Candelas on the Bay

Review: I had a late lunch/dinner there for friends and family a day before my daughters wedding on 6/14/13. All went much as expected even though the restaurant is clearly overpriced for its quality of food and services it was okay for the occasion. When all was said and done my bill was $872.99 which included $136.40 as a tip for the two waiters. I handed my AMEX card to cover the bill and paid for it. When I arrived back home and just happened to be checking my AMEX account I observed that there was another charge for that same day on my AMEX card for the amount of $96.43. I contacted the restaurant in attempt to have this mistake corrected, I have contacted them on three separate occasions and have asked for the manager each time I have been told I would receive a call back from him/her but they have not even had the decency to call back. I did have a conversation with a female who answered the last time I called, she did not give me her name but after asking me a few question stated that she would look onto it and get back with me that day. Well to know surprise I have not had a call back yet nor expect one for that matter. They put on the show that there a high class restaurant clearly that's just a front. I have contacted AMEX and have disputed the charge.Desired Settlement: I have full confidence that AMEX will do there part and reverse the charges especially since I have the only valid receipt which was for the dinner, which has a signed receipt by me. The other false charge will not have a signed receipt from me because it is either an error or some one at the restaurant is stealing. Either way this is more a warning to others who might fall into the same game that this establishment plays on honest people.
