THIS IS A DISPUTE BETWEEN CUSTOMER AND INSURANCE CO.IT GOT OUT OF HAND.THE PARTS ARE FINE.THE PAINT ON THE BUMPER WAS CAUSED BY ROCK CHIP AND IT LOOK LIKE THE CUSTOMER PEELED IT WITH HIS FINGER NAIL THE PAINT WAS JUST HANGING LOSS.WE DID NOT TALK TO THE CUSTOMER AFTER THE DISPUTE WITH THE
ADJUSTER.IT GOT PHYSICAL

I am rejecting this response because: The parts are not correct (grill does not fit to the hood) and the paint is spalling off the front bumper. The proof is in the photos. Geico has been notified also.

Review: Im representing my daughter in this letter, M[redacted]r. She has been trying to get her car fixed at the recommended repair shop, Camarillo Auto Body since 12/26/13. M[redacted] has made several trips to Camarillo Auto Body since having it repair there. The people she has dealt with are R[redacted] who represents the shop, and J[redacted] who represents Geico. It seems that they have taken advantage of her lack of knowledge of a proper repair. She was successful in getting them to fix the hood that was not adjusted properly and installing a missing clip for the grill, but she was not able to have them fix the grill spacing. Since then the paint has started to come off the front bumper, which was replaced during the first repair. I called and talked to J[redacted] (Geico Adjuster) at Camarillo Auto Body on 6/30/15, and told him of the problem with the grill and the paint that was flaking off of the front bumper. I told him that I wanted to bring it in and show him. I went there and met with both him and R[redacted]. John said that the spacing of the grill was within the standard of 3 mm. He was measuring the dimension from the hood to the grill and not the gap between them with a plastic depth gage. After I pointed that out to him he then measured it correctly, and said it was at 3mm. I gentle put my hand on his shoulder, in a very friendly way, and he said in a very sternway not to touch him. I told him that I was just trying to be friendly. I showed him the area where the paint was flaking off the front bumper. He pointed to the license plate and said that the car had hit something. I told him that the license was that way before the repair and that didnt have anything to do with the paint flaking off the bumper. John then said it was a rock that caused the paint to chip. I told him that the paint should not be spalling off and that was due to poor paint adhesion. I found J[redacted] to be condescending and discourteousDesired Settlement: Repaint the front bumper, and replace the after market grill with an OEM grill that fits properly.

Review: I took my vehicle to Camarillo auto body to be repaired after it was damaged, I took them a vehicle that matched in paint color and the only issue was the front of the vehicle had been driven into a curb at a very low speed and the paint chipped off of the front bumper. I was quoted $1300 for the repair which was excepted by the party who damaged the vehicle. I was told it was going to be a 2 to 3 day job, I dropped it off on a Tuesday and the following Tuesday it was ready. I was not upset with the amount of time that was taken, I was upset with the fact when I went to go pick up my vehicle the paint colors did not match at all . It looks as if my vehicle was painted with the wrong paint color . I did not take possession of the vehicle that evening I left the vehicle there to be reassessed by the manager because I was not satisfied with the work that had been completed. I told them I would not accept the work . The next morning I was called and told I needed to pick up my vehicle and that the manager would not fix the issue that I had concerns with. He said he would not have the bumper repainted because it would just turn out worse than it already was . I was given nothing but excuses for why the paint would not match I honestly believe they did not even use the correct color to paint my vehicle!Desired Settlement: I want a refund, repair, or replacement bumper if this job cannot be completed as advised in the original estimate. I want the paint to match!
