mechanic repair the connection for $20.

This courtesy backfired. Mr. * instead tried to pressure [redacted] into passing his PCV connection as is, claiming he would repair it himself later. [redacted] explained to him that it is illegal for [redacted] to pass it as is, but Mr. * still kept trying pressure tactics in an effort to get a pass. This went on for some time, causing a delay in our shop’s workflow as there were other customers waiting for their Smog Checks to begin.

Finally [redacted] had no choice but to give him an ultimatum, which was basically, fix it or fail it. At that point Mr. * finally authorized the $20 repair. Subsequently, back inside the waiting room, he tried the pressure tactics all over again, causing further delay and annoyance to everyone concerned.

Apparently Mr. * thinks that his tactics somehow entitle him to a refund for the services we provided, in effect giving him a free Smog Check and a free PCV repair. We don’t agree.

Sincerely,

[redacted], for California Smog Check

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

Hello sir and am deeply sorry for this outcome but with all my respect the statement given to you is false for the reason that I was the most calmed person there. I really do appreciate the services of the young lady and let me tell you that she is the one that should be at the front counter best custumer service with her. I really have to say that with [redacted] was completely different as for when he went to show me the pcv valve I did ask what was the use for it and all I wanted was to know more information and as the technician was explaining Mr. [redacted] cut her off with saying and I cuote " I do not have all the time in the world to wait for you and you only have 60 seconds and started making a countdown and I looked at the technician as she did a I do not know whats going on face so I under pressur authorized the fixture. So I will ask who was using those tactics of which you mention alot. When we went back inside I asked for more information on the fixture and Mr. [redacted]' s response was and I quote " I am done with this and you know what if you do not sign I will ask my technicians to cancel the fixture" and he was already acting up and what I did was to complain to another young guy that was at the counter sweeping at the time who was the one that helped me out before and he nodded and told me he was going to talk to him which he didnt and it seemed as if they were their boss and had fear towards him. Then I asked to please keep the process with the fixture and that was when Mr. [redacted] took me outside and started swearing at me which was kind of odd and frightning that he asked me to go outside but I followed him and asked like three times for him to calm down which ofcourse he did not listen and I asked him one last time to stop swearing at me and he replied and I quote" there is two [redacted] different ways of causing one is to [redacted] cause at you and the other is to cause because that is how I [redacted] talk and If you don' t like it the get yhe [redacted] ouy of here either way when I pass you smog do not even [redacted] think of coming back anymore" and it went for a little while more with everybody looking at us and with me asking him why what did I do to him. That was when he went inside and I just went to sit down and when he called my name because my smog was ready and I do not know what happened that he was so nice and asked me if I wanted more information of the valve and that he could even bring out the technician out here to talk to me and everything that had to happen if it would of have been a perfect customer service. Ofcourse sir that your employee will denie this but I will be more than glad to go your shop and confront him on his false statement and please do not denie that he did take me outside with him being infront of me and all the hand gestures that Mr. [redacted] was doing infront of me.
