I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

1. Customer wanted to put a stop payment on their check since we hadn't received it after 9 mailing days.2. Our Customer Service/Collection person was informed by customer on the 9th day at 2:56 pm he was going to put a stop payment on the check.  At that time payment had not been received or...

posted.  However, our Accts. Receivable person, who operates from another location, was already on the way to our mailbox location and had deposited the customer's check before returning to the office.  Accts. Receivable did not receive message concerning the stop payment until after returning to the office from the bank.  Upon A/R returning to the office, they informed Customer Svc. of the deposit of the check, which customer service in turn sent a message to our customer and mailed a revised statement showing the payment.3.  We always deposit and post payments upon receipt and never leave them 'sitting' or 'disregarded' in our office. It has and always will be our goal to post all payments immediately.4.  Unfortunately, in this case, the timing of customer informing Customer Service of the stop payment on their payment and Accts. Receivable retrieving the mail and depositing the check all happened within a very small window of time at two different locations and couldn't have been avoided or done differently.  5.  Due the confusion surrounding the narrow time frame of events we have posted a credit for the stop payment charge we billed to our customer.

Review: I have been a calweb customer for about 15 years, and have never had an issue with them, until now. We are usually billed for our internet services around the middle of the month, which we always honor by remitting a personal check. lately, they have been rather remiss on cashing/processing these checks. the bill is due on the 15th, and our checks usually clear within the next few days. Last month, we were a couple days late sending the check for the feburary statement, durng which time we received an email from them informing us our account is past due. I phoned them on the 24th of last month to inquire about said check, and they insisted they had not received it. we assumed it had been lost somewhere in the mail, and called our bank the same day to stop payment (I informed calweb I was going to do this). A couple days after, calweb emailed us and claimed they HAD gotten the check, so I assumed they had cashed and processed it and applied it to our account, as they made absolutely NO mention of reminding us to contact our bank to reverse the stop payment (I assumed it had already been cashed). During this time, I had mailed out a duplicate check to cal web, and asked them to apply this one to our march payment, and they assured us they would. a few days ago, we received yet another email, claiming once again, that our account was past due. My issue with them is their poor business practices: to not only have received the check and left it sitting, disregarded, in the office and telling us we have not paid, is absolutely ridiculous!!!! And I have been emailing and phoning them all morning,and not one apology from them concerning theirr oversight--all they had to say was "we could not process the check since you stopped payment"....I STOPPED PAYMENT AS THEY CLAIMED THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED IT!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST TO THEM TO MAKE SOME MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS ON THEIR ACCOUNTING/BILLING PRACTICES!!!! As I said, I have been a long time customer, and I am very upset regarding their casual attitude concerning this matter!!! I send them monthly checks that they now choose to overlook, and then they have the audacity to tell me MY ACCOUNT IS PAST DUE!!!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP, CALWEB!!!! YOU ARE ABOUT TO LOSE A LOYAL LONGTIME CUSTOMER!!!!!!!
