I am rejecting this response because: Cambridge's reported negotiation attempt was calling me yesterday and informing me that they are adding an additional $charge in addition to what I already paid*** told me that this additional charge was $500, though they are going to waive a previously paid cleaning fee to reduce this new charge down to $This is what *** is referring to when she stated she has "waived a number of fees." I attached a PDF of the final account statement I received as well as the cashed checkYou can see that no charges were waived, and I paid the final account in fullIt is concerning that Cambridge is demanding an additional charge after I filed this complaint, and they are again threatening to report me to debt collectionsIn regards to the contract, I have previously indicated that we were forced to move out because of the uninhabitable conditions of our apartment, that *** from Cambridge verbally released us from our lease, and that Cambridge found a replacement tenant, who then backed out of his leaseThus, we should never have been charged in the first placeBy reviewing the final account statement, it is apparent that I am compromising with Cambridge by not demanding a refund on the other fees, such as a $late fee and $in cleaning fees

We have tried to resolve the situation with [redacted] however what he is requesting is not something we will be able to do. The charges are accurate and due under his signed lease agreement with us.[redacted]Property ManagerCambridge House Apartments?

Review: At Cambridge, our downstairs neighbors would smoke pot in their apartment, which would stream into our apartment through the vents. We asked them to open a window when smoking, which worked well until last year when the neighbors started to keep their windows shut while smoking. Talking to the neighbors didn't resolve the issue, so we repeatedly complained to management. I also received a death threat from one of the neighbors, which I reported to the Davis PD. The amount of pot filling our apartment kept increasing, reaching an unbearable amount that made us dizzy and affected our breathing. Cambridge management kept telling us they would handle the issue, but the problem kept worsening. They eventually admitted they are not going to evict the neighbors because they have a medical marijuana card, and we were stuck in our living conditions. The health hazard at this point was unbearable, so we had no option other than moving out. [redacted] from Cambridge told us we would not be penalized for moving early because of our circumstances, and we would just need to pay a $250 fee. [redacted] then told me they found a new tenant, who had until Jan. 24 to cancel his lease. On Jan. 27, [redacted] emailed me that the new tenant actually only signed a prelease, and I needed to pay utilities until he moves in, which I agreed to. We moved out on Jan. 31, and on Feb. 4 I received a call from [redacted] saying the new tenant backed out and that [redacted], who verbally released us from the lease, is no longer working there, so we now owe February's rent. I then talked to the manager, [redacted], who told me that our living conditions of secondhand pot and and death threats were habitable, so we will be penalized for moving out early. I received a final statement on March 19 indicating that we need to pay $1190.65 in the next 10 days or would be reported to the credit bureau. I called and asked to speak to [redacted], though was told she too is no longer working there. I had to pay the $1190.65 so they wouldn't report me to the credit bureau.Desired Settlement: We were forced to move out due to the uninhabitable living conditions of our apartment, and Cambridge verbally released us from the lease. In addition, Cambridge found a new tenant to replace us, who then backed out of his lease. Thus, I am requesting that Cambridge refund me the $1170 charge for February rent, which I should never have been charged in the first place and only paid to avoid credit score deductions.
