AVOID!
Do not use Apex Plumbing unless you want to be taken advantage of and find yourself in a legal battle. Last year, I hired Apex for new/replacement plumbing on a whole home renovation which was approximately $12,000. Our agreement was 50% up front, 40% after rough in and 10% after all the finish work was completed. Due to issues with Apex, explained below, we decided to part ways after the rough in. Now Apex has sent our final bill for 10% to collections claiming that the arrangement was- 50% up front, 40% after rough in, and 10% at some other point. According to them, all finishing, final hook-up and "setting" was to be paid for out of contract and separately from our signed agreement. It doesn't make much sense that on a $12,000 plumbing job, things like placing and hooking up the toilets and vanities aren't included in their contract?
There are additional issues that we had with Apex. They are:
1) Their contract is extremely vague and open to interpretation. Unless you are a professional who knows what to ask and specify in a plumbing contract, you run a high risk of being taken advantage of. The contracts are done by hand on 5"x8" 2 or 3-ply carbonless paper.
2) It appears that Apex's intent from the beginning might have been to deceive. In our original walk-through and discussion, we talked about adding a bath that didn't previously exist. In our case, a shower was installed instead of shower/bath combo unit. Apex was happy to take out the shower unit and put in the unit I had wanted. However, it cost close to $1000 for the error. After removing the old unit, it just so happened that the owner's son had a friend wanting to buy the unused shower at a reduced cost. I have to question if this was the ultimate goal from the beginning.
3) Some, and by no means all, aspects of their work appeared rushed, not thought out properly and/or unprofessional. There are several things that stick out for me. The first is the fact that no drain line was ever hooked up to the water heater that Apex installed. Of course this wasn't discovered until after the drywall was installed. The next item is our Manabloc system. Our install looks unprofessional as some of the tubes are too long and the whole system is installed on particle board instead of finished drywall like the rest of our laundry room. Another concern is that it appears there may not have been any insulation installed behind the tub/shower that they installed. Our house is insulated with the blown expanding foam insulation. It is very air and sound tight. However, in the bathroom that we added it is possible to hear entire conversations outside. This bathroom has no window which leads me to believe there was no insulation placed in the wall or between the tub wall and the exterior wall. I realize that insulation was not part of plumbing contract. Most contractors though would give you a heads up and suggest that you add some insulation before they install a tub and permanently seal the wall.
4) Even with the above issues, we still wanted Apex to finish the project. After their rough in, we got a general contractor involved. When going through what still was required and which subs we were working with, we passed along the contact information for Apex and our HVAC contractor. My GC tells me that he tried contacting Apex on two or three occasions with them not returning their calls. (This was before any dispute over the final payment as everyone was still under the impression the final 10% was due after final setting and placement.)
I hope others can learn from our mistakes. For anyone involved in a major construction project, I highly recommend having an attorney or trusted GC review your contracts. If we had done that, we could have saved $2000-$4000.

Set up appointment two months before I dropped of my RV off to have three things looked at & fixed. They had my RV almost 2 weeks before doing anything...After two (2) weeks they called me to tell me nothing was wrong with my refrigerator & inverter ...my frig has been freezing things for 5 months so I will need to have someone else look at that (IF I EVER GET IT OUT OF THERE) If the inverter actually works now where it didn't when I took it in puzzles me ...because they AGAIN couldn't find anything wrong with it. What know I'm most concerned about is they are telling me a part needed to fix a pluming issue has been very hard to locate ...Its been another two (2) weeks ...now a month that they are stringing us along but tomorrow I plan to show up in person to physically see if they have DONE ANYTHING ...Camping World has a problem telling the truth
.....if they actually know it

Review: We recently purchased a 2010 Winnebago Chalet at the Mesa, Arizona location. We bought the extended service plan in which we were told included a bumper to bumper inspection and repair of anything found not working or worn out. Our experience has been horrible. First, one of the selling points was the motor home had an adjustable sleep bed. The service manager called to say they couldn't get it to hold air so replaced it with a regular mattress. We went along with this. The motor home was missing the privacy curtain used between the cab and the body. They were supposed to replace. The service manager, [redacted], said that was not part of the deal until we pointed it out on the paperwork. In other words he had not looked at the paper work before. He brought us a drape from another motor home that was torn and had stains. We refused this one and he finally agreed to order us a new one. Another repair requested was the arm holding the tv be repaired as it would not lock back while traveling. Instead of repairing or replacing the arm they tied the tv back with a strap. The technician who did our walk through had no idea if everything worked or not. On our first trip we found that the DC electric did not work so the refrigerator did not work. When we requested to bring it in we were told it would be at least two weeks before they could get to it. We went to another RV center and paid $50.00 to get the DC fixed. A week later we decided we better check out other things. We found out the GFI outlets did not work and none of them had a reset button. While parked, water leaked through the return air vent onto the dinette seat and floor. The front burner would not light on the stove nor would the pilot for the oven. It was beginning to look to us like all they did was fill the propane, clean the inside of the home and fix part of what we saw earlier and requested to be done. We took the motor home into service and were told that since we bought the extended service plan and it had only been a month or so everDesired Settlement: Repair all the issues listed above and a full inspection of the motor home to ensure all systems are working and nothing else is broken.

Review: See Detailed communication1-Charged for service to auto leveling jacks ($129.00) . The issue is still the same2-Charged for service to repair awning cover over slide. Went to pick up the vehicle and it was not repaired correctly (the tech forgot to test it) I wasted 2.5 hours waiting for the vehicle. I tested the slide and it still does not work correctly3-I was billed for a repair that I did not authorize (repair leak on sky light).I have tried to solve this issue by:1-Contacting Camping World via [redacted] on 07-192-Contacting Camping World and [redacted] Club via customer service on 07-20,21 and 223-Sending a copy of the attached letter to [redacted] Club/Camping World on 07-23-243-Contacting the store manager of Camping World [redacted] on 07-25 and 07-26Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the work completed on the slide ($129) and the repair on the sky light that I did not request. ($64.50) and compensation for lost time.Lost time=waiting for 2.5 hours for a repair that should have been completed and the fact that we can not use our RV until this issue is fixed.
