they could probably get the work done for between two and $400 if they were in fact just looking to get the work complete.   I expressed to them that a full encompassed company that offers benefits and has overhead with staff etc. could not compete competitively with the bids they were looking for. What she was really angry about was the fact that she committed to our company and then continue to shop after contracting and found a electrician working on his own to complete the work for half our cost. This does not make us unethical it just means she can't afford  A quality company but wanted to work with an individual contractor instead, there is nothing wrong with that but we are not an ethical in our margins, you can put our bids against any of the large service brands and we beat them by 50% or more every time.    Furthermore once we gave her credits to do the work during normal business hours she committed to the work and then canceled the night before. With any other client we would have had them sign our contract and therefore she would have been subject to cancellation fees. Because of her circumstance she did not physically signed the bed therefore she was not liable for the fees to cancel.   At the time that she notified me in the evening prior to the appointment I was in a different state and had no paperwork in front of me and informed her that there would be a cancellation fee. That is our typical procedure and policy for all our customers, we have invested time facilitating materials and setting aside a full day on our service schedule that a happy paying customer would've gladly taken. We cannot hold  Pointman's and have people cancel the night before with no penalty. However, in light of her feelings about the value of our company in comparison to the one man company she wanted to go with, I told her that we would waive any cancellation fees as we in no way wanted her to feel bad about the situation but it was explained to her husband Jesse that we are a company offering 100%  satisfaction with a worry free three-year warranty  and we could not offer that without cost above our smaller contracting competitors.   Erin went and made this complaint in the middle of her husband and I discussing the matters and after discussing with Jesse the situation he was fully understanding as to the level of professionalism and company that they were dealing with compared to the company that they chose. At that time he told me that there wouldn't be any complaint or any issues thereof because they did not incur any costs etc.  please contact the customer to verify that her requested outcome was satisfied that very day.   That said please retract the complaint from our listing as it is not valid and her true complaint of getting charged a fee is not valid because we in no way invoiced her after clarifying with Jesse the circumstances.   The situation is that she was angry at herself for buying a money pit of the house and she is taking it out on us as a contractor because she would prefer to use us with guarantees and warranties with skilled, licensed technicians but could afford us,  or at least that was the general energy and feedback coming from her husband when I discussed with him that evening on Nov. 19th.
