California Superstores - Sacramento Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Reviews (5)

Review: I purchased my vehicle in March 2013. The finance employee sold me a Service Contract ("Extended Warranty") for the same exact coverage I already had under the Manufacturer's Warranty. Charged an extra $ 3,298 for coverage I was already entitled to. Fraudulent business practices!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the contract price of $ 3,298. The dealership committed fraud by selling me an "extended" service contract." fraud is deliberate deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain. Fraud is both a civil wrong (i.e., a fraud victim may sue the fraud perpetrator to avoid the fraud and/or recover monetary compensation) and a criminal wrong (i.e., a fraud perpetrator may be prosecuted and imprisoned by governmental authorities)."

Review: I was charged $2600.00 for a Service Contract which the sales manager stated would be included in the car price of $16,500.00

On Friday 6/21/2012 I entered into a contract to purchase a 2012 Chrysler 200 for the amount of $16,500. I asked the manager [redacted] if that was $16,500 out the door including tax and license to which he replied yes and I'll even through in the extended service contract. At that time I did not say anything about his generous offer to through in the service contract because the salesman Basa had already told me the car still had coverage. So I purchased the car and left the dealership. After being out of town that weekend I reviewed my contract on Monday 6/24/2013 and noticed I was charged tax, license and for the service contract. I called [redacted] who informed me that he never said the price included tax and license and that I would have to talk to the department that drew up the contract about the service contract. He transferred me, the woman I spoke to stated someone would be calling me back regarding this issue within the next 2 days. I believe I waited 3 or 4 days before calling back, I left a message on the voice mail of the woman I had spoken to on Monday 6/24, stating I was still waiting for someone to get back to me. To this day I have still not heard from anyone.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a new sales contract with the correct price or the price of the extended service contract $2600.00 refunded to me.

[redacted] told me the price was out the door (including tax, license, service contract). I am willing to concede the cost of tax and license but insist something be done about the service contract.

I spoke with [redacted] and reviewed her contract. I explained that the Extended Service contract is cancelable and offered to assist her with the cancelation. The cancelation will not take effect until she signs cancelation forms if she chooses to do so.

Review: Bought a 02 mustang gt Feb 2013, which ended up being a lemon. Traded it in for 2011 Dakota. Dealership added mustang to truck. We were told different

In February 2013 I [redacted] and my mother in-law [redacted] purchased a 2002 Ford Mustang GT from Sacramento Superstores. From the day this vehicle was purchased we had nothing but problems. It was in the shop more than I was able to drive the vehicle. [redacted] general manager told us that we could trade vehicle in and that the dealership would eat the remaining cost of the mustang, after a 5,500 trade in. The car was total about $13,000. We got a 2011 Dodge Ram Dakota Big Horn 4X4 for the sale price of $18,998. The total amount financed is $28,024.39. This happens to include the remaining cost of the mustang, which [redacted] had told us the dealership would take care of this cost for us. There was also a protective coating for both inside and outside of the vehicle since it came from out of state. This was said to be free of charge, but it was tacked onto the amount financed instead. I am an employee of California Superstores and I am worried about this effecting my employment, but I don't want to pay more for something thats not worth the price I am paying. Desired Settlement: I am seeking the difference between $28,024.39 from the cash price of the vehicle which is $18,998. Which was an add on.

Business' Final Response

We stand by the contract, and offer still stands to get her employee pricing on the product purchased and installed on section 1 line G of the contract for $696. Which she would need to come by the dealership and sign forms, and the funds would be sent to her lien holder. This is a final response and we consider the matter closed.

Review: 1. I find truck advertised both on cars.com and on dealer website (http://www.sacsuperstore.com/new/Ram/2015-Ram-1500-e14a7db00a0a00642ee66f3d9f79... Price of $41,785, VIN#[redacted], and "click for E-Price". I click for E-Price.2. Internet sales [redacted] ([redacted]) responds to me with actual pictures of the truck, it appears to have a 6" lift, black wheels, and side steps installed. I ask for final sales price. I'm quoted a list price of $51,784.3. I ask "what about the $41k and E-Price?"4. Mr. [redacted] quotes: "Yessir, typically it is lower about 500 and I'm happy to honor that cost.. this particular Sport happens to be upfitted."5. I ask for him to give me a final price quote after taxes, fees, etc for that E-Price. I am passed on to [redacted], sales manager, [redacted]. He sends me a final price of $56,541.87.6. I express that I am upset, that I want the E-Price of $41,785 minus 500, please re-run the numbers.7. [redacted] responds with offering a different truck for the E-Price.8. I refuse to discuss a different truck and request to receive the advertised truck at the advertised price.9. [redacted] issues final response "[redacted], That simply will not work. Good Luck, [redacted]"Desired Settlement: I would love to purchase the beautiful "upfitted" truck advertised to me at the price advertised. I am exhausted with the bait and switch techniques of unscrupulous car dealerships.Come through!

Response:

I believe that all of these images were included in the original document shared in the complaint, but here is the ad with the email saying the price would be honored again:

Business

Response:

Mr. [redacted] had inquired about a vehicle on our website. When asked for pictures we realized the truck had different equipment & installed. We sent Mr. [redacted] pictures and clearly explained we had installed additional equipment. We explained we would be happy to find the same truck and honor their price or honor our price adding the cost for the equipment.

Review: A car has a sale price on there site for 20k and they aren't honoring it.Desired Settlement: I would of liked the deal advertise.

Response:

Spoke with customer several times on phone and after explaining about the online error customer said he was contacting Revdex.com. I did not know he was making a complaint, in the meantime I had customer come in and he purchased a similar vehicle and at highly discounted price.Further contact with customer feedback was positive and resolved.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because I didn't get the deal advertise or the deal they talked about over the phone. I was told on the phone to come in and we will work out a great deal for you. I said I wanted the advertise price and willing to take the basic model. I also got a quote for the life time warranty for 2,200, but ended up paying 2,900 for it.I live 60 miles away, so I wanted to be sure and over the phone and they convince me to come. I have talked to multiple people and over the phone records to prove it. I also gave them the exact time when I would be there and rose stated she will have the car ready. When I arrived she was at lunch and someone else help me. I had to explain the whole thing to him. That was really frustrating after a 2hour drive with traffic. Finally a manager came and said we will give you a great deal. When rose finally came back I talked to her and learned she was just an online sales person. I believe they just put someone that sounds innocent person on the phone to get me to arrive and so they can do what their sales people do. The advertise price was even still on the website The deal I got I could of got at any local dealership. I went ahead and purchase the vehicle thinking the owners will make it right and will make the customer happy. I also gave them a horrible review on there survey, so I don't know why they got the impress I left happy. I made it clear, but I was professional that I should of got the advertised price and even took the basic model. I can't believe this business is rated high because I had a horrible experience and I will continue to let all my friends and family about it. They all say you should of got the advertise price and even if it was an error. I don't know what I can do, but I hope I can get the vehicle for the advertise price since they stated I got a discounted price. All I WANT IS THE ADVERTISED PRICE AND THE DEAL WE TALKED ABOUT OVER THE PHONE. IF THEY CAN'T BE HONEST ABOUT THEN THIS BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE CHECKED OUT ESPEICALLY THERE WEBSITES SALES. I DIDN'T EVEN GET THE 0% INTEREST RATE AND MY CREDIT SCORE IS 830. IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THAT AND THEY SAID THERE BEST IS 1.99. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THEM!!

Response:

I read the complaint and agree with the response. The price quoated online was obviously an error. The Sales Manager did everything in his power to rectify the situation by selling him a vehicle at a substantial discount. In regards to the 0% financing, I'm unsure if it was available at that time or available on that vehicle. Typically the customer forgoes some or all of the rebates to get that rate. As to the Lifetime Warranty, once again, it varies from vehicle to vehicle. That is something that is typically negotiated with the Finanace Manager. I am confident in my belief that this customer received a fair deal and has used the survey from Chrysler to express his displeasure, as is his right. The long and short of it is there was a clerical error made online and we did everything possible to appease this customer. This matter should be closed and our record with the Revdex.com expunged. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Take Care,

General Sales Manager
